You complain they don't just shoot Lan, but let's face it, explosions don't kill old men, so what are guns going to do?
The way Lan just decks that wannabe cowboy with his electronic brother in a cellphone is rich beyond belief.
Spoilers for the post game, but, man, it would have been so touching if during the Serenade fight, they just randomly threw out that "IceBall M" attack.
First part was half an hour, second part was 1 hour, third one is 2 hours, i await the 16 hour long mmbn6 review
I am watching all of it without skipping for sure. What else was I supposed to do at work? work?
The scenario of Mamoru almost dying thanks to an attack on World 3 was the third game to make me feel for a fictional character. As a kid this plot line hit me HARD! and if I remember right, this was the one time I wanted a Navi to DIE.
I forgot how unsympathetic Cossak was about the torment he and his team put Forte through, and even not acknowledging Forte's right to be angry with them and distrust humans, instead his own creator calling him a thing, a mistake that needs to be erased. All this does is make me side with Forte over Cossak and his goons who falsely blamed him and don't even acknowledge they were in the wrong for what they put him through.
Fun fact: The number machines’s numbers of the Japanese version was obtainable from merch at the time, especially the Lotte’s chocolate wafers and calendars. Along with the figures and toys seen in Lan’s room, and the donjara (kids version of Mahjong), it’s weird, but BN3 had obvious product placements
no matter how many times i see the scene where Lan shouts "MEGAMAN ATTACK!" and throws his PET, i can't help but laugh
Food for thought. This is the only game in which Lan and Hub present to have a special connection. If you realize, Megaman will hint with little to no subtlety how he feels hungry or experiments pleassure out of things, in comments like "this feels great doesn't it Lan?" or "Aren't you hungry Lan?"
"Megaman, ATTACK!!"
"Lan only has one brother. And he's an iPhone app now."
I cannot express how happy seeing an adult human person struggle with the alpha fight made me feel validated. This was my first Battle network game as a kid and I was OBSESSED. However I had very little internet access so every dumb puzzle or problem I simply had to figure out myself. I remember getting to Bass and it was the most impossible boss fight of my little 8 year old life. I remember screaming so loud out of joy that my parents thought I hurt myself…… And then came Alpha.
A small detail I just noticed:
“Never trust a grown man wearing a cowboy hat.”

This aint a review, this a whole speedy walk through.
Tora is one of my favourite characters; a cocky but nice guy, and a competent NetBattler with a tough Navi.
"Its gutsman..."
