IDK why you were demonetized, you are non political(at least here) maybe big broadcast is flexing their muscles
Extremely interesting and educational! Would enjoy seeing much more of NAB2024. Especially new studio equipment.
When you go to these shows and talk about certain products can you put the name of the product or company in a label on the screen?
Hello sir how can I contact you to make an advertisement for our site

Loved that interview with Televes. They seem like the real deal, total dedication to their products with engineers running it and not sales ruining it. Quality over quantity. The product sells itself approach. I will give Televes a try on my next purchase. I currently have a great combo with my Channal Master Omni+50 and my new ADTH NexGen tuner(Beta tester). Picking up 105 channels 11 of them NexGen.
Anyway, thank Tyler for all your dedication and support. Follower for a number of years. Very happy cord cutter for well over 5 years
See how they are in a year, if they are around, or bought-out.
yes the Televes interview was a highlight!
Thanks Tyler, I appreciate that you are at the show and allowing us to tag along. Havier seemed like a great guy that was informative and willing to give you good information.
And he speaks American English
I really enjoyed the interview with Javier. Televes is a good company that is actually concerned with the development of quality products and not just marketing them to sell. Thanks for the video.
I appreciate all the information you provide to us on how to cut the cord. Thanks
Televes makes outstanding Antennas
Yes, they are an excellent company!
Their policy of selling only to professional installers is complete bullshit, though.
@@caulkins69 Not anyone. They have an e-commerce page on their website. Anyone can now order a single product directly from Televes.
@@AntennaMan Thanks for clearing that up, Tyler.
There are still no battery powered atsc3.0 portable tvs in a storm no atsc 1.0 tv is not available in the market
Thought your standup location was great. Really captured the ambience of being there. Thanks for the report.
Don’t understand the Spam or demonetization, Tyler. Great video and good coverage. Thanks for your efforts traveling to NAB and I hope YT corrects the monetization issue real soon. A shame quality content creators are being impacted for no discernible reason.
I hope RUclips corrects the issue soon but Michael Saves said this issue with his channel hasn't been fixed since November of 2022. If it stays the way it is now, it will severely cripple my RUclips channel.
@@AntennaMan this is happening to far too many channels. I realize they need to keep tabs on things, but they are going too far IMHO.
Interesting stuff! I hope you get remonetized soon Tyler.
Your concern is greatly apricated. Would you be willing to send a superthanks support or donate to Tyler to help out?
@@danr2652 Done! ✅
So glad you are covering this event. Hope you can claim the visit as a business expense at tax time.
You know it!
I liked your interview with Javier Ruano from Televes. He has a wealth of knowledge about OTA TV and I am glad he shares it with the OTA community.
Yes, Javier is great!
Awesome interview with Javier from Televes! So refreshing ✨ I'll be waiting for their new products!
I love these on location videos. Well done Tyler.
I just bought a Televes DAT Series BOSS Mix LR Low-VHF/High-VHF/UHF based on your recommendation. I ordered through Your channel. You're gonna save me a lot of money and your videos are very helpful. 📺
That's one of the best antennas on the market. Hopefully it works well for you!
have just watched the Televes Dat Boss Mix and just wondering if comes already with pre amplifier
@@megacap55 Yes it does, it's built right into the back end of the antenna itself. You connect the coax to it, and snap that module into the back. It also already has built-in FM and 5g-LTE filters to keep those from causing problems.
@@MikeBear1231 great, i hope works the filter for 700MHZ LTE although have not channels of those bands but need a futureproof set up

Nice interview with Televes.. Thanks.
Just donated sir,,, you have helped me so much with your antenna service and all of your experience expertise in this matter,,, forever grateful sir,,, please keep it up!!!
Thanks so much!
No question about it. Televes makes the best products. Period.
Great interview with Televes. Thanks for keeping us informed.
Always interesting things on your channel.
Tyler is a national treasure 👍
Sorry to hear about your recent troubles with RUclips Tyler, this is a thank you for you solid, unbiased advice. In this video, it was clear why Televes antennas are usually at the top of your unbiased rankings.
