I'll be stationed in japan for a few years. One of the first things I'm going to do is find an FD and buy the hell out of it. They've been my dream car ever since I knew what it was.
So there’s this rx-7 on my street it is un-claimed and I see it every day and some day I will be the owner of it Edit two years later. It has disappeared. Someone might have bought it or they scrapped it. Im at a loss.
@@chowmeowching159 Uncultured and not wanting to learn the rotary. It was in pretty bad shape exteriorly with paint and cosmetics. the subframe was very intact and the like. Its a shame I do however know where there is another FC nearby
Because I already have an rx7, and rebuilds have gotten expensive in the past 10 years. That's why. I can do an LS swap for about 3/4 the cost of a properly rebuilt 13b. Why am I going to go buy a whole new car when I like my 7 for what it is? How about mind your own business and not worry about what other people do with their property?
LS’s are actually very light, especially for their general size, but specifically light for their displacement. That and just because they’re a pushrod V8, does not mean they are outdated..
Daily my RX-7 FC turbo II S5, even though it's winter here now. So far so good. The cold seems to have knocked out the central unlocking for the passenger door. Has to be unlocked from that side or from the inside, but locks with the driver side fine. At the end of the day it's still way more reliable than the FD which isn't built to handle the heat going on in front. People talking about off the bat reliability mods one should do for an FD to make it last. That was a big reason I got an FC over the FD. Price, looks and Initial D other.

I understand your point. When I used to own the RX7, I bought a Civic as a daily right after purchasing the RX7. I ended up driving the RX7 way more often than the Civic and ended up selling the Civic soon after. There was a youtuber did a video on a daily driven Lexus LFA. Also, there are plenty of videos of people who drive classic cars daily. Even now, the MX5 still couldn't make me smile like how the RX7 did.
MrMeoow91 damn. I think I could have the same problem. I currently own a 1998 Daewoo Espero. Not a bad car. Reliable and economic. And here, where I live there is no choice. Only old Daewoo models or new GM models, like Cobalt, Malibu, Orlando etc. And when I am moving to States I could really have the same problem that you had. How stupid someone has to be to ls swap a Mazda Rx7?
Sometimes they need to swap in non wankel rotary engines because they buy an rx7 shell.
Not very considering its a much better engine....
Keisuke Takahashi If you had to swap an engine into your car its because you let takumi drive it and he blew the engine.
Andrei Fratian are you talking about Ls engines?
did you consider that maybe an rx7 engine fits into an rx7 shell?
RX8 is underrated as Hell. I've been loving the car since I was 6-7.
It's an unreliable piece of shit with its fucking plethora of issues. Has a nice body design though.

Apex seals, that’s what they are so great.
Wut?
is this supposed to be sarcasm?
yup pencil leads>piston rings
why rotary is so great.
- lower thermal efficiency
- lower compression ratios
- wrose fuel economy
-DOUBLE power to weight ratio
-High power to size ratio
-Modern apex seals
-Just swap the fucking seals every few years
