You always make me laugh! You are the smartest, most entertaining influencer on YT, you should have millions of followers. Seriously, not a joke!! Another great video!
Somebody in the beauty industry needs to start a channel with videos that explain the behind-the-scenes reasoning that goes into product launches-you’ve got a bunch of topics from Charlotte to start you off! Why so small? Why all peach blushes? Why no shade ranges? I’d watch that channel!
I love ALL of your videos (some more, some less 😉), but this one is a favorite of mine. It's not to see you being uncomfortable, but as a viewer it's really helpful to hear your thoughts why products aren't good/do not work. So thank you for stepping out of your comfort zone once again❣️ 😘
I was just talking to my fiancée how you are my absolut favorite content creator!! Unfortunately, these few months I haven't been able to watch all the videos, but always I can I watch them! You are the best Charlotte!! ❤😊
I love that Westman Atelier concealer, it’s my exact skin color, I feel lucky considering how much I paid for it. 😂 thanks for the video Charlotte, you’re right, we love hearing you rant. 😉
I loveeeee the hyper natural palette. I use the bronzer in my crease and then the single eye shadows are perfect for every day for me, I put this in my work make up bag so it’s so perfect for on the go. I’m also pale so it’s ideal. Get why it doesn’t work for many though!
I was so excited for the Kosas blushes as well! I remember I drove all the way out to the "good Sephora" so I could see all the shades in person. I had full intentions to buy one, possibly two and then when I finally saw them I was so disappointed! All the shades were very light and I just couldn't find even one I liked. So I'd throw in the towel on those, would be my advice..
Odd, I'm a tan olive south Asian skin, I've got 3, definitely show up. And I like an intense blush! But yes more intensity in colour than others. I really liked them
Love your videos. Yes, you are right I love the ND mini I need a dream blush. Actually traveling and have with me. I actually apply so highlighter sits on high point of my cheek and darker on lower area. I do wish it a little less powdery, a bit more creamy but still use often. On the Lancôme liquid eyeshadow, I so agree. I really thought it was going to be beautiful for a subtle day look but just doesn’t show well.
Hi Charlotte from NJ! Don’t know if you can get your hands on the Ravie Beauty blushes. They look similar to the Kosa’s blushes, but the formula is clean and smooth. They are Allie Glines’ newest! She’s unassuming and lovely
What's great about this video (as I'm doing my last big Sephora 20% off order) is the reasons behind the dislikes. It helps me for the opposite purpose!! For example blush; I know I look better in a matte, so I know what's really matte. And the Kosas blush which I've put one in my cart even though they're purportedly glowy, now I can feel better breaking my rule 😅 And as a light cool-tone it helps to hear what's too warm for an olive or neutral would be disastrous on me, but ash would probably work 🥴 it's helpful. Thanks for sharing 🤍
And were those the Dior bronzers you knew someone... "No good dead..." That happens to me all the time, I feel inclined to purchase them all because someone is helping me out and I end up disliking what I got?! Meanwhile had I waited like everyone else I might have only gotten one 🙄 At least you have them for review, I'm giving stuff away to anyone I can think of including strangers!! 😂
I was disappointed by the armani highlighter too, I was really excited thinking it would be like the becca liquid highlighter - but it's super glittery as you say 😢
I sent out a search party to buy extra of the Chanel primers. I even bought 3 from my SA in white (I preferred the Light Copper) and decided I'd figure it out later. I believe I've used 4 of these primers so far (I used it in the place of founadation a lot of days) with 5 more to go.
Don´t feel bad if it doesn´t work for you. If I can make you feel better, then you really really like the new Huda Ice-palette, and it doesn´t do it for me. Way too cool-toned for my taste and skin color 😁
I was also disappointed in the Dior bronzer . I forgot I had two ! I’m going to pull them out and start using them as transition shade on my eyes . Hopefully I will get some use out of them .
I have not had any luck with Kosas products. I didn’t try the blush because I had the bronzer and hated them because they hard panned almost instantly.
