    1) i was working there back in 2015-2019.
when the mall start to reopen somewhen in 2013,
the year from 2013-2016 was good,
it start dying when velocity and mytown start to open somewhen in 2016,and thing is getting worst when eko cheras open in 2019.
plus the mall layout was based from a old mall so it is not suitable comparing modern looking mall like velocity and mytown.
    2) and about the story is there a ghost on that mall, the answer is YES !
even back in peak good old days 2015 i heard many stories from customer who after watch movie midnight they see a long hair girl in car park, and some people cannot find a way out when driving out... yes that place is creepy ! mind you that thing is happen when the place got so many customer in 2015,i bet it's 1000 times creepy now .

The ghost story really creeps me out. Thanks for sharing. I was lucky I didn't bump into any while filming. But if you managed to see any weird shadows in the footage, don't tell me... :D

I moved to a rental house in a nearby taman around the same time of its reopening. I experienced the first few months of its (sadly) short-lived bustling period. I would go to Uniqlo, MPH, Mr. DIY etc. Then, when I saw Akemiuchi went away, I knew the 'new' mall was declining, it can never regain its Plaza Phoenix glory. I think part of the mistake was it reopened too soon, way before Taman Connaught MRT station was completed. Even after the station was completed, the connecting bridge wasn't there yet, it was constructed later. They screwed the timing and missed the opportunity badly. Anyway, I still go there sometimes because the TGV there is less crowded.

Yeah my mum met one of the management when she worked there before.....she mentioned that the mgmt is not keen or enthusiastic to find new tenants or make improvements on the mall. Is kinda like a passive thing to them.... What a waste! Since they built a bridge that linked to MRT station...

I think should maintain the name as "Plaza Phoenix" as it's definitely a Nostalgia thing. Cheras is Multiple Rhyme. I think when changing the fence it becomes higher confidence to biz here.

The overcrowded foreigners living the area becoming the fear factor and uncomfortable to moving around. Not to mentioned a petty crimes and crazy traffic are scary.. With the MRT, its even much convenient for residents surrounding the area to go to Kajang, Damansara or KL for shopping & window shopping.

I think the MRT connection is actually against it's success. Last time it is very hard for people to go taman cannaught due to the 8 lane highway in between. After building the MRT, it is just 1 station over to leisure mall.

This is the old mall that in my list of research study for my thesis, as i believe its dying due to "old" and no longger attractive and i was suggesting a revived to survived in 2007. The Mall, Indah Parade, Ampang Park, Ampang Point, PKNS Shah Alam hardly surved and need major interior upgrading to maintain its attractiveness & energy saving. My research subject as example of new modern concept & excellent well survived Pavillion, The Garden, Sunway, Midvalley, KLCC Mall. My 5 subject to be upgrade for competitiveness and revived The Mines, IOI Mall Puchong, Metro Kajang, Alamanda Putrajaya, Lot 10.
Architecture, Interior Design and well maintained facilities playing a good major roles for anchor tenant & customer attractions.

Alamanda also not too many people. I remember when Subang Parade was first opened I was so excited I went there via the komuter from PJ. Wasn’t too impressed with it even then. It was the one and only time I went to Subang Parade. It was dying from the start
