Me too here
This study couldn't be any truer. I've seen with the mother of my own eyes. Here in Egypt particularly in Qalubiyyah governorate in one of Al-Qanatir Alkhairiyyah's villages namely Albarad'ah where I live my distant grandfather died and consequently her wife greatly grieved his departure and her life without him became seemingly impossible. What's sad is that she mentioned to those around her that she is gonna accompany him. Meaning die. SubhanAllah a few hours later after we came back from his funeral we found ourselves have to go bury her not to long after. While we know as Muslims that for every soul is an appointed term which can neither be preponed nor postponed. Their death became the talk of the village. So I just wanted to say that the likes of these studies are witnessed and not imaginary nor is it unreal. And so we ask Allah to forgive us and our loved ones before our time which can neither be brought forward nor delayed comes.
Assalammualaikom warrahmahtullahhi wabarrakkatuhhu

May Allaah reward you immensely Sheikh for this much needed lecture series. May He allow us to benefit and strive towards pleasing Him. I ask Allaah protect your family and preserve you upon goodness aameen.
I want to thank you so much Sheik for taking the time to put this entire series together. You have enlightened me beyond measure and I am so thankful to Allah SWT. This is exactly what I have been looking for to watch with my children before they got married. Although my daughter is already married, I sent it to her and her husband and my twin boys and their Fiance are watching it together. This subject of marriage is so important to this Ummah and I pray that those that Allah guided to this series, spread the knowledge and actually live it.

