Welcome to my latest tutorial on 3D modeling in Plasticity! In this video, I'll be showcasing Plasticity, the 3D program for CAD designers and 3D artists which is revolutionizing the way 3D artists create 3D models. With its lightning-fast speed and intuitive interface, Plasticity is quickly becoming a go-to tool for artists who specialize in concepting and 3D design.
In this tutorial, I'll be walking you through my process of creating a watch 3d model using Plasticity. You'll see firsthand how easy it is to manipulate shapes and create intricate details, all while maintaining incredible speed and precision. This video is perfect for beginners where we are covering the basic modeling operations of Plasticity.
Let me know in the comments what you think and what tutorials / videos you would like to see.

I‘m loving all of these. Thank you so much.
Das schönste an dem Tutorial ist deine Freude. Go ahead!!!!
Mega! Freut mich zu hören!!:)
Awesome Tutorial… Thanks again🎉🎉
I put this in my to-do list. Amazing tutorial, as before!!! Very excited to model this with your workflow. 🙏👌❤️
Thanks for all your comments :))
This watch is definitely a bit more in depth with tons of techniques:)
For 00:27:07 if you extruded the solid first and then used radial array, that would work
Thanks!
Thanks a ton budd
Thanks! Another amazing video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
awesome!
Awesome Tutorial… Thanks again
You're welcome!
Thanks for doing these tutorials, I have never used any CAD software but this new software looks very interesting
What are you usually using for modeling and in which field are you active?
@@nikita.kapustin I'm not into modeling yet, but I do model architectural stuff in Revit for my school and do some clothing simulation as a side hustle. But I really want to gain some knowledge on product design for the future

iam a max's user, after i saw this, it makes me amaze
I know right! ENjoy the ride
Lovely tutorial! Thanks!! Also have you considered creating a discord community for modeling? Would be a nice way to build a community around the new program 🤔
well done, but I don't show reference image for watch, can't work X'RAY for object, what should I do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Those minute and hour show things are called: Hands !
Thanks!
Hi Nikita I am one of your early subscribers. I really love your tutorials. I have a request can you make a video about assigning materials to plasticity 3d models while iges export. While working on keyshot the iges import from plasticity 3d has the same material applied to all parts. I would be very thankful to you. Keep making amazing tutorials my friend.
The renderer in Plasticity is extremely basic. Wouldn't use that for product rendering. It's just so you can work better in the viewport.
I would suggest you create your own, photorealistic materials in Keyshot.
Wow you're going at Plasticity tutorials fulltime it seems. That's awesome!
Yeah it's really a lot of fun and the demand is high. So I am just testing and experimenting with what works, what the people want and what I enjoy.
However there will be in the future again product rendering tutorials and other videos as well again.
Im subscribed... many thanks Nikita...Can I ask - are you affiliated with the product itself ?
Glad to hear!:)
No. I am not affiliated in any way. Just enjoying and want to show that amazing product to other people.
great video , can you share the reference image please
Sure:

Alternatively you can just screenshot your RUclips player when someone is showing a reference in a video
Hiya Nikita. I was going through the Phone Modelling Tutorial and I did something wrong that had me have extra edges/faces etc and i could not delete it. I was wondering if there was any tutorial already in place for clean up of extra edges etc? or how to delete edges or faces that are extra?
Do you mean the iPhone Product Design Course? If so, you can write me an email at nikita@nikitakapustin.com and attach the file or send some screenshots. Because I am not sure if I understand why you can't delete the extra edges/faces.
Usually you can select those edges/faces and delete with SHIFT+X or just pressing X or delete.
@@nikita.kapustin Thanks Nikita. Yes, it is the design course. i deleted everything last night and thought id start a fresh. And thanks, if i face any issue this time i ll be sure to send you the file by email.
Thanks :)
thats strange but i can't cut body by array of curves. i can cut by a single line in array and by a pair of joined lines into V, but not by all lines together. and i can't join them into one curve. why it is so ?
The hour, minute and second indicators are called "hands" in English if that helps :)
That would help definitely if I would understand what you mean with hour, minute and seconds?
Can you please explain it what you mean exactly. I think I didn't get it 😁
@@nikita.kapustin - the little thin arms that swing around to indicate the time... we call them the watch 'hands'.....so the hand of the watch is at 6am ... etc.
@@MichaelFlynn0 oooh.. got it. Thanks!:)
Yes thanks, modeling is easy but how about uvs and texturing with this king of terrible topology ? It would be nice to see tut about it 😊
With a watch the only thing that needs UVs are the bezel and face. The rest can be achieved with a Tri-Planar node.
Exactly. In 99,99% of all of my product renderings I never UV unwrapped anything. I use procedural textures or texture maps with box/triplanar mapping.
I am not an expert in uv unwrapping so at the moment I would have to learn it more to be able to teach it
I love your teaching style - not so rigid and you seem so excited to be using Plasticity - a big plus. Would you mind sharing the reference you used so I can try my own? Thank you.
Glad to hear that you have this impression from me!:)

Otherwise if you can't find the reference from someone who is showing it in the video. You can just screenshot it from the RUclips video, crop it and use it yourself !:)
Hour hands, minute hands, second hands. What's you native language? feel free to use it when you get stuck we can use google translate if needed.
Thanks!
German and Russian are my native languages.
And I should use a Google translate to get the right word so I learn it 😁
@@nikita.kapustin Good work. I'm learning a lot. It definitely the fastest program available.
Faster Way to Select Multiple Faces of Curve is Just Hide your Main Body, Select them All in Face Select and Un-Hide it! EASY XD
Oh, right! Thanks for the tip.
@@nikita.kapustin Thank you for the amazing video
