Ur title is very misleading...
low ceiling 😬
@@rusty6460 ya it is. Quite many older malls have low ceilings. But overall still pretty decent.
FYI This mall is more crowded during weekdays, especially lunchtime. Also it has improved a lot, not decline, since NSK moved in.
@@user-pb1rz4xu3x thanks for sharing. 😁 Ya hope that the place will continue to improve further
sejak jln2 utama jadi one-way street, pegi usj samit byk leceh dari dekat mahupun jauh dari bandar2 lain walaupun guna kesas...mati lo
@@KingFisher-v1i I see. Sedihnya. 😢 Tapi mall ini ok untuk datang dengan keluarga. Sebab tak crowded sangat dan Masih Banyak kedai 😁
Strata shopping mall… Not single owner mall, so difficult to have cooperation with the owner… luckily Amreit bought lot as major owner lot.. and most of the anchor tenant brought by Amreit..
@@mz6228 yaa. Noticed that quite many stratified malls are not doing well. Glad to learn that Amreit bought over has greatly benefited the mall. 😁
Just move connaught pasar malam into the mall
I love watching videos where I can see kislux different knockoffs. If it looks well made, it saves time and I can reconsider if I really want to buy it, or buy the real thing. If you have the time, it would be great to keep watching more videos like this
凄凉! 它过去曾经繁荣过!

Ya it is 😂
It for sales and the selling price will keep people running.

Ya it is. People wanna eat and shop at the same place! XD
Bukit Raja and Bukit Tinggi Klang Aeon also getting quiet
@@gdam0079 thanks for the recommendation. Will check them out 😁
is the hotel adjacent to the mall still open?
@@ptanamas oh I didn't take notice. 😅 Not sure if it's still opened
From the mid-1990s to early 2000s, this used to be my second home as every weekend I'd drive from PJ and spend 2 to 3 hours at Tower Records. The guy in charge of the jazz section, Bob, used to bring in plenty of great jazz titles and box sets.
@@RaulSelva good times 😁
Put Nsk, Lulu mall or Mydin sure laku this Fahrenheit mall albeit different crowd will come in (not tourist, but migrant worker or local people)😅.. Seriously🧐
@@HecticSchedule-m5e 😆😆😆 but now the mall looks quite atas la. Like a smaller version of Pavilion without the footfall
Still remember Tower Records there.
They are lucky becoz nearby signature BB ala-shibuya crossing and LED nightlife.. If this landmark dont have there, this mall not sure what is their future.. Other place need also like this to make their mall alive..
Thanks for sharing. Now I know. :)
There used to be a food court in Fahrenheit 88 on the second floor, and there was this famous fried rice stall there. Anyone knows where they are now, or if they are still in business?
@@ezruy yup can watch till the bonus section at the end of the video. The rice stall is still there and good business still from what I see. Had to wait quite a while to get the food 😆

Ya it is. Surprised how this mall managed to remain in such good condition with low fottfall. Or am I missing something?😅
😍 Hotline Cafe . 1st floor . 1987
Wow. Still around? Must visit again!
My fav place when dating with my wife. The maze/dead small lots always feels weird to me. But the cinema is nice, not crowded. This was back in 2016. Lot of nostalgia for this place.
Thanks for sharing your story related to this place. It is always very heart-warming to read such stories in the comment section. Happy blessed life to you and your wife. :) And thanks for following my videos and channel. Really gives me lots of motivation whenever I get these little small, heart-warming stories. :)

