fantastic debut album for a fantastic group!!!!! these hard rockers do a great House of the rising sun - there are guitar solos on all tracks.......issued in USA on Parrot and in UK on Deram in a far superior laminated cover!!!!! AAAAAAAAA+++++++++++++++++
The very best version of House of the Rising Sun!
Это не так самая лучшая у группы GEORIE ,,в исполнении Браина Джонсона
To this day Frijid Pink The House of the Rising Sun is still the best of bests.
R.I.P Tom Beaudry (A.K.A Kelly Green), lead singer for Detroit hard rockers Frijid Pink, talk about a lotta soul for a rock singer.
A nice slice of Detroit style rock n roll. Factoid: Led Zeppelin opened up for them at the Grande Ballroom in Detroit.
Wow
Very cool !✌&🧡 from Detroit.
that would have been insane great underrated band & i remember the Deram label, their cover of House of The rising sun a real gem
@@peterchrisp9003
Take sound Trac and remove voal Trac replaced with Eric Burdan singing. Mind blowing!!
I saw Frijjid pink at Ford woods ice rink. At 12 yo
Saw these guys live in the spring of 1970, performing on a raft in the middle of a small lake. They did a great show.

I had this cassette as a teenager. Driving Blues & Boozin Blues are my favourites & brought back memories.
RIP Tom. You were truly great. Should have had a much longer and successful career.
As good as it gets....Will never get old...
Bought this on 8- track in 1980,I was 18, was so blown away I moved it to cassettes til the early 2000s,it never gets old
You brought me to Selvesters barn in east Bethel and I bought the 8 track, it was melted cause they sold fire damaged goods, however it still worked. Ha
Oh yeah
I bought this LP today.
Very good choice, greetings from Athens
I bought this album in Sweden around 1972. I was 14 y.o and I loved it...
Damn good lp. Bought it when it came out.. Also have Defrosted and Earth Omen. Those were the days
Just rebuilt this 8 track and it's awesome. My dad's tapes just keep on giving.
exellent band, high class musicians!
Brilliant album. Unbeatable start with 'God Gave Me You' and superb ending with 'Boozin' Blues'. I also want to highlight 'I Want to Be Your Lover'. Love it.
killer album "crying shame" they were not huge
I was born then and just finally got introduced to them when I heard then on public radio, playing THE HOUSE OF THE RISING SUN RENDITION. THEY AR FANTASTIC MY NEW FAVORITE ROCK BLUES. EXCELLENT ALBUM.
Bought this album 20 years ago at a church fete for AUD 2.00 - then went out and tracked down all I could find...
House Of The Rising Sun. Sin Desperdicio. TBD I HAD. Gracias.
Great cover of “The House of the Riding Sun”. I really found this beautiful and operatic. Made a great chickpea curry on a -37 frigid setting pink sky sun end of day . . . listening to it now.👌❄️☃️🦌🌹. Thanks
unsung heroes of the past rockers
I heard of this band back in 1970 when I was 12. Then I forgot all about them. But then I heard them on satellite tonight...wow...what a band. Why aren't they ever talked about?
Still have my lp
Just heard of them 2 minutes ago. What a great band. Gotta find this on vinyl.
Find on Ebay used for 20€ or new for 40€. I just had a look for it.
Almost forgotten but still stuck my Head since 1967
this was released in 1970
What an incredible album!! I have their brilliant rendition of Eric Burdon's House Of The Rising Sun in my collection of 45's.... Happiness Happening at 69!!!!😀🎧😃
It was not Eric's song. It was written in 1941 by Georgia Turner
@@curt05311 Thank you so much for correcting me!!🎵✨️🎶
@@curt05311 Whilst the origins of the song are shrouded in some mystery, many (ncluding Dylan) had already covered it by the time Burdon’s band, The Animals, had an absolutely huge hit with it.
@@vampyros1 Yes I remember when it came out. Saw Eric twice. The last time was in the early 90's when he played here at a local fair. It cost 5 bucks to get in the fair, and you saw Eric Burdon and the New Animals for free. Not a bad deal. Saw Flo and Eddy there the next year for the same price. Had Frijid Pink on 8 track back in the day. So much great music back then.
@@curtzeek8818 Oh, you’re right - SO much fantastic, creative music from that era… I’m still able to deep dive and find great stuff from then that I hadn’t heard before. I love The Animals, they were incredible. We’re lucky to have cut our teeth during the most musically fertile time ever.
Wonderful
I can't believe I finally found this album. I saw that not very many sold. I was 12 years old and bought it.
This lp sold over a million copies back in 1970, when selling a million meant something
I usually hate this kind of stuff but I quite like this. Thank you random RUclips algorithm!
Beautiful sound !
It's 🐝 a loooooong time since I rock and rolled! Someone had stolen all my albums... I had so many.frigid pink, I had found at a record store. it was always one of my favorites thank you
That city gave us MC5,
The Amboy Dukes which
featured a young Ted
Nugent.I didn't forget
Frijid Pink.
Toney T. Isaiah.
can't forget Grand Funk Railroad
Grand Funk was from Flint, Michigan

Thanks Thebestdream, for sharing this album. I missed this one somehow. Worth hearing and I'm glad you gave me the opportunity. Like 175. /:-)
amazing band !
