This really helps me! I don't have many expensive brushes, but I LOVE brushes and I have a lot of inexpensive brushes. Now I can move on to buying the expensive brushes that are worth the money and really work.

OK, I now own a pile of Hakuhodo, Wayne Goss Aniversary II set, some Sonia G brushes and a set of ordered bespoke Rephr brushes. But I am going to order SG Face Pro when available!! I have small deepset hooded eyes, but SG Worker Pro can do it all in one brush
I'm always trying to get the perfect blend of concealer under my lids. 😂😂😂 jk jk but i love your little slips. They're so fun and funny and give such a bright shine of your personality! I love hearing about your brushes.
Sigma brushes work really well. They probably once a month offer some type of brush set sale. I've gotten the premium brush set 4x's and have paid around $85 for a 15 piece brush set. I also do bridal makeup, so that's why I have so many. Elf, the black handles are good starter brushes. The white handle one's are crap. You can find them almost anywhere. I don't suggest Morphe because they fray and fall apart. Between me and my 5 makeup artist friends, we've all tossed our morphe brushes
I actually like some of BH Cosmetics brushes better than Sigma. Sigma is good, but def overhyped cause all these RUclipsrs have “favorites” brush sets that they promote & profit from. And almost every RUclipsr has affiliate codes & discount codes where the make $$ if u use them

I like having good tools. Sure you could use a high heel shoe to nail something but why not use a hammer. I love my brushes, fast, fluffy and fabulous.
Alicia, I had to have that GSN-2 once you said that.. You told me that ski set was all that and more and I loved it so much I had to buy another set in case any happens to my first set!! I don't know if this would be something you'd be interested in, or maybe it would be easier to just explain rather than make an entire video for it, but could you do a video on your cleaning routine for natural hair brushes? I really need to research it more, but I'm so scared of ruining my brushes because I used the wrong thing to clean them with.

Great video! Good to hear why these brushes work so well. Funny note, back in the day (80’s and earlier), we make up types ALWAYS had a lip brush for precisely applying our lipsticks. Prior to lip pencils becoming must haves, lip brushes were necessary. I had one on my dresser and a covered one in my 👜. This was long ago when Maybelline eyebrow pencils were the best! 😝 (And when there were basically two eye brushes. One sort of large one shaped like the current shader and a smaller one with an angled end. But mostly we used those little foam applicators... yikes!)

Nice info. TY! I had a similar experience w/ the Wayne brushes. Really my 1st nice brushes. I was shocked when my shadow blended so easily & perfect. Hooked. I need to use that Sonia G face brush more. Just haven't gotten used to it & don't think to grab it when I'm in a hurry.

Would you consider doing a favourite brushes from Sonia G only? There's just so so many that she has now and they all seem so different. Isn't the Worker Pro and Wayne Goss 18 similar just like the Mac 217?
What brush cleaner do you use for these beauties? Also I bought some grey towels just to use for makeup so they don’t stain. Love to see more top 5 videos!
Black microfiber towels are better. You can use a spray bottle with 91% alcohol, spray the brushes, rub them on the towel, and you have clean brushes without the long wash and wait to dry process. Doesn't work with foundation in a brush. You still have to wash those
angyeliz I use Aveda’s Shampure Hand & Body Wash to clean brushes (which I do weekly). It cleans better than BeautyBlender’s solid and liquid cleanser, Japonesque’s solid cleanser, and Sephora Collection’s solid cleanser. I would not recommend professional high-alcohol cleansers on natural hair brushes, particularly Japanese natural hair brushes - the alcohol is too drying.
I use my Wayne 16 for setting my under eye and fine lines around my mouth and nose. I wipe it off and use it to apply my highlight. It's a little too big to do my crease on my small hooded eyes. I stan a multiuse brush! When I pack for travel and I'm only taking a few brushes: Real Techniques expert face brush for applying foundation, Goat hair fanbrush for applying brush/bronzer/contour/highlight, Wayne Goss 17 for my crease, Rephyr 3 for doing liner/outer V and Sonia G, smudger #2 for doing inner corner highlight, lower lash line, and applying difficult shimmers.
Yes Alicia I love all these brushes 😍 I’ve multiples of the Rephr 15(07A) and 01(S01) brushes, I reach for them daily even over my Sonia G 🙊 brushes sometimes, they are just phenomenal! I could listen to you all day talk about anything quite frankly lol so just keep those videos long honey I love them and you 😘 xxx

You gotta try Hakuhodo J531... It's my original brush in that shape and I love it just a little bit more than my Sonia G Face Pro brush jejejeje But the more the merrier! I buy brushes every few months when I can and I still have a long list;p

Angel M I don't have any Morphe brushes, but the Sigma E56 does a wonderful job picking up shimmers and metallics that no other brush can touch. Amazing how some brushes have no dupe.
GretchenVaughn omg I have the e56 and it was #1 for picking up shimmers that just don’t wanna cooperate. Then I tried the Jaclyn eye brushes and the jh41 blew me away because I had never tried morphed and didn’t trust JH. It really is a great brush but I know what you mean for the e56 not being dupe-able I have never tried anything with the same shape 😀

