It was foolish them trying to remake Snow White in the 2020s anyway. The lead character being white is driven snow? Can't have that in 2020s multicultural globalization propaganda. Characters who are dwarves? Going to offend some Karen. So you end up with what looks like a parody of Snow White with a brown actress and seven random hipsters.
Snow White is the very first cartoon that started the Disney empire so I'm betting it'll pull $2 billion. This is the all time greatest classic that everyone on the planet knows. If Lion King and inside out can do $1.7 billion then this will do even more. Trust me.

It's alot of money. I'm guessing the CGI dwarves aren't cheap. Plus the reshoots and special effects must have skyrocketed the budget. But this is the greatest classic and will do $2 billion.

''Wolfs'', the new action/comedy starring Brad Pitt & George Clooney, which is on Apple TV+ , had allegedly a budget of 200 $ Million! ( another unconfirmed article claimed even 300 $ Million!)
It's a generic action/comedy with no crazy action set pieces of VFX shots or anything, streaming on Apple TV of all things. But it had a higher budget than Dune or the last John Wick movie, both movies that feature a big cast, extensive VFX shots and elaborate action sequences.
At this point, Hollywood is just a big washing machine if you catch what I mean....

After this many reshoots I'm just wondering given the high price tag what are odds this film may have been completely reshoot. Because we know from interviews that Disney and Disney owned studios have had to change much of what they've shot in ever film over the last two years. We may find out ultimately this was Disney's Concord, something so over budget to begin with it would have been smarter to just drop tge project after a certain date years ago.
They should just cut their losses and Batgirl it at this point. No-one wants it anyway 🤷♂️

That would be silly because their goal is to market his sucker the way BArbie marketed that movie. Which means they not only want women to be the main target audience, they want women who love pretty things and feel nostalgic for their childhood to pour in. Neither of those potential audience targets have anything to do with men. It would be the same as blaming extraterrestrials for not watching Doctor Who.
They do known that part of demographic of men who are spending money on these movies are men who do it to spend time with their partner. The big question is are women going to see it, because most women don’t really seem all that excited about to see it.
Half a billion for a Snow White remake would only be justifiable, if every frame was some hand-drawn hyperrealistic version of the original. For a half-baked live action though? Naw. It’s a flop.
The CGI dwarves cost alot and the special effects are expensive to create the fantasy world. I'm calling it. $2 billion box office. 🤞🏻

It was a proper 'dinklage' move by Peter Dicklage when he had a hissy fit about the film featuring dwarves, he basically evaporated 7 jobs that could've went to people who aren't cast a lot in major films. As for Disney and the budget, it's just another one added to their of recent self-owns lol
The colour palette, effects, the dwarves ffs, don't matter for this film. It's problem is the lead actress, and the script she has hinted at. Nobody wants to see Rachel Zegler as woke Snow White. So FO Disney!
It's too late and she wasn't woke when they hired her. Okay she said a few weird too many times but she's just a kid so give her a pass. This movie will break a billion and I'm betting it'll hit $2 billion.

If it was all practical effects and stunning stages I would be impressed... we can see in the trailer it's all CGI garbage. In the 80s they made movies like Legend, all practical effects and costing likely 10% of what this will cost and will look 1000% better!
This film is the most fantastically perfect microcosm of the mid 20s. The story is apparently a butchered "modern" take on a classic fairy tale; the lead is barely an adult who is better known for being insufferable on social media than for her acting, and she's never had a hit but Hollywood keeps trying to make her "it" girl anyway; there's the Peter Dinklage King of the Dwarves controversy; literally everyone from studio insiders to the least interested normie knows the movie is going to fail long, but disney--the company that has been trying to monopolize entertainment for a decade--is too proud to shit can anything called "Snow White"; the film has been repeatedly delayed for multiple reshoots, including in response to online mockery; and because of this, and to top off this incredible, thoroughly modern masterpiece of remarkable, epic fuck up-ery, the budget might balloon to make it the most expensive movie ever made. At the very least, it will be one of the most expensive. If somehow sexual harassment allegations and inflation can be woven into the tale of the making of the 2020s "Snow White" it might create a singularity that will cause time to run backwards so that the old animated "Snow White" and the new modern version are released at precisely the same point in space-time. And what will happen if that should occur, well...Walt help us all.

I think the fixes entailed completely reshooting this film because given how that teaser looked compared to on set photos they had to have changed way more than they should have.

I am legitimately starting to think a bigger budget equals a shittier project. Snow White, She Hulk, Acolyte, Concord, Star Wars Outlaws, Rings of Power… Contrast with the incredible Godzilla Minus One for about 12 million. Side note, whoever wrote that Snow White comment about the Prince saying “I’m here for your stepmom” is a damn genius.

If there was anybody creative in Harveywood that actually worked their way to success instead of born into the cult there might be some good scripts. As is, they shoot kind of story free and plan to paste it together in post with CGI, and it always feels that way. Bad movies get no audience.

As I recall, the UK reimburses up to 25% of a film's expenses in the UK. What expenses count towards that is a matter of judgement at some level and Disney is a big company.