Like all Socialists Google will always have problems with everybody. Socialism in all of its flavors, from Communism to Fascism needs to constantly create problems that only they can fix, using your money of course... Socialist politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it everywhere, then creating a solution that has nothing to do with the problem, while thinking they're the hero instead of the pathetic thieves they actually are..
I greatly appreciate the contribution. Yes, I typically recommend Televes for the reasons mentioned in the interview. These are real technical reasons and not marketing hype the other antenna companies use.
Very glad you're there to share, Tyler! Personally I'm not at all interested in ATSC3 until (and unless) the DRM is excised lol
The one convenience of having the local channels through cable TV and now some live TV streaming services is the ability to DVR local channel content within the system. Of course, that convenience comes with a cost - retransmission fees. We rarely watch OTA these days, as content quality has dropped off from years past. Still, the long pole in the tent for us adding an OTA antenna would be also incorporating an OTA DVR.
Appreciate you taking time to do the video Tyler, very informative.👍
Great info as always. Thanks!!👍😎
Thanks Tyler! I was there in the West Hall too. Javier is great to work with and Televes has great technology too!
I like hearing ideas for people that live in townhouses and have to use indoor antennas because we can not put anything outside and can't get in the attic. I appreciate the information you provide.
Thanks from Richmond VA
The key is a decent indoor antenna and signal meter to find the best location for it. See video below: ruclips.net/video/1_Cy08x5qeY/видео.html
Thank you for your video. We have the Televes DiNova Boss and it has worked out great for our location.
Thanks Tyler for all you do, your antenna rec service helped us cut the chord. I sent you a donation to help, I wish it could be more, but finances are a bit tough.
Great Video Televes makes some wonderful products !
Thanks Tyler! Looks like you made the best of your situation there, giving us the highlights and a nice interview!
Tyler, glad you made it to the show.... Stay Safe....J
Another fine report Antenna Man. Keep up the good work.
That was a very interesting video, Tyler. I especially enjoyed the Televes interview. It's nice to talk with someone who really knows their product well, and enjoys sharing information with you, isn't it? Great job, Tyler.
Love when you go on location, Tyler. I was hoping to see you back at CES in January. I understand the difficulties you face with RUclips presently. So I will look forward to any “tech excursions” you’re able to do from this point forward. Oh, by the way, no need to worry about what’s in the background when you shoot your videos. NAB is a big deal and I kinda like seeing the activity behind you.
Excellent variety of information at the beginning and that interview was absolutely fantastic!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Tyler you are the man, that's the best and newest info anywhere!
Tyler I would to send a thank you for all you do to save people money when it comes to watching TV. Thanks again
Thank you! Great information and you have a great, professional persona! 🤠
good stuff, Tyler. I appreciate you keeping on top of the ATSC 3.0 standard. I have had a few Televes antennas and I found that they are the best, as well as is the Smartkomm and their stand alone pre-amplifiers. looking forward to more!
Really like the updates.
Thanks for watching!
Javier at Televes is awesome. Their products are top notch. The video at the NAB 2024 convention was great. Was there anything exciting at the Silicon Dust booth?
Well done and very informative. Thank you.
Great video Tyler and thank you for your content
I hope you have a good time in Vegas and have a great weekend and a good large Sunday with going up Sunday
God bless you and your family sir
God bless you
Jeremy Scruggs
Thank you for doing this.
Great video thanks for sharing Jeff in Indiana I love antennas too 50 plus years ❤
cool, thanks
Tyler, greatly appreciate your interview with the Televes Engineer. I would definitely consider a Televes OTA TV antenna next one I buy and would recommend them to others.
Nice informative video. Well done.
Another great video I've been OTA for a few years now Love my Televes Data Boss. I see the ATSC 3.0 tuner but little to no gateway products like Tablo. I know the DRM encryption is still a major problem. Hope they come up with more products along those lines
thanks for another informative video
Thanks for watching it!