Detroit is more than
just the sound of Motown.
Toney T. Isaiah.
MC5
Their version of House of The Rising Sun mops the floor with The Animals' version!
Found this in a used record store in Las Vegas in 1982 and knew this had to be special, fantastic music and cover.
Let's not forget Mitch Ryder, also from Michigan. This album of Frijid Pink I have it on cd only. I'd bought back in 2003 maybe ? It was a reissue with some extras too. I still have it.
Lyrics say a lot today as eternal warriors they are, You brought me to Selvesters barn in east Bethel and I bought the 8 track, it was melted cause they sold fire damaged goods, however it still worked. Ha. You have to listen to the whole album, the lyrics are ahead of time, the lead guitar is ahead. They said no to booze and drugs, lyrics are revealing and the Music is exealant yaa blues
Quite possibly the most underrated rock singer (male) of all time.
And most underrated band ever
Thanks for finding this, great stuff xx
Good stuff comes out of Detroit at times,I know I use to live there!!!!
Yaaaaaaaay!!!!!!!!!! Thanks!
Rosa frígido, ya mas imposible,!!!!!!!!! Este vinilo sobre todo imposible d conseguir, saludos bestdreamers!!!!!!
excelente banda - me gusta un mundo
Great album, doesn't get nearly as much attention as it deserves
I have a wonderful Israel print of this vinyl that I found in a local shop for $5. They thought the Hebrew writing on the front was a sticker and priced it low .
Только послушал Джорди 1974, два дома на не досегаимой вершине!
Puré lo veo, so cool forma Venezuela
I'll be rich enough to afford this cut one day!
Dude the guitarist in my band found one at a garage sale, the lucky bastard, probably was really cheap too
I think I paid 14 bucks for my copy on eBay last year.
I bought this album new in 1970 for $3.49 and I still play it !
SORRY FOR THE CAPS LOCK THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST UNDERATED BANDS EVER 111111111111
The sound of Downriver
TRES Cool/Heavy=Detroit Blues Rock!!
Another Band from Detroit,
Michigan.Toney Tillery
Isaiah.
OK goin wayyy back in the wayback machine. My mom used to take me to a hippie market in Birmingham, Mi. Suburb outside of Detroit. I think it was in an old Packard dealership, it had giant arched windows and a big showroom. The place was packed with exotic stuff, there was incense and pachinko machines and tye dye and rock bands like MC5, Frigid Pink, Amboys, Rusty Day and the Knights, Bob, others played there every day. It got busted.
Rationals.
Bob Seger System 2+2=?
Cactus No Restrictions
Love it! We live in Birmingham. Been in the area since ‘71. I don’t recall this place but thinking it was before my time? Strangely, Drew Abbott ...Seger’s old guitarist, is our Nextdoor neighbor now :)
Growing up my older brother had this album. At that time I thought FP was the original version of House of the Rising Sun. To this day I still compare all others to this album. Many people did it well, this is still the best version though. IMHO.
Those would be my exact words! Thanks brother,!
Agreee that this IS the best version.Still playing this album that I got many years ago...1970
Я в восторге!
You post this great album right after California legalized pot...coincidence? I think not! Thanks so much
This band is so damn good. We just returned from Detroit Historical Museum where FP was featured. We were curious so we listened to them (via your page-thanks!). What a JAM. Reminds me of Detroit’s Satin Peaches! Anyway....wondering whatever happened to the members. Does anyone know? Love FRIGID PINK!!!!
How neat. I'm going to mention that to dad 😉 Tom Beaudry "Kelly"
@@nilybe83 Damn, I realize he was still alive when you posted this. Tom Beaudry RIP...he did Detroit proud!
Have this on vinyl. Prized possession
I have a mint copy on Vinyl, hard to find album. I paid $15 for it.
Let's not forget The Stooges! Toney T. Isaiah.
If only this man's drums were mic'd up good. He plays the shit out of them, I feel it could have added so much, made it so much more if it just had that thick heavy drum sound throughout the songs
22:02 🏠☀️🆙
A második albumuk még ennél is jobb. Az Europarkban vettem 1998ban
There were a lot of wannabee american bands in the era of physedelic high on narcotics.Only a few of them were worth in a aftermath fame .Thats the fact.
We started this shit, get your facts straight.
Детройт РОК СИТИ !!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
singer sounds like early coverdale
Yes, good call!
O vocal parece o do cactus
Ничего шедеврального в музыке Frijid Pink я не обнаружил . Обычная группа , довольно среднего уровня , каких в США тысячи .
Discazo
зафузованная гитара ЕЕЕЕЕЕЕ!!!!
I thought this would be more psychedelic, it's kinda just blues lol
Terrible
😒
Ok troll, lol
I always thought FP was a one hit wonder. It wasn't until the late70s I found out they actually released a few LPs. I always was curious about what their other material sounded like. Never got that chance until today. In 1970 Eric Burdon and war got really psychedelic with Spill The Wine. FPs rendition of House of the Rising Sun also 1970 must have blown Eric Burdon away.. I know the fuzz blew me away. FP made it their own. A tribute to pschedelia.
Amazing band, amazing guitar solo. Sadly whole epoch had gone...
Fantastic find 😎
