Hey Alicia! I can confirm that you can use these for liquids! I don't have this brush yet but I actually have two fox haired brushes from a Russian brand collection and use them both with liquids they're perfectly fine! The thing about fix hair that I learned is it all depends on the length. If the bristles are long you should use it with powder products the shorter the bristles the better it is with liquids.
@@FluffyFude Yes I did! I used the beauty blender cleanser to clean my brushes so far and it's a gentle cleanser and everything came out. BTW I use only liquid face products (I use airbrush makeup with a brush mostly, liquid foundations with a thicker concealer) and I only use one brush to do my full face since it's all the same texture. I intend to buy this FO-2 brush to do a full face too we'll see how it goes.

I went a lil pedantic because there’s such scarce info out there and I know everyone is wondering if this brush can be used to liquid. Had to put the disclaimer in the end because I don’t want to spread misinformation - I’m just a fude consumer/lover, not a pro! It’s been a couple of weeks and I have not touched anything else for foundation since getting this. I love Sonia G so freaking much, but her stipple brush is practically rubbing my face on sandpaper compared to the FO-2! I know there’s one other girl on the fude subreddit who has also been using this with liquid... so there’s at least 2 of us out there 👀 Okokok lastly, I’ve been regularly watching your content for half a year now and I think we fell into the fude hole DEEP at the same pace. I’m so glad RUclips has someone as articulate, charismatic and passionate as you to emancipate us all from the purgatory of Morphe 🥰

Fluffy Fude I use the Clean Apothecary brush soap and it washes pretty quickly! About on par with goat and a bit quicker than synthetics - it is dense but not extremely so. I have a feeling that fox bristles are much less porous than goat and squirrel because the brush never has a “liquid nestled within” feeling to it. When I use this brush with a cream foundation, the absorption is so minimal that it’s as if no product gets deposited within the brush at all. The closest I’d say is... imagine the almost nylon-esque glidey feel of kolinsky but thinner, softer, and with less resistance. If kolinsky and squirrel had a baby but it inherited 65% of the squirrel’s DNA? ☺️
Guurl, I'm so happy for you 😍😘😍 I absolutely can relate to your love for brushes, there's something so magical about them. For me they stand for creativity, freedom, happiness, art and beauty. Since I was a child I always loved to paint with brushes, I loved to take them in my hand to find out what brush serves what purpose. And now I'm also fascinated with makeup brushes. I mean, in the nineties I used the little sponge applicators that came with the eyeshadows and had one brush for blush. Now there are so many to choose from, it's awesome.But my point is that I always knew, as soon as I take a brush in my hand it means having some me time and taking a break from the world. It always helped me so much to stay sane when times where really hard and that's why I love brushes and why I am really grateful for their existence. If you decide to use them with liquid, definitely keep us posted. I will not be using mine with liquid foundation because I have other goat brushes that I can use instead. Something I would suggest if you do decide to try using a natural hair brush with liquid foundation is to apply ( dot ) the foundation to your face using a palette knife or your fingers, then blend with the brush. That way the foundation won't penetrate deeply into the ferrule but only stay on the tips of the bristles vs applying the foundation directly to the brush & then to your face. People complain about their face brushes being difficult to clean & I think that's why. You don't want water going into the ferrule when you clean your brushes & makeup really shouldn't either if you can help it. 🖌

I just love the look of these brushes. Green is my favorite color and I love how the ferrule complements the brush hairs and handle. I was looking at these brushes the other day so it's like you read mind. Fude is my favorite part of makeup. I feel like using an amazing brush heightens the experience of applying makeup; it makes all the difference in your application.

These brush videos are great! After retirement I quit makeup for about 10 years . Now I’m back and these brushes are breeding like rabbits ! I bought the BK beauty and Angie’s Hot and flashy. Then on to Rephr and just ordered 4 Fude from your recommendations. I like the BK for certain things and Angie’s to. But I have to say I really prefer the Rephr for eyes since I pretty much only use powder on them . Just enjoying learning all over on my more mature skin . Thanks for the detailed videos . I found you searching for Pat McGrath palettes and totally loved your precise descriptions!

So happy for you! I've been on the fence about the Fox series since it is so new and still quite a splurge (not a surprise shall we say) I was waiting to read and see what people thought of them! This video definitely peaked my interest😂The big fluffies look like such a dream to put on your face, I wonder if they are softer than the grey squirrel ones? (Z1, Z9 etc, ones with similar sizes) Also, it is okay to use it with liquids, and totally fine to not wash it before use! The brushes are typically good to go right out of the packaging except for ones that are glued together to protect the bristles. (Kolinsky, weasel, small eye brushes or lip brushes) So don't apologize!! Would you kindly add a photo of all of the Fox series side by side for size comparison? Mainly I wanted to see how the powder and cheek brush is different in size 😊although the slanted one seem quite big after wash, it might still be a bit smaller than the Face Pro? Hope you are loving your Z1! I noticed that when I first wash mine there is such a strong, STRONG odor that got me a bit nervous. I knew there are cases that people report about it lingering even when its dry, obviously I don't want that so I used scented conditioner to get the odor out. I know its not recommended to use scented ones but I had to so it won't drive me insane... I wouldn't be able to live with a $175 brush that smells so bad!! Anyways, thought I should share how I dealt with that issue since I know it's quite common. 😌