Great video. We're waiting for you to hit 300K subscribers soon! And, great interview with @Televes.
Should hit it in a week or two!
Televes makes the best antenna!!! I have 2 ! Their signal capture power is unequaled!
I wouldn't say Televes antennas are hands down the best in every situation, but the will work well in a lot of them.
Based on your review we bought the Televes DiNova Boss Mix and it works without issue in picking up all of the local stations for our HTPC. We use sling tv for everything else.
Thank you. I have antenna tv. It's ok, but I should get to working on upgrading the simple things. Better wires and such. I could do it myself, only because of this channel.
Thanks for the info
Thanks!
Thanks, Tyler, for your videos
I learn a lot from you.
I like how you love what you do.
Thanks for the update.

Thanks for following me and watching this video.
Gerat coverage Tyler! Sorry to hear about the problems you're having with monetization.
Thanks! I hope it goes back to normal soon
Thanks
Cool, like the live show at Las Vegas.
Perhaps a series of videos on the different types of antennas. log periodic, yagi, figure 8, X.... How/why they work, element lengths/size, the pros and cons, and examples of each type. The real nitty-gritty technological stuff.
Unfortunately, this topic is too technical and will go over the heads of most of my viewers. Videos that are too technical in nature perform poorly so I no longer make them.
Thanks Antenna Man! I will never watch Tech Tyler. But always love to see Antenna Man cover anything antenna or tech. Maybe make a Tylers Tech playlist or sub channel?
Thanks 😊Very informative.
I know a fellow amateur radio

been at broadcast sites, like
the Empire State Building. 😊
bro wrote it in stanzas like a poem xD
Enjoyed your visit to the NAB. Yes, getting out is good once in a while. I would be interested in the roll-out of ATSC 3.0 and efforts to get rid of DRM.
The ATSC, A3SA, and large broadcast groups do not want to get rid of DRM. The only way it will go away is with an act of congress so contact your elected officials.
Thankyou
Thanks for watching!
Been waiting for this. Thanks!
I love the cellphone dongle but hopefully Samsung, Apple, etc will be able to integrate ATSC 3.0 into their new phones and tablets.
✌️😜 Actually found it very informative, even though I'm not antenna tech-savvy 😁 Thanks Brother 💒⚔️ God Bless us All 🇺🇸🙏✝️
Im able to watch the Woody woodpecker show so im happy with my TV antenna this morning.
Nice video, hope there are more videos to follow with other interesting things from the show (products or services). Any more info on ATSC 3.0 besides what you mentioned about the DVR device manufacturer being stymied by a cumbersome and costly approval process? I used to "geek out" on radio/electronics back in my younger days, recently got back into it over the last few years since I both retired and cut the cable TV cord.
Honestly, there weren't many new things beyond what I mentioned in the video. ATSC 3.0 may or may not gain traction in a year or two. The DRM issues is definitely having an impact on consumer adoption. I would be surprised if even 1% of over the air viewers use an ATSC 3.0 tuner.
Awesome interview Tyler !! Good to see company's like Televes continuing to upgrade their products . I wish Jackson,Ms would get A.T.S.C. 3.0 :(
My dad will never comprehend any of this. I'll be stuck holding the bag.
Man that's the kind of truck I've been looking for. Though I'd replace the powerplant with a magnum and add I few more upgrades and daily the heck out of her.
like to see updates on the newer atsc 3.0 tuners you showed... stavix for one
Hoping local stations go 3.0 soon, just for reception. Both TVs I own are Sony, bought within a year of each other, and both hooked to the same outdoor antenna with an amplifier. Weirdly, the Sony TV closest to the antenna (and the more recent and expensive TV) is only getting 19 channels. The around a year older Sony in the back of the house, still wired to the same antenna, is getting 31 channels. Tried removing the amplifier from the closest TV, it showed 0 channels after the scan.
Depending on what band is used, the 5G TV may be quite useful in otherwise poor TV coverage areas.
