Page rocks the tremolo in a genius manner; same as when he uses b- bender on other songs. He knows how to milk those droning sustained chords - so cool.
@@plugmusic7852 From what l understand, this is "The" only time the song has been played live. Am l correct? The Zep has always been my favor-ite band, with ZZTOP right on their heels!
@@gsxrkz i agree with your feeling regarding plants voice definitely changed from 1969-1973...vs after ward....however the soul and emotion never left...i argue he is just as soulful after the '73...the goat will always be!!!!!!!!
sorry to disagree, but for us old-timers who were there when the sound of Whole lotta Love came blaring out of our AM Transistor radios, to the act of going/seeing LZ Live throughout the 70's, The above show is cute. It does not resemble a original member Zeppelin concert at all. If you're a youngin' that never had that opportunity to see LZ in their prime, then go ahead and enjoy yourself, you deserve at least that... BUT, There is no replicating in any way. shape or form - the incredible vibe felt the week of a show(s) until the day Zep leaves and returns for another tour... I can hardly explain what ZEP WEEK was like for a teenager in the 70's, and you cannot get anything like that from this concert.
@@bishlap thanks for your thoughts They had to have been a force of nature to which very few others were I have listened to the 69-80 bootlegs There is no question the bootlegs captured amazing shows I for one have been notably impressed with the very early stuff Plants voice especially in the very nascent stages of LZ’s reign was unmatched As he matured in the mid 70’s and beyond I believe his voice was just as soulful as in the early years.... @@gsxrkz Cool my Brother. I'm not trying to put anyone down either, I hope those that weren't there for LZ in the 70's enjoy these one-off shows, but it's not LED ZEPPELIN... In fact, the PAGE/PLANT tour of the late 90's was far better than this show - no insult intended. PEACE.
The young masters have aged. They still got it. Just enough. Too make you realise they’re the greatest. Thank god they didn’t tour. Now we remember them for what they were not for what they could’ve became
Damn guys....why didn't you play one more tour....one last summer or x number of lucky cities...and give old and new fans alike a chance at seeing you in all your perfection and rock and roll glory.....just why?? !!!!!!
This is why I got rid of ALL my Plant stuff(except LZ). Give the people what they want. After all it was THEY who made you what you are! AND Jimmy Page! Robert won't tour as Led Zeppelin because he just can't turn around and not see John Bonham. Bonzo would be thrilled to see Jason behind the kit. Any father would but RP won't do it. Just so incredibly sad. Younger fans would get to see a glimmer of what older fans who were lucky to see them got to see.
this song ended up being the highlight for the whole show, being never played live before...i think with newly recorded songs and a dip into other never played songs,a tour would have been possible for the fans but RP and LZEP are oil and water, they just don't mix anymore in a live setting ,there's just no more chemistry there,it's RP way or the highway and its proved in his shows, with having a vast collection from his solo career, why is there 5 zep songs in a 12 song set list,it just does'nt make sense.....his setlist should consist of songs from pictures@11 to carryfire with maybe 1 zep song ,not 5........stop thumbing your nose at JP and JPJ by playing your karaoke versions of the zep classics....bernie
LZ have such a wide range. Great to hear this live. I remember when I first heard it I couldnt quite relate to it . But it is quite extraordinary and they certainly know what they are doing
Wow! Amazing 👏! John Paul Jones the greatest bass of all time! He's great in instruments! Where is his long hair? He has two dimples on both cheeks, cute!🤗
If you don't feel it turn it off fast It is the sound and the feeling you get deep down in side Man just love the big video wall a lot of big bands use Being a stage hand for over 25 years this is a super good one
It’s a damn shame Robert Plant wouldn’t go on the world tour after the 40 th anniversary concert in London in 2008. There’d be so many not just older fans but new, young fans , it’s was very selfish of Robert Plant.
@Laurie Albert-Cooper..selfish why...Robert Plant does not owe anyone but himself and his family anything...do you know the real reason he doesn’t want to do a world tour...no, I didn’t think so...
Better than the original recording. Love this
Plant still has amazing voice 👍👏👏👏👏🕊👍

John Paul Jones stays grounded when Jimmy flies high for a while, which makes the song both stable and stimulating

amazing.. a bigsby that keeps in tune.. wow
I've always loved how that song twitches and jerks. Page's ability to mine for off kilter riffs never fails to astonish.
One of my top Zeppelin faves
Mine too!!
Sounding bloody good here, my beloved ZEP
Presence is underrated af. Just managed to get a first vinyl pressing (1976) for £18 a few weeks ago and it works amazing, couldn't be happier with it
Presence was the first vinyl album I had bought
Enjoy!!
BOUGHT IT ON 8 TRACK WHEN IT CAME OUT
Unbelievable! They nailed it. Go Jason!
Next song ?
Better prepare 😉
It was a April morning when they told us we should go, as I turned to you ! You smiled at me how could we say know ?

Emotionally Plant can't deal with it. He said after this show he went to bar, drank half a bottle of vodka and several beers just to numb out.

Yours will too!
More like 1973 after botched throat surgery. The lifestyle and cigarettes didn't help either
