  • The compact car segment is not dead and for 2024, the #NissanSentra gets a refresh that brings even more #BabyAltima vibes, especially to the #SentraSR trim level. #Nissan gave this latest generation #Sentra full redesign in 2020 and while the company has failed to offer a turbo high performance version again, for those of you looking for a stylish commuter car with premium vibes, its still work a look.

Happy Monday guys! The Nissan Sentra is kind of like the forgotten choice in the compact sedan segment, but it gets some updates this year that make it even more enticing next to some drab looking rivals. We just wish the company would put a turbo or hybrid engine under the hood. Would you choose one over a Civic, Corolla, or Elantra?

It is a $30,000 Nissan Sentra with a CVT and 149 Horsepower. I don't think it's even possible to rip off people more than this. Like, do we need to know more? They could put out 10 iterations of that CVT and I would never trust them again either. Anything with a JATCO component in it is a blacklisted car for me.

I rented the SV version for a week-long business trip recently and I am very very impressed by this car. Unlike the other brands, the exterior design looks very modern yet not overly edgy. I might just buy one as my commute/airport car. Having rented Corolla and Elantra frequently as well, this is is my choice (never seen a Civic for rental). The only weakness is the infotainment display is a tad small and is mounted straight and not tilted/biased towards the driver. Looking at that screen for navigation is not a good experience and it has quite a bit of glare. Everything else is great.

Looks great but so very lazy of them to just copy the design of the Altima each year, I miss when the Sentra used to get its own things and own styles like the Nismo edition of the 2018 and 2019 models along with this I find it crazy that they’re almost regressing as they’re cutting LED pieces like the taillights which were also on the 18, and 19 models I just hope they can either do something new next year since the Altima is leaving as well, or stop price gouging for features other companies offer standard. I unlike others actually like the CVT I don’t prefer it over anything else but it’s not bad at all but I’m just staying optimistic!