My top worst, and I’m lucky that I live in a country where I can return beauty products, were; 1) Tom Ford Soleil Neige cream blush and highlighter. I’m a pale gal and it wouldn’t show up on my face and I didn’t want to build it up too much because it’s a pretty emollient cream 💔 2) Tom Ford Soleil Neige Black Diamond eyeshadow palette… I looked like I had a black eye no matter how I applied it. And the beautiful sparkling shade creased on me. I Have the OG palettes and I never have that problem. Nope 👎 took it back! 3) the Chanel base that you didn’t enjoy either. It made my rosacea get worse. I think that’s it… 💜💜💖
Hi, the worst by far for me is the Jones Road miracle balm…they smell awful and really strongly. Trying to return them (bought 4 minis) as no mention of any scent on their website but the customer service is awful. 😢😢😢
The Kosas blush i finally tried after BF sales and i agree that they are nothing special. You don't get a gorgeous glow (that many powder blushes offer without any detectable shimmers), no noticeable hydration, nor would it be a blurring, perfecting matte. I felt equally disappointed with their powder. Very dry. The BB gel and the concealer are bangers though. The drugstore segment has gorgeous baked blushes that really deliver a better finish though (even Made in Italy)!
Behind watching, we were away a midweek 👍but loved to watch this, you always make me laugh!!!😂 Goodness i have a WA concealer waiting to try...waited cause i still have quite some concealers open. But now i'm so curious maybe i will use it before the end of the year! I love the that combination easy ND palette. But makeup, skincare it's always personal, depending on so many things, skintone/undertone/skintype, everything. I love these, best of, favorite, fails, rankings, i love so much to watch, thanks so much dear Charlotte, have a wonderful day!!!😘😘😘😘
You are not alone!! I agree with you on all points!! 2024 was a year of conundrums 🤷♀️ I bought a bundle this year and it was all pinks and 2 dark lips and the liner pencils did not match ???! Thank goodness I didn’t give it as a gift!
Exciting!! Charlotte, do you know which eyeshadow primer is dedicated to extremely dry eyelids/skins? I must wear occlusion so, as you can imagine, no make lasts or looks the way it is supposed to from the very start . I’ve been wondering whether any brand has come up with a formula for extreme dry skinned oldies (lol)- I’m 48 😜
@ never used any. Just checked, Cultbeauty gave me Urban Decay’s with one order a few months ago. It didn’t even occur to me I might use it lol I’ll look into that from Rare Beauty. Thank you 💐💐💐
What the heck? I have the same Armani highlighters in white and in dawn and they don’t have any sparkles- they really do melt into my skin and look like glass. After watching this I went out into the sunlight and looked under my phone flashlight and I can’t see a single glitter…. I’m so confused. Anyone else have these? I’m curious as to your experience. I can usually spot a glitter a mile a way
THANK YOU!!!! I thought I was mostly alone in my disdain for the Westman Atelier concealer! It is so yellow on me, and I also picked up a "neutral" shade.
Thank you for speaking up. I was disappointed by the Rare Beauty face powder. I have an oily T Zone and it's okay on the sides of my face but useless on the T Zone. It is slightly useless if applied with the Rare Beauty puff rather than with a brush.
US sephora has a holiday set of the Kosas blushes thats a trio of colors (not sure if you can get it there). But that is what I got so I could try them out. I actually really like them and think they look very similar to my hourglass ones. There was a shade in it called "Butterflies" which is a VERY bright pink and I thought no way was that going to work for me.... but lo and behold it looks beautiful because it does have a more sheer application. They are not super glowy though, like you said you wanted.
I wanted to try those fenty blushes but missed out buying them before they disappeared. For some strange reason we UK peeps never got her powder blushes released here, it’s been a while and still no show. Am surprised to see the Kosas blushes in there as many liked those, but great to hear your thoughts, as I was eyeing the peach and bright pink
I love these videos Charlotte! They help us save money and understand why you don’t like the different products. I love your purple top with your green eye look, very beautiful! I also adore and love your humor it’s always so spot on, you have wonderful word choices ☺️❤️ I always laugh and smile through out your videos! The Westman Atlier concealer shades are a nightmare. They are all so off in my opinion. I watched many reviews, I was super interested to try it but after watching your review and others I completely skipped it! I was watching Angelica’s makeup tag video the other day. I saw that you commented that you were going to film your version. I hope you still plan on filming that video! It’s the one where you take about the….Best collaboration of the year, the biggest curve ball releases, the best product of the year, the most innovative, boring and so on all from your own opinion. I really enjoyed watching Angie’s and I hope you still plan to film that. Thank you for the wonderful video saving me some money and making me laugh!
The WA concealer - I got shade matched in person to a cool tone shade. I'm a neutral. There are no cool tones in the shade range 😮💨. It sucks because the formula is great.
The mean part about the Dior bronzers was that the slight difference wasn't something people could expect: i like my bronzer rather cool/red in undertone and the lightest with pink was more yellow than the light peach bc of the actual bronzer shade.