The thing is, ALL TV antenna reception is line of sight only. there is no such thing as a 50 or 100 mile antenna --- unless eithor you or the antenna (or both) are on a high mountain. In urban areas, 25 miles is about the most you are going to get with a high rooftop antenna. In the South Bay San Diego area, the local TV broadcast antennas are fairly high up, so I get the three local nearby stations with about 8 channels ... now the content is abysmal, but its still free :)>
It looks like YT has the advertising algorithm pegged for this YT channel, as a YT Ad, at 1 minute 54 seconds length, about Range Xpert brand of antenna was the lead-in spot for this video post. It even included a website link for antenna purchase, which I won't repeat here.
I skipped that Ad spot after 5 seconds.
RUclips still lets me integrate ads in the video but crippled the revenue by about 70%
Hi. I installed a new digital converter about a month ago. A ematic model AT103B. My old one that gave out after 3 years and 8 months was a AT103C. The manual for the 103B is 6 pages less, and no toll free phone number listed anymore. Well, can you tell me if I can change the scheduled TV shows from military (24hr) time, to the regular AM, PM time ? It seems to work the same, but no AM, PM shows up. Thank you.
Hey Tyler, just curious if you will be at the Reno convention this year for the National Translator Association convention in may? I’ll be there I love to visit with you as there doesn’t seem to be too many young guys in the field, and I’m currently training and apprenticing to take over the tower maintenance job for our county.
Yes, I will be one of the keynote speakers there.
@@AntennaMan Awesome, I look forward to seeing it. What day is your session?
Interesting! I hadn't really considered a professional antenna installer as possibly being "required" or the default option anywhere. Maybe being a Ham makes me underestimate the complexity. We put up lots of antennas. 😂
Yes, most of the world has antenna installers in all areas to provide the option of free over the air TV for people in a home. In the US, people sort of just set up things on their own and fail horribly unless they are in a strong signal area.
@@AntennaMan For us Hams half the fun is designing, building , and installing the antenna/feed lines. We often have tower raising parties. It's even a sport we do at least once a year on field day with rapid deployments in the "field".
What is needed is a GMRS filter
Just wondering if you plan to review the Zinwell ATSC 3.0 box.
At some point. RUclips partially demonetized my channel so until that gets fixed I won't be posting as many videos.
@@AntennaMan Man that sucks brother!!
@@AntennaManI have the Zinwell. Its biggest disadvantage is there is no way to attach a hard drive to it to use as a DVR. It also isn't wireless like the Homerun HD 4k.
When will TV makers start putting ATSC 3.0 in all TV's??
The 5G Broadcast Collective is way more interesting than ATSC 3.0, and potentially a better long-term use of spectrum. Looking forward to hearing more about that in the future!
Yes, I found the 5G Broadcast Collective very interesting. I would rather have their "standard" take off than the anti-consumer ATSC 3.0 standard full of DRM.
I can hardly wait until we need to line up at some former sat hackers place of business to get the latest fix for our TV antennas being down.
NGL The 5G OTA TV I lowkey like that idea. I feel like it might be a counter to the ATSC 3.0 BS we are dealing with. I am still excited for ATSC 3.0 because it's really cool I just hate that it might be DOA because of stupid DRM. Just let me watch my TV and have the ability to record.
Where did you get the image of the Silicon Dust not being capable of decoding drm? I went to their website and cannot find that information anywhere.
I added the DRM part in the video. It's true the HDHomerun isn't certified to decode DRM and might never be
What about the WaveMax antenna especially in rural areas?
Junk. Steer clear of genetic antennas from brands you're not familiar with.
