I've been looking forward to getting behind the wheel of this one; the new and absolutely crazy Alfa Romeo Giulia GTAm! It's limited, track focused, makes almost no sense... yet also captures the attention of all petrolheads as something totally unique. What do you think about it?
What do you think about the price ? It's 180.000 € here in belgium... Thats more than DOUBLE the price of a QV.. for only having 30 hp more and 100 kg lighter (gtam) ... yes there is more aero , but even sutcliffe says it's slower than he would like it to be? It's only that expensive because of the limited numbers, and thats a shame in my opinion... I wonder what your thoughts are on the price? Grtz keep it up!
Way over prized and unworthy of the historical GTAm name. Just an idea of the Alfa marketing department wanting to make a quick buck out of this Alfa Guilia Quadrifoglio Halfords edition
I love Alfa even though they have a bad habit of breaking anything from locks to engines, I know of one just last year where the owner was having to climb in and out of the passenger side for over a month as the dealer had to order parts. I think they must be NUTS to try charging that price I would run for the hills and get to Woking to pay for my 720S even if that had a quality problem.
Like what. Its a stock quadrifoglio with bucket seats a cage a few after market parts that anyone could add. No performance upgrades. On top of a totally unjustified price
@@DaleSteel It costs Alfa huge money to make just 500 cars and i bet they won't make huge profit with it but they chose to still do it because it makes the whole brand more attractive which many manufacturers don't understand anymore in my opinion
I compleatly agree to you, I have the 2019 Alfa Romeo Stelvio 280hp version and the car is awsome. It is fun to drive, the performance, how quick it is, the steering, and everything is just amazing and perfect. Maybe on paper a Porsche Macan or some BMW X3 models are better, but in life, it is 100% that the Alfa will give you the best emotions

But then my buddy said they are super unreliable and I’d be better off buying something else and some people online say the same thing. What are your thoughts on the reliability?
Not that I’m biased or anything but this car is just insane!! The looks, the performance and not to mention such rich history of the name GTAm! 🔥🔥 great video!
@@terot8341 I’ve had mine for just over 3 years now. The only things I went to dealer for were software updates. It does have some quirks but that’s what makes it an Alfa. Some people had issues and were mostly related to bad battery and driving with low fuel. Overall the benefits of driving such a car outweighs the risk of something going wrong. They aren’t build like back in the day. In my opinion it’s fantastic to own and drive.

If they had wanted a 3L V6 could they have built it?, seems they missed an opportunity for the price being charged and would make the GTA more unique and collectable(tribute to previous 3L V6's) as well😕

I absolutely love Alfa Romeo. I remember the first time at a dealership, and a salesman showed me the ins and outs and I absolutely fell in love with the brand
I live in a small town in rural Tennessee. There’s someone here who has owned a 4c since they went on sale. There are several Giulias and Stelvios around in the immediate area as well.
Alfa Romeo is so special I felt in love with this brand it has some kind mystic, a lot histories behind of it you can right an enciclopedia is amazing !
The Montreal green GTAm is just stunning. Goes perfectly with the yellow calipers. The red with gold calipers is the other top spec imo. Red with gold is more bold but the green and yellow is more elegant and a touch low key. One of the most gorgeous cars of the modern era.
Hi Schmee, great review as always, and as an Alfisti pleased to see you did like the car overall (despite the price!) - at least that's how it came across. I've had my 156 GTA for 13 yrs - its never going to be the same as this car. This GTAm for me is an incredible achievement - just to get approval from a board to progress from a concept is incredible alone. You're comment on the public roads "it's so unique" and "it's a unique proposition" kind of sums it up perfectly. I guess I need to start saving, I want one (GTAm pls)!!
If I could afford it, I would have get my dream trilogy. A white GTA , a green GTAm, and a red GTAm "squared", special order project with a proper welded cage, track only. Thank you Alfa Romeo.

Of course the price is very very high, but it‘s the specialness that makes the price. Just 500 cars, all the carbon, the emotion, the rareness, the italian blood and the big history… history is such a big thing in buying Alfas, and of course the love for the brand. You can‘t compare this to an M3 because even the Quadrifoglio kills the M3… Alfas are so much more than just cars. You become part of the family with buying one. There are lots of meetings with many many owners and their stories. It‘s exactly that kind of people like you who owns Alfas, Garages full of memorbilia and stupid trips just to have fun with good friends. This is so much bigger than anything else in the car world. All that is what you get with buying such a car… and i mean look at the prices of the 8C‘s they were 175.000€ back then and now they are around 280.000-300.000€… Tim i tell you one thing if there is any chance to get one of those cars f.cking do it! I promise you will have the time of you life!!! 🍀🇮🇹♥️
Absolutely stunning car. Only one detail that would drive me mad: the infotainment image of the car. It doesn’t match the colour of the car. Such an easy thing to fix, but drives me crazy in my BMW M2 LCI ( the car isn’t an M2! Let alone the right colour ). Great review once again, and the fact you are smiling non stop sums the car up.

How is reliability for Alfa? Back in the days it had, like all Italian cars, bad reputation for lots of electric gremlins and other "quirks".

@@terot8341 mine is 14 months old, other than an over sensitive alarm, which was adjusted at first service, no other issues.
@@terot8341 my dad has a giula diesel from 2016 with now about 160'000km on the clock, and he never had an issue at all.