I absolutely agree that the WA concealer (bright yellow), kosas blushers (horrible formula) and Fenty blushers (pure glitter) were all absolutely ghastly
I really appreciate your opinion on the ND face palette! I won’t waste my time! Same with the Armani highlighter; I’m sure I would have wasted money on those too. XOXO Heidi
PM spring blush/higlighter duo....Hate it.Its making my pores so huge on my cheeks and very patchy on apply. But do love the Fenty Beauty blushes specialy with ND I need a warm palette ❤
Love these…The blusher has really good comments on Sephora, so yes definitely individual preference. It’s great that we are all different..I think on oily skin it will be perfect..❤
Agree with all but Kosas blushes. I have a few shades and they are finely milled. There is also a bit of difference in perfect, let’s say. Dreamland is the perfect no makeup bronzy shade and looks more luminous than the pigmented , bright pinks. P.S. Lancôme liquid eyeshadows are bad, swatch so well and then go crazy patchy on the eyes
Just used the Natasha Face Palette today for the first time in ages... but I'm pale (used Urban Decay HydroManiac in 10 ultra fair) and on my palest at the moment so the blush/bronzer are fine by me. I used the bronzer also as a matte and used "everyday" on the lid and "dreamy"in the innercorner. I mixed the blush and bronzer by the way. Some mascara and a MAC lipstick (hot gossip) and I was good to go. So for the winter I like it, for the summer not (while it should be a nice travelpalette).
Hi, the only failed products I have had tried this wear drugstore products, because I convinced myself that they are worth to try…what a waste of my money … not a single one works…. So I am back. My resolution is not to pretend that I am drugstore girl and buy what I want and need. I have one makeup bag so When I need something I will buy beautiful things that I deserve not only others (that I am buying presents for)…
There is no basis for that assertion. I have some great luxury products and others (most of them crap and a waste of money) and others from the pharmacy that are simply great that work just as well or better than the luxury ones. You need to travel more of the world, my dear 😏😏
These videos are great! I like hearing your full opinions. I actually love the winter glow primer! like you said, I have really dry skin. It pairs incredibly well with the water fresh tint. I know it's small but I use it 4-7 times a week and I still have quite a bit🤷♀️
We have to agree to disagree on the ND blush. It’s my go-to blush and highlighter, especially for travel. The size is perfect for me. I have an olive skin tone and have no issues with the color. I tend to prefer powder over cream products though.
I'm so taken back by the kosas dislike! I'm south asian tan, i LOVE A Bright blush. I got the trio, one is a bit light but they all work for me, they remind me of hourglass but even better! I have the hour glass lilly palette and found that's come the closest. Different kosas blush definitely have different levels of "glow". Some more natural, some more glittery....etc that's why so many "look alikes".
I really enjoy watching these “negative review” videos, because i myself I’m never sure what I like or what I dont like 😂 I would buy a product and think “hmm I guess that’s not bad” but can never quite put my finger to it as what makes it “not perfect”. You help me understand why I didn’t LOVE these products 😅
I was disappointed in the Hyper-Natural palette for all the reasons you mentioned. I thought it would be good for a quick “get-ready-at-the-gym” palette, but sadly, no.
I bought and use and love the ND dream mini blush…..but I understand your opinion - my problem with it that it does not last as long as other blushes I own
I am with you about the Kosas blushes! I got the mini trio and they are awful!!! Not impactful or ethereal, not smoothing, very blah! Like 1990s blushes.
I love this video!!!! 😂 don’t cringe! I agree with all except the westman concealer does work for me. I’m B10 in Chanel, 1N Dior. The L1 is very brightening yet meticulous for me. Actually far easier a shade match than Natasha denona.
I lusted after the Givenchy Sheer Velvet lipsticks for a good year before I bought two in the Sephora sale. I thought long and hard about the colors and got Rouge Erable and the red-pink (forgot the name).I tried to love them for 2 weeks before I finally returned them...colors were not flattering, they balled up in my lip lines, and just smelt so strongly of perfume!
For me, it was the LisaEldridge baume embrace, I was so excited and bought 2 shades. I really like the formula and the look they give my lips. I also like the colors a lot. But there is a flavor in the formula that I really don't like. It reminds me of expired makeup. And I have the feeling that it lingers and don't fade away quick enough for me to be not bothered. I juse them because of the formula. I will not repurchase these at all. I prefer the luxuriously lucent lipsticks so much more.