Mines an old Radio shack amplifier, but it works. Whereas it doesn't capture signal over the distance of the cable line up to the antenna w/o it. I still work and pay for Internet, so it's a moot point. That's always a conundrum to me.
just got an channel master mini 8 and am surprised because even pulled 2 cable channels that no idea how came from my rooftop antenna and is not on air those channels at all, althought is not crystal clear but i am surprised by the quality of channel master products, first time i have an product of thems and i am impressed
When you say cable channels which ones? Some cable channels like qvc, cozi, h and I, ion, movies!, laff, metv, etc are broadcast on digital sub channels on ota as well
@@njlauren no bbc world news and other but analogue one, that is not an channel that be over the air, happens that i am in Chile and well am rebuilding my rooftop antenna and entire home set up since an experimenting problems of reception and plan on November cut the cord since mainly watch over the air channels and am taking time to do the rebuilt and been more hard rebuild a set up than make it again from scratch since now have buildings almost in front of where was the antenna am having troubles with reception
Will we have to rescan for channels when MeTV Toons arrives?
Possibly not. Most newer TVs will automatically add a new subchannel as long as you tune to the .1 base channel.
One issue that concerns me about amplified antennas is what happens if the amp goes out. Antenna amplifiers are subject to electrical build up especially in the summer months during thunderstorms.
All of the amplifiers built into the Televes antennas have powerless pass through meaning if the amplifier loses power it will simply pass the signals through the coax like a standard passive antenna.
Was there any news about DRM at the Conference?
No, this is a trade show with mostly vendors, not individuals behind DRM.
I want to see you do an install, or service call(assuming you still do that).
I don't do that anymore. It's all RUclips now.
A few takeaways: Why aren't we releasing more atsc 3.0 boxes as many are on display and seem to work well as my ADTH does?
The televes interview was definitely good content as the representative answered questions in a clear informative manner and definitely stood my the products.
There aren't more 3.0 boxes on display because of the red tape and expense to get a given unit certified to decode DRM. It costs hundreds of thousands of dollars which is not feasible for many companies.
Did Tablo have a booth still waiting for 3.0 tuner from them
No, Tablo was not there. They are not working on a 3.0 tuner at this time because of the issues with DRM but they don't need to, we are still in the very early stages of ATSC 3.0. There aren't many reasons to switch to it. Most of the interactive features mentioned in this video can be achieved simply by downloading a TV station's app on a Roku.
My local news station just currently switched to nextgenTV. I fortunately have LG OLED smart 4K TV so got app but it's asking for (Your Service ID) what is this? Until I have can't use and it's supposed to be FREE!! Help
Recently I have seen commercials for a new indoor antenna called Wave Max. It looks like the same fake antenna as many other cheap ones that they've marketed in the past with the traditional HD antenna hype. Have you any experience with this antenna?
It's junk. Stick with a reputable US based antenna company.
I hope that version two of their combiner has a Wifi connection instead of just Bluetooth.
Any idea when next gen 3.0 is coming to Cleveland??
Probably not for several years if ever. ATSC 3.0 isn't exactly taking off the way the industry expected and honestly might flop like HDRadio.
Wow! I find it amazing that Brazil, which was a launch country in Latin America for the ISDB-T DTV OTA standard from Japan, is now moving towards ATSC 3.0. What's going on?
where did you got such info?, as long as i know they in brazil are reviewing the new ISDB-t advance standard already before deployment, if Brazil will ditch ISDB-T would drag other countries of the region where just switched to ISDB and the complains of people is being louder, can tell the experience we are having with ISDB-T bad implemented in Chile where i live
@@megacap55Watch 4:10.
@@robertogalvez3865 i did but one question, why Brazil always want to modify standards for AVOID PAY ROYALTIES OF CODECS or technologies? if TV channels aren't poor and they does great money by advertising? i find absurd modify everything and that the ATSC group allows that modifications, wanting to also that the whole south America region depends on Brazil industry with those mods, i find an abuse of dominant position also that , the TV channels now earn money releasing streaming services or already services release their famous tv shows too, i find already absurd that with the alibi of town small channels try to seek economies to avoid pay the right for use an technology
perhaps are having troubles by licenses since doesn't like to pay the royalties for use technologies as they in the whole south America does doesn't like to pay by royalties for technologies used
I love what they are doing with the technology, but it is incredibly difficult to be excited for ATSC 3.0 until they stop forcing DRM on it
