I've been hoping to see the doors and Incense and Peppermints at the end of the 60s, and I wasn't dissapointed. You are an awesome organist and you have a fine instrument there I wish I would have myself. Great demo👍
I'm picking up an American made Connie this week-end. Not a UK based one like yours, but it was in too good of shape and included everything, so I jumped on it! Super stoked!
@@LiamEnea This one has plastic coated wooden keys. It sounds really nice, but I don't know that it sounds as wheezy and awesome as your UK model. I may just be getting used to it, though. Not sure if there is supposed to be any difference in the sound of the 3 different makes of Connies, tbh.
Played many of those on my vox in the sixties bought it in 66 new used it untill 75 then sold it last year easy to maintain but getting too heavy to gig now. So invested in small keyboards which give all the sounds I require. Life moves on
Great job...You should see if Hal Leonard would help you publish a transcription Vox Organ Hits Song Book...It would be very successful since there are no real rock organ books that feature the Vox Organ...Very cool...thanks
Man you got probably the best sounding Vox organ that I've heard. Maybe it's because its a British version. Especially being a 64 instead of the 1965 version I see a lot of people use. But maybe it's just me
@@LiamEnea Ah ok well that definitely could be it then. Still sounds really great. Another thing I love that you do, is that you mix the different drawbar settings a lot instead of having them all out like a lot of people do with these. Nothing wrong with that, I just like to hear the different tone settings it offers when someone demonstrates these like you!
Good idea. I was hoping to learn about things like, how much the thing weighs, how many are left in usable condition, how much they cost back in the day as opposed to nowadays, who created it, etc. Just saying. Cool video.
Jay Crafton Thanks so much man! I played the Vox though a Fender Super Champ X2 mic’d with a Sterling condenser microphone direct into Audacity through a Blue Icicle exchanger. In Audacity, I placed some artificial reverb on the track to give it greater depth!
@@LiamEnea No that's a real song at the beginning of the video (very beginning). I don't know the name of it or who it is. Do you know who it is? Great video.
00:45 GREEN ONIONS!?! I thought that was rumble..i just be confused...smh...i guess that was also in Dragon, The Bruce Lee Story. Because that's where I learned about rumble...i think ..
The finest Continental demo I've heard. And I've heard many.
Thank you so much!!
I never can get enough of vox continental

Man I love the sound of the Vox Continental. Soundtrack of our lives.
This one time, I found a vox continental organ at a Goodwill. I played it and people loved it. It cost a lot of money to buy it.
Fantastic, great work! Much admired
Thank you so much, Fernando!
Thanks for the Dave Clark Five tunes!
seems that any song from the 60’s can be playied on a vox organ. well done
*mid 60s
the VOX Continental originates to 1962, so you can round it up.@@jackkitchen154
Thanks for sharing the awesome playing. As always, be blessed and refreshed!
Thanks for doing this and putting it out!

Nick Yates That’s awesome! The V301H models are really cool, especially with wooden keys!

Eric Burdon Archive Thanks so much, man! I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Outstanding work & thanks for your video, Liam! :-)

I legitimately loved this video!
This is far more comprehensive than I expected, great job!
Thank you so much man!!
Simply the best!
What a lovely tribute to the classics is it 👏🏻
A colossal achievement ! Very f'ing cool.

Happy New Year! Thanks! 🥂🥂🥂🥂🥂🥂🙂😎

Yamaha YC
Good job man! Thank you!
Thank you so much for making this!
I’m so glad you enjoyed it, man!!
Let’s jam Liam! Amazing talent! Keep playing!
You are amazing!!
Thank you so much, Gustavo!!
Loved it. Hadn't realized so many songs used the Continental. (a bit of advise, get a turban and look into the camera while playing.) 😉
When I hear this music, it makes me want to light a cigarette like back in the old days when everyone was a smoker
One more thing, I inspired Liam to learn harmonica and now he can play the most complicated harmonica riffs from Blues Traveler!
historical review That’s right!!
Love it!
I love the crazy carnival ride sound
Amazing!!
Welldone Dude ! Just One point : Green oinions was performed on an Hammond organ !

I think it’s the EQ sir!

Like listening to a Pebbles or Nuggets box set. Sweet!
Listen to -?Mark and the Mysterians---the midnight hour ---another great vox song
Such a great tune! Pure garage rock!
Chaotic Shea Stadium version. #classic

Amazing! Sounds sooooooo good. 👆👆👆👆
very cool😄😆
How are you recording this? Is it just DI? Love the reverb. Great playing :)

@@LiamEnea Cheers, thanks for the reply! TIL Audacity has some seriously nice reverb.
Every single song listed EXCEPT the one at the beginning/intro of the video!
Which one is that?
Thanks!
Ahh! That’s a little improv roll!
@@LiamEnea No that's a real song at the beginning of the video (very beginning).

Great video.
n8lbv That is “Don’t Bring Me Down” by the Animals!
@@LiamEnea Thanks!
Great, except "California Sun" by the Rivieras is 1964 not '65.

I'm pretty sure that Green Onions was played on a Hammond
What is the name of the track at the very beginning, the intro. Thanks
The Animals “Don’t Let Me Down” !
Where did you get your vox from? I can’t find one anywhere 😅
Check Reverb.com!! I’m sure they have some!
Can you do Sister Ray by the Velvet Underground?
what scale does he play at the begining?
F major
Yeeeeeeessss
Great songs , played well. However, to my ear, they don't sound quite right on that keyboard.
The Doors all the way
9:00 = LOL
Não gostei de nenhum som. Esse cara tem que aprender com Lafayette ou o Cleudir ex- Fevers,o que é som de órgão Esse cara não tá com nada !!!!!!