I can't speak on this subject as I really was on a no buy this year. I am sorry those products did not work on you, maybe other people had that same problem and your helping them out not to try those products because you were very descriptive about why they weren't up to their claims.👍
I really didn’t like the Dior Forever stick foundation. It doesn’t go on smoothly for me. I don’t know if you can find the RMS blushes but they may be worth a try
Great video and a big help. I have the Natasha Denona Hyper Natural face palette and like it (I'm very fair) except for the eye shadows. I swapped out the shadows from some from my midi pallets to make the entire thing usable for me. I have never gotten anything from Kosas to work for me. Just not the brand for me.
I agree on the ND face palette and the Kosas blushes and I have a few. I found the Laura Geller performs better. I was disappointed in those. Thanks for sharing.
So thank G-d the Westman shade works for me and it is my most favorite concealer for my 53 almost 54 in two weeks - undereyes!! My next closest is Natasha but hers is thicker and so creases and this one is just gorg. The closest to it is Sheseido, which for some reason - although have gorgeous concealer and foundations - I keep forgetting about that they are in my makeup drawer. Same as Bobby Brown. Gorgeous yet forgettable for some reason
I bought the Dior Rouge Blush for the first time. I was so disappointed, it doesn't go onto my skin easily, doesn't look as nice as a cheaper blush that I always used. Because it's expensive I'm determined to use it up.
I love the lancome liquid eyeshadows and bought a second shade in black friday. I use them without priming my eyes and they work really well on me, lasting all day long
I think the Dior Rosy Glow blushes ( with out talc) - I think they were released this year but not sure) were a complete fail for me. Dry and dusty - Fail!
I love the Bronze one but I can care less about the other ones I bought I don't even touch them , I feel like they are nothing special but I do love the bronze one.
That Chanel primer! It was horribly fragranced and did nothing for me. I was so happy that I didn’t buy the ND face palette. I agree with you about the pink blush. That would give me clown cheeks. Honestly I’m not a big fan of face palettes.
I’d love to know your recommendations for one and done shadows! I’m on the hunt for a single shadow that I can pop in my makeup bag that takes up minimal space. I love my palettes but they take up brain space to put a look together some days when I just need to get ready and go! Love your videos ❤
Dior "Beige Mitzah". Incredible colour, so stunning, so natural, elegant and long lasting. Ridiculous pricing for one pan, but the formular is truly top notch. I tried to resist for a year, bought it and will never buy another single eyeshadow again. 😀👍
@ that shade is perfection and is exactly what I meant! You’ve actually even saved me money believe it or not as the one I was eyeing up (pun intended) was from chantecaille 😂 thank you! 🤩
Yes girl🙌 Thank god it wasn’t just me! The Chanel icy beige primer and the YSL lipstick are the biggest MEHs of the year!!😢 Was so disappointed with them as had such high hopes. The YSL lipstick most particularly-get the microscope out to see the sparkle🔬😂Not awful products just nothing like I was expecting them to be-no glowing, sparkly lip goddess here and for the price tag I should have been!! Xx
Don’t feel uncomfortable because you don’t like something. You’re helping us to not waste our time & money. Thank you!
And you are so diplomatic and fair. Thanks!
@@jmdagger10 @lisapierce525 You two are both darlings. ❤
That's a very British trait. Very apologetic for anything even sightly impolite. Bless!
*suluxy* hydrate I love you so much and watching your videos makes my day brighter❤
You always make me laugh! You are the smartest, most entertaining influencer on YT, you should have millions of followers. Seriously, not a joke!! Another great video!
Purple top and green eyeshadow looks gorgeous on you.
I agree, it looks lovely! So nice to be inspired. I would have chosen mauve eyeshadow, but this looks so much more unexpected. I love it!
Agreed! Such a fresh elegant eyeshadow look❤
I just bought a Fendi in dark red leather today at *suluxy* I have been weighing it in my head and I will use this video as a sign to buy it

There is a chanel called The lipstick lesbians and she explains a lots about manufacturing processes it's rather interesting. They are cool
@ Thanks so much! I’ll check it out. 😊
Those Dior bronzers of the same color - omg I'm dying laughing! And the "Simpson yellow" concealers! You are so funny, Charlotte!
