Wait, what?!! Brushes aren't a popular topic for your subscribers??? Brush videos don't get many views??? 😲 I am speechless, astounded, flabberghasted! Brushes are my favourite thing to invest in, to learn about, to save up for and to watch content about so if you enjoy making videos about brushes, Charlotte, you go right on and make videos about them because I will watch every single one with just as much pleasure and interest as you! The right brushes really can transform what seems like a mediocre or even disappointing product into something that works completely differently. I have had many a hopeless product saved from going in the bin (trash) by a great brush. Seriously, if I could only invest in either my makeup products or my brushes, I would go for brushes every time. Oh and Sonia G really does make fabulous quality, creative, exciting brushes...in my opinion. 😉 Moreover, she seems like the loveliest person. ❤
A few days late, but I'm here 😊. Never wanted to see a brush video, don't own a single SoniaG brush, but I watch you anyway, Charlotte 🤷♀️. Have a great day 😘, Sabine
I prefer seeing dirty brushes (and palettes!) It shows how much you use and love it! I’m so glad you did this video. I will watch it at least 10 times in case there are people who don’t click. They don’t know what they’re missing, poor things. I will not have this video disparaged in the year I’m wrap up! Not on my watch! I just got the Sheet Buffer. I have washed it and it’s drying. Now I’m more excited than ever!! My number 1 Sonia G brush is the Soft Cheek from the Sky set. It’s my perfect blush brush.
I’ve never heard anyone explain brushes in such detail and of the wonders they can perform. I need to invest in a few of these. Thanks so much Charlotte!
I just recently bought a few Sonia G brushes and they are a GAME CHANGER! If I could go back and do it all over, they are the only brushes I would buy and use. Thanks for this video it’s super helpful in which ones to get next.
My fave is the worker fan. I’m a convert to that shape for bronzer and contour. I used to think expensive brushes were for makeup artists but now realise it’s the amateurs who need them - professionals could use any brush! xx
Thank you, Charlotte!!! 🤗 I have been looking for an overall top Sonia G recommendations video on RUclips forever and this is just what I needed. I’m new to Sonia G and Fude in general so having your advice is so helpful especially for those of us who may be on a tight budget and can’t always buy the entire sets ❤️
Thank you for this video. It is much appreciated. I have 3 sheer buffers. One for cream or powder bronzer, one for cream or powder blush and one I haven't decided yet. I have synthetic stippling brushes but the Sonja G beats anything remotely similar. It is a perfect brush. I love her brushes.
I’ve never had success with liquid/cream face brushes either, but I used the new Sonia G. Sheer Buffer today with my Chantecaille Future Skin foundation and was very satisfied. The Face II, now the Soft Buffer, is my preferred blush brush since I tend to get patchy no matter what I do. I now have three of them. Favorite bronzing is the Niji Pro and favorite finisher is her Keyaki Buffer.
I LOVE YOUR BRUSH VIDEOS!!! You and Alicia Archer are the two I have relied on to build my brush collection. I adore them enough for an extra 2000 views! Hear that RUclips? Lol
As one of your line supervisors (lol!), I was very happy to see this video! I will refer to it often and use your links when i buy my next Sonia G brushes. Thank you!
I completely agree with you the smooth buffer . I also did not know I needed this. Also never knew that this is what people did. And now I use it every day. It blends everything together so nicely and if I put too much of something on, it fixes it!
Alicia Archer also does a great job with these. Thank goodness for Charlotte, Alicia and Michelle! So detailed in the explanations! Thank you, Charlotte!!!
Best video ever! I love Sonia G brushes and Fude brushes in general. The smooth buffer melts everything so nicely together, especially when used with a small amount of hourglass powder. Thanks for the video. Looking forward to more brush videos, thanks for sharing!
I love makeup brush video, esp Sonia G brushes. Also, Rephr or Wayne Goss or even just in general brush on Beautylish. Thank u Charlotte for Making this video!!! 🩵💯🫶
I LOVE the jumbo base brush, I like it more than the Bk 101. I didn't like the lotus base as much, so I sold it. I also use the detail pro for undereye setting. I use the face pro more for dusting off powder, and the jumbo more for bronzing. The fan pro is also my highlighter go-to. I love the cheek pro for blush and the buffer (I have the one with the red handle). If you go overboard with blusher, you can use the buffer with powder to tone it down. I did love the jumbo concealer until I replaced it with the BK A506 cat paw concealer brush. I much prefer that. I do still use the jumbo concealer to apply colour corrector
I so appreciated this video. I'm considering investing in some Sonia G brushes and your description and detail of each brush is so clear and filled with genuine passion, I will be adding to cart soon :) Thanks for your great work.
Thank you for this video!! Have been waiting for it. Trust me, you may not have many views at the moment. But people to come back to it to do their research. And people who understand that tools at more important then the makeup will value this ten folds. Much love ❤
I’ve never purchased or received a Sonia G brush, although I have heard of the brand. If I were to choose, though, I think I’d get the first high/low bristle brush you showed, the fan brush, and the eye builder brush.
Thank you so much for this video, lovely Charlotte❤ I have tried a few eyeshadow brushes from Sonia G but since my preference is Rephr, I have decluttered them. Eventhough the face brushes from Sonia G are dauntingly expensive, I am going to buy a few of them one of these days because they are so highly spoken!
I love watching makeup brush reviews so it’s very much appreciated haven’t got any of Sonia g brushes they look amazing I only use synthetic brushes Scott barnes brushes is my favourite
Charlotte!!! I got my Pat McGrath XI yesterday because of you!! I guess I have to swatch it myself, because no one has posted any videos yet! Normally I watch videos to see whether to keep or gift things.
Yessss thank you for doing a video on this!! If ever you want to do a video on brushes again… 😆 could you please share something like your top 5 brushes for cream products, and top 5 for powder products? From any brand :) Or a side-by-side showdown of how different brushes compare when applying the same product 😃
This video was super helpful! I’ve had my eye on her brushes forever, but the sheer amount of variety plus price point has kept me at bay, because I couldn’t- well, shouldn’t - buy all of them. Now I have a more target goal in mind. Thank you so much!
Hi from France Charlotte 😊 thanks for your review and congratulations to have chose 12 brushes, I can't😅 my favorite is the sheer buffer it's so much innovative and I use products that I didn't use. Sonia is a génius, a great creator and an extraordinary woman Who works very hardly for give us thé Best of brushes. Thanks Charlotte (and sorry for my english😉). Bisous 😘😘
@@CharlotteHoldcroft it's right "ma belle"😉😊 it really changes the way we makeup and that you talk about the smooth buffer is really exact : I didn't know the word "BUFFER" , we must use this smooth buffer to understand What it brings
The detail pro and face Pro are my go to favourites and use them in same way you do. On my wish list is her latest brush and usually I wait until October when they have promo on but then invariably of stock 😕 anyways, I bought the smooth buffer, I like it but still on the lookout for I suppose I type of kabuki Sonia g for my mineral powder foundations, something a bit more dense? The search continues....
I have so many favourite SG brushes as well! Many of yours are my favs as well. All of the fusion series are amazing and so versatile. Most fav is the new sheer buffer for sure!
I just happened to look at my phone when this popped up. I have been waiting for a video like this for months. Not sure why a make up brush video doesn’t get good views..they are my favourite and why like Alicia so much. Thank u for this Charlotte. It’s def one I’ve been interested in having a large brush collection. I think it is the one thing ppl should invest in if they are make up lovers
Undyed goat hair brushes (so the white ones) can be used with creams or liquids. The dyed hairs are only supposed to be used with powders. The other factor to consider is whether the brush is substantial enough to withstand the weight of any liquids or whether it is too wispy, so some undyed face brushes may be too weak/wispy to use with anything but powder. Otherwise, there is a fusion series that combines synthetic hairs with natural hairs, and the addition of synthetic hairs makes those brushes specifically ideal for liquids and creams
Maybe you could do an affordable comparisons to high end on brushes if you do happen to use any that are a little less pricey. I absolutely love your videos
For eyes I have the sky eye set and holiday trio and for face I have buffer pro and detail pro. I love all of them and I plan to buy more. 😍 For blush I have 2 Surratt brushes. Hi Charlotte! Thanks for the video! I just received my Sonia g order yesterday and can’t wait to use them! Do you think the fan pro would work well with the westman atelier super loaded tinted highlight cream?
The best brush for the super loaded in my opinion - especially if you wear them as glowy blushes/bronzers is the Lotus cheek. I'm pretty sure the fan pro will work great too. In general I find that the formula looks the best when it is applied with soft (saikoho level) undyed goat.