I agree that Sonia G Face Pro brush makes me want to dance everytime I use it on a client. I have alot of Hakuhodos but not that one. The pricepoint on the J559 is only $17 which is a steal. Now I need 6 of them. I have some Repr brushes which I love. Hey you can't have too many brushes-right
I am with you on paying for the cost of craftsmanship! Though I do not use the brush brands you are using (I use Sigma) I can relate because I have a Mason Pearson comb that I’ve had for many years and paid a high price for it but it was worth every penny. Gotta pay for good quality!
Alicia.....this video is so helpful. I had purchase so many brushes looking for the ones I like and after many fails I really only use five or six. Hate to say it but most brushes are a failure. For me..... Kat Von D, Wayne Goss, Hakuhodo and Tom Ford are the best. I don´t own any Sonia G., but I will look into them. I hate to waste so much $$$. I layer them satin mattes, and apply her glitzy shades over her mesmerize pots! It’s definitely a softer look, but it takes me through a decent amount of the day.
Yep, it's the tools, man, it's the TOOLS! I agree with your picks, out of the brushes that I also personally have. I love the Sonia G Face Pro, and man is that Builder Pro good for flipping sideways, and bringing the crease color up onto a hooded lid! I also agree about Wayne Goss' #16; it is so awesome for blending out a transition shade, especially for big eyes, and it just does all of the work for you! I have to get that Hakuhodo J5529...You have me salivating over here! LOL! Up until now, I've been using the Sonia G Worker Pro or Pencil Pro on my lower lash line. I'm sure that I've got a Sigma or R&L brush in a similar shape, but since I've gotten my Sonia G and Wayne Goss brushes, those are just the brushes that I pull into my working space...And man I mean to tell you; I have me some brushes! I can't wait to get my Rephr brushes; I feel like a kid waiting on Christmas to get here! Thank for reminding me, Aliiicia! 😜

angyeliz I use Aveda’s Shampure Hand & Body Wash to clean brushes (which I do weekly). It cleans better than BeautyBlender’s solid and liquid cleanser, Japonesque’s solid cleanser, and Sephora Collection’s solid cleanser. I would not recommend professional high-alcohol cleansers on natural hair brushes, particularly Japanese natural hair brushes - the alcohol is too drying.
I use my Wayne 16 for setting my under eye and fine lines around my mouth and nose. I wipe it off and use it to apply my highlight. It's a little too big to do my crease on my small hooded eyes. I stan a multiuse brush! When I pack for travel and I'm only taking a few brushes: Real Techniques expert face brush for applying foundation, Goat hair fanbrush for applying brush/bronzer/contour/highlight, Wayne Goss 17 for my crease, Rephyr 3 for doing liner/outer V and Sonia G, smudger #2 for doing inner corner highlight, lower lash line, and applying difficult shimmers.

Yes Alicia I love all these brushes 😍 I’ve multiples of the Rephr 15(07A) and 01(S01) brushes, I reach for them daily even over my Sonia G 🙊 brushes sometimes, they are just phenomenal! I could listen to you all day talk about anything quite frankly lol so just keep those videos long honey I love them and you 😘 xxx

Angel M I don't have any Morphe brushes, but the Sigma E56 does a wonderful job picking up shimmers and metallics that no other brush can touch. Amazing how some brushes have no dupe.
GretchenVaughn omg I have the e56 and it was #1 for picking up shimmers that just don’t wanna cooperate. Then I tried the Jaclyn eye brushes and the jh41 blew me away because I had never tried morphed and didn’t trust JH. It really is a great brush but I know what you mean for the e56 not being dupe-able I have never tried anything with the same shape 😀

I agree that Sonia G Face Pro brush makes me want to dance everytime I use it on a client. I have alot of Hakuhodos but not that one. The pricepoint on the J559 is only $17 which is a steal. Now I need 6 of them. I have some Repr brushes which I love. Hey you can't have too many brushes-right

I am with you on paying for the cost of craftsmanship! Though I do not use the brush brands you are using (I use Sigma) I can relate because I have a Mason Pearson comb that I’ve had for many years and paid a high price for it but it was worth every penny. Gotta pay for good quality!
Alicia.....this video is so helpful. I had purchase so many brushes looking for the ones I like and after many fails I really only use five or six. Hate to say it but most brushes are a failure. For me..... Kat Von D, Wayne Goss, Hakuhodo and Tom Ford are the best.

I layer them satin mattes, and apply her glitzy shades over her mesmerize pots! It’s definitely a softer look, but it takes me through a decent amount of the day.

Yep, it's the tools, man, it's the TOOLS! I agree with your picks, out of the brushes that I also personally have. I love the Sonia G Face Pro, and man is that Builder Pro good for flipping sideways, and bringing the crease color up onto a hooded lid! I also agree about Wayne Goss' #16; it is so awesome for blending out a transition shade, especially for big eyes, and it just does all of the work for you! I have to get that Hakuhodo J5529...You have me salivating over here! LOL! Up until now, I've been using the Sonia G Worker Pro or Pencil Pro on my lower lash line. I'm sure that I've got a Sigma or R&L brush in a similar shape, but since I've gotten my Sonia G and Wayne Goss brushes, those are just the brushes that I pull into my working space...And man I mean to tell you; I have me some brushes! I can't wait to get my Rephr brushes; I feel like a kid waiting on Christmas to get here! Thank for reminding me, Aliiicia! 😜