I love ALL of your videos (some more, some less 😉), but this one is a favorite of mine. It's not to see you being uncomfortable, but as a viewer it's really helpful to hear your thoughts why products aren't good/do not work. So thank you for stepping out of your comfort zone once again❣️

I love that Westman Atelier concealer, it’s my exact skin color, I feel lucky considering how much I paid for it. 😂
thanks for the video Charlotte, you’re right, we love hearing you rant. 😉
Your eye shadow looks beautiful with your complexion. 💚
I loveeeee the hyper natural palette. I use the bronzer in my crease and then the single eye shadows are perfect for every day for me, I put this in my work make up bag so it’s so perfect for on the go. I’m also pale so it’s ideal. Get why it doesn’t work for many though!
Lol, same! 🎉❤
I loved the colours on this, but the eyeshadows creased really badly on me.
Oh I love that shade of purple! 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍
Enjoyed this as its good to remind ourselves that its ok if something doesn’t work for yourself instead of struggling to make it work x
The ND palette works wonderfully for me for quick looks, as I used the lighter contour shade as my transition eyeshadow.
You save me so much money. But, more importantly, I am always happy with my purchases because of your honesty. Thank you ❤️
I love what you're wearing on your eyes.
The green and golden eyeshadow really brings out the green Jade grayish shades of your eyes 😊 so beautiful 🎉
I also thought the dior bronzer blush highlighters were weird, when they could have been a slam dunk.
I bought the mini ND blush dream in the Sale… Hope I like it lol 😝 ❤
I agree with you on the ND eyeshadow, so I pop out a shimmer and replace it with mattes from other midi palattes.
Every time you have a video with the make-up done already, i'm mesmerised by your eyelook. 😍

Hi Charlotte, thanks for beeing honest. And you look beautiful in that top - and the nailpolish fits the color perfect!
It isn’t complemented by the hand tattoo, which really doesn’t go with her overall look.
Love your look in this video !
Beautiful ❤

The only blush, highlight and powder pallet for me is the Hourglass pallets.
I really was underwhelmed by Kosas blushes soooo disappointing however I think u would like shade butterfly it’s the most pigmented one!
I wasn’t that disappointed in the finish or the colours but I hate the packaging 😡 I struggle to open them.
I really appreciate your opinion on the ND face palette! I won’t waste my time! Same with the Armani highlighter; I’m sure I would have wasted money on those too. XOXO Heidi
Loved this episode thank you 😘
*suluxy* hydrate I love you so much and watching your videos makes my day brighter❤
I love watching you. I never stop laughing ❤
I love your background, lovely feng shui. have you ever done a home tour I bet you have a lovely space!!!
Thank you for the reviews.
Amen to that Dior bronzer. Pretty packaging and that's it. Dull color and almost immediately hard pan.
Euphoria is a color that would work on your skin tone. This formula does remind me of the Pat McGrath blushes. Adrenaline is deeper too.
Hi, the only failed products I have had tried this wear drugstore products, because I convinced myself that they are worth to try…what a waste of my money … not a single one works…. So I am back. My resolution is not to pretend that I am drugstore girl and buy what I want and need. I have one makeup bag so When I need something I will buy beautiful things that I deserve not only others (that I am buying presents for)…
Please can you tell us in what way these products don't measure up to their luxury counterparts?
There is no basis for that assertion. I have some great luxury products and others (most of them crap and a waste of money) and others from the pharmacy that are simply great that work just as well or better than the luxury ones. You need to travel more of the world, my dear 😏😏
What eyeshadow are you wearing? Absolutely stunning on you 🥰
oh i love your lipstick here!
I bought and use and love the ND dream mini blush…..but I understand your opinion - my problem with it that it does not last as long as other blushes I own
Love your videos and reviews ❤️
The tirtir red cushion foundation was my biggest fail. Yet the wet & wild niacinamide skintint that no one talked about was my hidden gem
I'm thrilled to see this!! 😂 I'm happy not everything works!!❤❤❤❤❤😂😂😂ty Charlotte!🎉🎉
I use them without priming my eyes and they work really well on me, lasting all day long
I bought the golden bronze and was so disappointed, I agree with everything that Charlotte said
@ 🥺
As I use the Fenty blusher to get ready for an xmas party 😂
I’m actually happy to be de-influenced. Sometimes I’ve enjoyed them and sometimes I’ve held off. Either way, I am happy to catch your reviews.
The kosas blushes washed me out, the undertone is just wrong.
Thank you for your funny and insightful comments❤
I remember that u hade Fenty hot blush was one of yours monthly favorite ,That is why i bough it in first place😥
Xx
