The Galaxy Note 8 is much more affordable than the s24 lineup not everybody can afford a S24 phone I have a Galaxy Note 8 I just had the battery replaced not too long ago now it's like a new phone
At least with this phone, you are still getting a much better screen quality and build quality, faster performance, and better features including the camera than what you can get with a new budget phone like the A05 that you could buy at the same price. The advantages however with a new budget phone is that you're getting a much newer version of software and probably the battery life lasts much longer.
I don’t, they’re fucking braindead. They are always registering touches that you don’t want because it’s impossible to hold the phone securely without touching the edge. And it’s impossible to use the stylus anywhere near the edge without losing control as it slides off. The “edge” display was the one thing on this phone that I hated. Other than that, it was a hero. I only ditched it because my car demanded I carry an iPhone. So my wife inherited the note 8 and she’s still very happy with it.
I thought I would too but after I've had this S24 ultra for a week now I've really came around to the flat display. But I still love the curved display.
I just bought the note 8, it will be going to a galaxy note collection i am building up. So far, i obly have the note5 and am also looking to acquire the note2
I did purchase the Note9 back in March 18. It may not be much in today's standards but, coming from a midrange, I can see the difference. My Note9 is an Exynos though. Looking into getting the Note8 as well for my work.
This is still the most functional and aesthetically pleasing phone to look at and still rocking the Note 8! Exactly the same goes for the Note 9 as well. Sadly, it's the updates that will make this magnificent phone obsolete. But till then, if it still works fine, why change it. Imho, listening to other people's opinion and trying to keep up with the latest & greatest isn't quite the point these days, now is it?
I'm still using my Note 8 as a WIFI extender. Sometimes as a back up data connection. Does not hold much of a charge though so it'll have to be plugged in most of the time.
I had a galaxy note 8 in 2018 and I loved it but unfortunately it stopped working a year later. I have the 13 pro max now but plan on buying the note again because I miss the experience and don’t want to pay top dollar for phones like the s22, s23, & s24 ultra
I don't like how this guy thinks man its a phone why would you pay 300 to 400 for s24 just for updates lol wtf most people just need a decent phone this is and any other phone also is in this price range
@SimpleAlpaca could you advise me on whether to upgrade my Note 8 to the S24 or S24+? I love my Note 8 but it is starting to show its age. I can upgrade to the S24 for free or add $1.88/mo to up the GB. Or should I go for the S24+ for less than $6/mo? I dont want to regret trading the Note 8 in ya know? I'd love your thoughts! Hope to hear from you soon!😊
I still use my Note 8. It performs great, and the battery holds its charge very well (and I use my phone all day long). Why would I buy this phone and not a current generation Samsung? The missing headphone jack This is more important to me than any updated feature in the current gen phones.
After so many years it broke down on me on my first days of week-long holiday. Just then I realized that you can't live a normal life without a phone. Can't call, can't use GPS, can't scann qr code menu they had at my hotel restaurant. Now got myself an used Z Fold 5 and I'm loving it. Will see how long these foldable phones last.
I think of you had this same smartphone but if you could put the latest version of Android on it, then it would be completely worth buying as a budget phone.
I will never buy a phone that does not have expandable memory I will keep buying the s20s s20 ultra S10 note f*** the software I want to expandable memory I'm not keeping my private pictures and stuff in the cloud they're trying to bully us into the cloud we want micro sand discs