Many malls in Malaysia lack variety. Mostly same shops and brands. Food is often a distinguishing thing for malls. The era of ownership for outlets is over. Lack of control over its variety is now a challenge.
Yes very true!
The CHANGE OF FENG SHUI IN THE ENERGY CIRCLE OF FATE. ! ( I KNOWN OF A PEOPLE WHOM TARNISH ME SAYING I AM NOT SUCCESS, AND HE IS SUCCESS, BCOS HE WORKS IN EXECUTIVE LEVEL IN SG.WANG IN 2006. ) TODAY FATE PUNISH HIM.
The only mall that will open until 1am on New Year Eve to celebrate the countdown near Lot 10! Dam nostalgia sia 😂
Wow. Didn't know this. Thanks for the fun fact. Maybe can check it out on 31st Dec?😊
That was long long time ago 😂
@kenx9984 😂😂😂
Man, somebody or some company please revive this mall! It's river of money mall.
Even to this moment, Tenpanyaki here taste better than other mall outlet.
Which floor is the Tepenyaki? Now that you said it, gotta give it a go. 😂
U should stop by at chocolate shop
Sure. Thanks for the recommendation 😊
Woahh anime con at Subang Parade?? How have i not known about this?!?!! When did you record this video?
Semi dead mall. I go to play table tennis there once a while where i believe that the owner wouldn't have turned a portion of the ground floor into a table tennis corner if there are other kinds of tenants available. The area is basically occupied by students and young adults who rent the apartment units nearby. They go to other more happening malls. It's now a stylised food court rather than a mall.
Interesting stuff. Thanks for sharing 😊
👇 Gasoline check in button
Sorry what do you mean?
@@ryan_go_where there's a cafe name gasoline at level 6 back in those days
The ceiling is low because that floor was originally a car park, during the ong period, landmarks has applied to convert it into shopping floor but not approve. After landmark sold to others, they applied for transformation of the parking floor into shopping floor, it was approved, so you get a low ceiling shopping floor
I see. Thanks for sharing. 😊 Good to know more
Sorry but your rating is unfair ^_^;;; This is an old mall that was build during a time with different ceiling regulation. It is not like that they can change that without tearing down the building. Why you use the ceiling height as a matric knowing it is an old building? No air conditioning? Please specify where exactly, which floor, which section, so I can verify it. Don't just say it in general. From my experience I have never encountered such thing as no air conditioning, unless there was a problem with the aircond on that day.
I only few months ago started occasionally go there while going to Lalaport and yes there is Air conditioning
Hi thanks for sharing. I understand. Everyone's rating is different. 😊
6:26 Sungei Wang is a not really a mall that fits today's definition. It is a shopping center but that does not mean it is all about shopping. These shuttered untis that you showed are not shops since it lacks any signage. They are used as storage rooms for shops. That is why they are in the back. 6:41 If the units are not owned, it would be covered with decorations as seen here. So those shuttered shop lots are in used as storage space, as I said earlier. did you know there is a Mr.DIY in there. Ever wondered where they keep their stock? Or shoe shops for that matter. As you could see the shop lots do not have a large space for storing stocks because back then I don't think shop owners carry a lot of stock so no need for storage. Walking through Sungei Wang is like walking in a town that is housed in a building. You have shops, schools (there is a music school somewhere), service center (saloons, barbers, repair shops etc). The winding maze of shops makes it feel like you are on an adventure exploring a cave. Btw, BB Plaza use to be connected to Sungei Wang making it even more confusing LOL. I like that the management clean up the place and stop people from smoking indoors. In the past, walking pass those phone vendors was the worse experience because that area will stink from cigarette smoke.
Thanks for sharing., didn't know they could smoke inside in the past.
There was even a bank inside the complex. I think it was D&C Bank.
What bank is that?
I grew up going to Sg Wang in d 80s ❤❤❤
Me too. My childhood place. Sg Wang lots of memories
Used to be the it place for youngsters and hip ppl, now it has a giant baby shark as entrance attraction. How far has river of gold fallen....
Well it is still holding up ok. Wouldn't say the best. But still doing good 😊
I heard sungai Wang plaza was forced to paid a gangster group in jalan alor for protection all the time, they were sending their gangsters hiding around those back strairs to monitor. I knew they also have a station in one of the floor in the shoplot with McDonald's at the outside road. They are robbing people along jalan Bukit bintang, nearby areas and at jalan alor then. So my classmate told me that no body will wearing good and nice to go to sungai Wang because he will get rob, everyone is wearing slippers to go to sungai Wang so that they are not get rob. I got robbed twice, one at jalan Bukit bintang one behind the pavilion cinema, a group of gangsters hide in their shop besides pavilion cinema and go out to rob passing by guys, I robbed when lot of people passing by during afternoon. Those shops have been demolished by another group of gangsters from Petaling street
1990 I heard my late uncle said the feng shui Naga was living under the ground of the road in front of sungai Wang plaza for 20 years, don't know whether His is still there, so he went to see, I heard he said His is still there, so he predicted sungai Wang will ong for another twenty years from 1990. During 2012, I knew they are going to build an underground MRT way passing through Jalan Bukit Bintang, I guessed they are going to cut off the tie of feng shui of this Naga, it's terrible! It's proven that sungai Wang plaza fall afterwards
Hopefully Long Naga still there. A place with fond memories for many 😊
@@ryan_go_where I don't know feng shui well but I think the Naga tie is coming all the way from nearby mountain so when they cutting His way underground of Bukit bintang with MRT railway, His has to stay before the railroad and can't come over to sungai Wang, so you can see another nearby mall is ong after 2012
Man, somebody or some company please revive this mall! It's river of money mall.
I used to visit these places maybe about 15 years ago during the days of digital cameras where there used to be a lot of stores selling those DSLR accessories and a lot of money changers to convert Ringgit to USD. Those days the rate was like 1 USD = RM3.00. Those days prices were cheaper and I went to Disneyland, LA, Vegas and Arizona frequently bringing my small kids along. Nowadays, my kids had grown up and the Ringgit has deteriorated. With the proliferation of online shopping, less and less trip is made to these malls.
Those were the good days when ringgit is still strong