It's all about balance which from what you share with us I think you definitely have so enjoy the brushes without one single regret on the money :) also a quick question: if i would need to get only 1, would you recommend the fox hair one for powder or the z1? Or the face pro? Want to use it for setting powder and bronzer. I lean towards the fox one which i have my eyes on for months but would definitely appreciate your opinion since you have all of them. Thanks for this video. I want Sonia G ‘s Face Pro brush, but it’s out of stock, so I’m considering the Chikphodo FO-4 cheek highlight brush. I read that you can also use it for bronzer too.
A bit late to the discussion, but I wanted to mention that I’ve been using the FO-2 with Macrene Actives Tinted Moisturizer. It blends the product beautifully and gives me a natural air-brushed finish. After using and washing it for a few months, I can confirm it’s holding up just fine with very minimal shedding. I used to use my fingers, but I’m hooked on the FO-2.
I just ordered the F04 and the F06, I’ve wanted the Face Pro for so long and the F04 reminds me of it plus it gives me a chance to try a different type of natural hair brush.
I think you will really love it! It’s a smaller size head and not as dense, but I feel that’s what makes it so versatile. It’s definitely a ninja brush!

Ooh I took a gamble and bought the FO-1 and FO-3 because girl.... I love powder brushes too and can't get enough. I love these brushes! I personally don't think they are as soft as the Z series, almost there though! But they are definitely softer than Saikoho and have no problems on my sensitive skin. Have been using them over a week for my ambient lighting powder and also blush and it's picks up more pigment than squirrel so really good for harder blushes. Really good buys on top of them being beautiful. Have placed another order with Visage and am awaiting my FO-4 and FO-5 plus the MK-UM!

How do you like the Surratt powder? I ALMOST bought that one! I need to use the Z1 more, but it’s a unique shape because of the round ferrule and tapered design. Dense while being airy at the same time! So I think picks up more product than the Z9, and fits into the hollows of the cheeks more precisely.

The Z-1 is one of my favorite Fudes. It’s perfection especially after you wash it and it blooms. It’s a beautiful finishing brush.

I bought the BK beauty and Angie’s Hot and flashy. Then on to Rephr and just ordered 4 Fude from your recommendations.
I like the BK for certain things and Angie’s to. But I have to say I really prefer the Rephr for eyes since I pretty much only use powder on them . Just enjoying learning all over on my more mature skin .

So happy for you! I've been on the fence about the Fox series since it is so new and still quite a splurge (not a surprise shall we say) I was waiting to read and see what people thought of them! This video definitely peaked my interest😂The big fluffies look like such a dream to put on your face, I wonder if they are softer than the grey squirrel ones? (Z1, Z9 etc, ones with similar sizes) Also, it is okay to use it with liquids, and totally fine to not wash it before use! The brushes are typically good to go right out of the packaging except for ones that are glued together to protect the bristles. (Kolinsky, weasel, small eye brushes or lip brushes) So don't apologize!!
Would you kindly add a photo of all of the Fox series side by side for size comparison? Mainly I wanted to see how the powder and cheek brush is different in size 😊although the slanted one seem quite big after wash, it might still be a bit smaller than the Face Pro?
Hope you are loving your Z1! I noticed that when I first wash mine there is such a strong, STRONG odor that got me a bit nervous. I knew there are cases that people report about it lingering even when its dry, obviously I don't want that so I used scented conditioner to get the odor out. I know its not recommended to use scented ones but I had to so it won't drive me insane... I wouldn't be able to live with a $175 brush that smells so bad!! Anyways, thought I should share how I dealt with that issue since I know it's quite common. 😌

It's all about balance which from what you share with us I think you definitely have so enjoy the brushes without one single regret on the money :) also a quick question: if i would need to get only 1, would you recommend the fox hair one for powder or the z1? Or the face pro? Want to use it for setting powder and bronzer. I lean towards the fox one which i have my eyes on for months but would definitely appreciate your opinion since you have all of them. Thanks for this video. I want Sonia G ‘s Face Pro brush, but it’s out of stock, so I’m considering the Chikphodo FO-4 cheek highlight brush. I read that you can also use it for bronzer too.
A bit late to the discussion, but I wanted to mention that I’ve been using the FO-2 with Macrene Actives Tinted Moisturizer. It blends the product beautifully and gives me a natural air-brushed finish. After using and washing it for a few months, I can confirm it’s holding up just fine with very minimal shedding. I used to use my fingers, but I’m hooked on the FO-2.
I just ordered the F04 and the F06, I’ve wanted the Face Pro for so long and the F04 reminds me of it plus it gives me a chance to try a different type of natural hair brush.
I think you will really love it! It’s a smaller size head and not as dense, but I feel that’s what makes it so versatile. It’s definitely a ninja brush!

Ooh I took a gamble and bought the FO-1 and FO-3 because girl.... I love powder brushes too and can't get enough. I love these brushes! I personally don't think they are as soft as the Z series, almost there though! But they are definitely softer than Saikoho and have no problems on my sensitive skin. Have been using them over a week for my ambient lighting powder and also blush and it's picks up more pigment than squirrel so really good for harder blushes. Really good buys on top of them being beautiful. Have placed another order with Visage and am awaiting my FO-4 and FO-5 plus the MK-UM!

How do you like the Surratt powder? I ALMOST bought that one! I need to use the Z1 more, but it’s a unique shape because of the round ferrule and tapered design. Dense while being airy at the same time! So I think picks up more product than the Z9, and fits into the hollows of the cheeks more precisely.