Thank you so much for doing this video, Charlotte! ❤❤❤ I don’t know which is my favorite-maybe I’d put the Jumbo Base there. It’s hard to decide since they each do different things. I bought the Lotus set on your recommendation awhile back. I love all those brushes!! I’m like you and want that smaller detailed brush for my cheeks. I’ve not used my newest one yet-the sheer buffer. I’ve added several to my cart so hopefully you can recoup some 💵. I love Sonia’s brushes!!! ❤❤❤❤❤

1000% AGREE
100% agree! I’m terrible at applying blush but this brush just does it for me ❤
I have a brush just like that from Bare Minerals (about 6 years ago) and it is fantastic, especially for powder to crème foundations.

Your recommendation for eye makeup is not very helpful because you chose 3 brushes and 2 of them are no longer available on the website.
Thanks for sharing!😊
Hi Charlotte! Thanks for the video! I just received my Sonia g order yesterday and can’t wait to use them! Do you think the fan pro would work well with the westman atelier super loaded tinted highlight cream?
The best brush for the super loaded in my opinion - especially if you wear them as glowy blushes/bronzers is the Lotus cheek. I'm pretty sure the fan pro will work great too. In general I find that the formula looks the best when it is applied with soft (saikoho level) undyed goat.
once you’ve used the new Worker L, can you please compare this to your detail pro?
I can!
Yes please!