Laa ilaaha ill-allaahu, waḥdahu laa shareeka lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-ḥamdu, wa huwa ‛alaa kulli shay’in qadeer
“None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone, without partner. To Him belongs sovereignty and all praise and He is over all things omnipotent.”
Oh Allah, our Creator, Al Jabr, Al Qudus, Al Qawy... to You belong the best and most beautiful names. You alone we worship and trust, and to You alone we call out to and return ya Al'Hai Al'Qayum... Blessings and salutations on our noble Mursaleen, their families and their companions - may our entire Ummah be true followers of Your Religion and of Your chosen leaders and enjoy the intercession of Rasul'ul Allah s.a.w.
La hawla walla quwata ila bilah - Pour in our hearts the neverending concern and objective of pleasing You, Al'Wadud and envelope us in Your Love in the ways that befit Your Majesty. Make taqwa be the center of our existence and provide us with all that we need to pass our tests delightfuly. Please shelter us from all that displeases You and make The Straight Path our home and our way of life while we are here. Increase us in knowledge and steer us clear from that which does not benefit us. Ya Al'Mu'izz, inject in us the ability to recognize the truth and to distinguish it from falsehood... allow us to see what is true and grant us the ability to accept it as the truth and endear it to us by making what is false appear to us as false indeed- keep it away from us and us from it, to You alone we supplicate for guidance and plead.
Oh Allah Jella Jalaluhu, You know everyone's needs best and You are the best of planners, so fulfill them lovingly and make us content and grateful with what You decree. Provide us with deep understanding, free us from ignorance and debt and cleanse our sustenance by supplying us with the highest of halal opportunities in all their forms. Do not deprive us from fulfilling all 5 Pillars during our life time nor from visiting Your Holy Lands, and gift us with the priviledge of enjoying the end of our days in the one You choose for us.
Oh Allah Azzawajjal free Your creation from all forms of suffering, lead us into tawba and the wisdom of asking for forgiveness and the nobility of forgiving. Oh Al Aziz, return Your Masjids to Your rightful servants, and protect our ulamah by keeping their teachings alive and having their students apply what Your Quran and our Nabi's Sunnah have established, for us and all future generations.
Oh Al Mutakabbir, elevate our status and purify our past, our present and our future... and grant us victory on that Day. We beg You Allah Ghafur AlRaheem for forgiveness for our sins... wipe our accounts clean and fill them with abundant mandalas of good deeds to recieve our book on our right hand and allow us to be from among Your pious allies... a Sabiqun, a Sabiqun. Oh Allah we seek refuge in Your perfect words from every fitnah, from the simplest to the most dangerous... including from the trials of the Dajjal and the end of times... and every form of evil You have created... every devil, every vermin, every illness, from misguidance and ingratitude, and protect our Ummah from Shaytaan and his agenda against humanity at large. Allahuakbar!
Please purify, strengthen and unite the Muslim Family in ways that exceed our expectations and envelope our hearts and souls. Put Barakah in everything we receive from You and in everything we do. Save us from the punishment of the grave and make Jahanam Haram for us at all times. Grant us a blessed death upon being submitted to You, after uttering the most sincere 'la ilaha il Allah' , and aid us in answering the 3 questions that define our destiny. Unite us with those whom You love most upon the resurection and enter us into every level of Jannah until we are able to finally enjoy Al Firdeous, and be honored by your Glorious company forever and ever...
Amin, amin ya Rabbi Alameen
This is a wonderful and important topic very much required in this era. One thing I am looking forward to hearing is about polygamy in Islam, many men are not understanding this command. This is the most quoted and memorized ayahs of the Quran by most men. Is polygamy even healthy for a family? Most men exercise polygamy for lust and desire. There are some scholars agree that polygamy is contradictory to the verse that sets the fundamentals of marriage in Islam as Mawaddah and Rahma.
If polygamy is not healthy for a family, it would not have been permitted. There are many things to follow to make it work. First focus is on getting closer to Allah. If getting an additional wife, would help a brother and his wife (maybe she can't cater to his needs/herself told him) he can take another wife. It is better to marry a second than have a side chick.
Brother, I understand this is halal, however, there are very strict conditions for a man to marry multiple women. “but if you fear that you will not do justice (between them), then (marry) only one…” (Surah an-Nisaa, 4:3)
(4:129) You will not be able to treat your wives with absolute justice not even when you keenly desire to do so.
(It suffices in order to follow the Law of Allah that) you incline not wholly to one, leaving the other in suspense.161 If you act rightly and remain God-fearing, surely Allah is All-Forgiving, All-Compassionate.
Unfortunately, there are men who neglect their first wives and children when they "fall in love" with a younger woman. My neighbor's husband married a woman 42 years younger, he has been married to his 1st wife for 42 years. Instead of spending the little time left with the woman who had several children for him and enjoying his golden years with her, he causes stress in the family. So where is the tranquility? He also treats the 2nd wife better than the 1st wife. This is not an isolated incident. Men over 65 have gone crazy, they just abandon their families for a younger woman who is mostly a gold-digger, when he falls sick after a couple years she dumps him back to his first wife who then takes care of him after he has abandoned her. This is the new trend among men, particularly more so in some communities. I wish the shuyukhs will address this matter.
Sister, what your neighbour's husband is doing is wrong. If she was fine with him getting married again, she may have not been able to cater to his needs or so as it is better to marry a second than cheat on his wife. Only Allah knows the pressure and temptations he was going through making him marry a second.
My grand dad had 2 wives and they both loved him to death. He treated them fairly alhamdulillah. I know men also who married a second time and seem to neglect the first. I think it is all upto the individual. We can't condone polygamy coz it is permitted, we only should advise the brothers strictly if they intend to do so.

No matter how strong and independent you are, there will be a point when you will feel complete only with the presence of a spouse.
Man is emotionally, psychologically & physically weak.
In conformity to the norms of the Prophet S.A.W (Hadith about 3 men)
Marriage closes the tricks of Satan and helps focus on other matters of life.
Whoever marries has completed half of his faith.
-marriage is the way of Prophets
-marriage in Islam is seen as garment
-You are tranquil to them and they are tranquil to you.
-marriage is a miracle in every sense of the word
-most wholesome form of pleasure

Staying in some relationships are more devastating than being alone. Continuous mental torture can spring up sicknesses in one of the partners. Men are mostly on the bright side.
My wife says that she is going through mental torment right now when she is with me even though I am doing all I can to better myself as a husband. Yes, I have my shortcomings but she is unwilling to change anything about herself so I don't understand why she complains about things but is unwilling to change anything about herself.

All women should wear Hijab/Burqa.
All men should lower their gaze.
All should pray 5 times Namaz daily.
Parents should haste in marriage of children when they become sexually adults (As per Biology, age of 9 to 11 years for girls and 12 for boys) and until then they should carefully watch their children.
It's not necessary that you must have children after the marriage.
Studies can be done even after marriage. Many women even do PH.D after marriage.
