Some time in the early 70s my older brother bought a box of 8-tracks from a guy he worked with, when I was about 14. There was one from a group called Frijid Pink. The only song I recognized was a song with the same name as an Animals song so I thought I would give it a try. To this day it's, to me, the very best version and is on my play list on my phone.

Music was about passion back then instead of the money and the popularity. I, myself also get a warm feeling when I watch kids in their teens/twenties experience what we've experienced. Ebenezer is THE BEST name in the world!...but I digress... I also have just stumbled over this version recently and have fallen in love (tho feel like I'm betraying the Animals) FP has such a raw and aching sound in voice and guitar. Still love the Animals no doubt, but the FP version hurts my gut and makes me cry.
