Great truck but some information in the video needs corrected or correction. The Maverick tremor has 9.4 inches of ground clearance. The Maverick non hybrid has similar leg room and more headroom than the Honda Ridgeline. Yes it is wider but doesn't give you more room where it is needed that the video portrayed. Also FYI cubic ft bed on the Maverick 33.4, Ridgeline 33.9 Santa Cruz 27. Car and driver claims the Ford Maverick got 5.9 from 0 to 60, probably the fastest time for all three brands mentioned in the video. Also the video said the Ford Maverick being lower made it easier to enter. Which is true but it also has the most ground clearance for the 3 vehicles mentioned in the video. The Honda Ridgeline is 7.6 inches the Santa Cruz is 8.6 the Ford Maverick hybrid 8.3 the AWD 8.6 and the optional tremor is 9.4 inches of ground clearance. It's a great truck and surprisingly not that small at all in comparison. Add the additional advantage of ground clearance, trailer towing capabilities and payload capabilities it is a very capable truck. Almost forgot about the great mileage which definitely leads the truck industry. Just for reference Ford can not keep up with the demand and many couldn't wait to order and at the same time couldn't find what they wanted on the lot. So in these situations many bought other vehicles. The video touched on that by stating Ford had to stop the ordering. Still in 2023 Ford sold almost 2 to 1 for every Ridgeline and almost 3 to 1 for every Santa Cruz. I'm wondering once Ford can up production and offering the hybrid in AWD what kind of numbers it will generate.
You can not get one.I ordered on 2 months ago and can not get anyone to tell me when it will be made.May as well just go with the Hyundai Santa Cruz. At least that one is available.
As many others have said, $35K plus defeats the whole purpose of this truck, as does getting the turbo engine instead of the hybrid. In doing those two things you have ruined the affordability by making it cost the same or more than better, more capable rivals and by massively increasing the cost of ownership due to much higher fuel costs vs the hybrid. The hybrid powertrain has also proven to be the more reliable one, so that's 3 reasons it makes more sense. If you're splurging $35K for this you're much better off getting something like a Toyota Tacoma that will have a more usable bed and better hauling and towing capacity while only being slightly worse on fuel at 23 mpg vs 25 mpg combined. Toyota also has a better reliability record. Getting a Taco seems like a much better choice.
I don't know if you reviewers live in the real world. Yes the Ranger tows better, but it is also significantly more expensive. In the real world cost matters a great deal.
@@border411 Which will ahve an even cheaper interior, be only RWD, and lack many of the features this maverick has, like heated seats/steering wheel/mirrors.

Wow HR great detail! My channel can learn from you if you post your own videos.
2024 Ford Maverick UTE Lariat AWD Crew Cab 4X4!
No truck needs a sunroof 😂
You can not get one.I ordered on 2 months ago and can not get anyone to tell me when it will be made.May as well just go with the Hyundai Santa Cruz. At least that one is available.
TOYOTA please make this size truck. With better interior quality
Have you seen Toyota prices lately ? It ain’t gone be cheap !
"Top Speed: Yes" 😂
I would never pay 37k for such a cheap utilitarian, rental looking vehicle like this. Never Ever!
a ranger....or a tacoma.... why does no reviewer remember the frontier exists - my pro4x is amazing.
A Taco at this spec would be $50k or more
Why is getting the turbo "defeating the purpose"? If you want a commuter get a hybrid corolla.
I don't know if you reviewers live in the real world. Yes the Ranger tows better, but it is also significantly more expensive. In the real world cost matters a great deal.
You can get a Ranger STX for under $35k sticker price.
@@border411 Which will ahve an even cheaper interior, be only RWD, and lack many of the features this maverick has, like heated seats/steering wheel/mirrors.
Not to mention the ranger has basically the same interior room. for a significantly larger truck with worse MPG, unless you NEED to tow, get a maverick.
And I think this and the bronco sport have the most recalls out of any car sold in the US
I show the recalls on my videos. Most are just software updates.
@@fordmaverickmaniac What’s the story on the Maverick CVT ?
@user-rq1mk9hi4x The Mav hybrid trans is eCVT. All electronic much more reliable.
I love it
This thing looks so budget. Yet that price. Ford lost their minds here.
Ranger xlt Is waaaaay better then maverick lariat for about same money
For unibody trucks I would get a Honda Ridgeline
People that buy Ridgelines tend to get beaten up in road rage incidents. Better play it safe and get a Maverick.
@@RLTtizME lol do you have evidence to support this or is it perception?
@@scottsong20 It is quite well documented. When the motoring public notices a stroke with a white golf hat driving a Ridgeline...well they are immediately enraged and God knows what will follow. Hey, I am doing a public service here SingSong.
@@RLTtizME lol too muck TMZ
@@scottsong20 I don't watch TMZ all the muck. Are you a backwards hat?
I’d much rather an old school squarebody
I know complaining about price that’s inflation for you
Bingo! Why do so few people seem to understand that it is less about vehicles being worth more than it is about our money that we use to measure their value being worth less because the government is stealing it from us? I guess a constantly shrinking yardstick is hard to comprehend.
20k out the door taxes and fees
I'm buying anew Toyota champ for 10k + 5k in mods
Not even out yet and Toyota will mark it up
@@atg1338 it's been out the shipping world wide 1200 Toyota discount $800
Santa Cruz is an all around better vehicle and has a significant better warranty.
The hybrid is the ONLY reason to get a Maverick. Otherwise you’re better off with body on frame truck.
good price, fair, but honda is honda even if you have to pay extra...
LIES, 27K for a Lariat? That's bullshit. Put a disclaimer that you misspoke.
Yeah, prices are getting ridiculous
It’s very nice! I like it!
No front camera or parking sensors for that price. At least Ford threw in Michelin tires. Woohoo!
I got that exact model to tow motorcycles. 2k isn't quite enough, I need about 4k. I want AWD to get around in light snow. Also, I wouldn't buy a hybrid unless it was super fast and could power a house in a power outtage or had an actually benefit. I like having the stop and go adaptive cruise with lane centering for rush hour traffic.
it is not a truck if it does not have a separated bed from the cab period.
Will the transmission last longer than 65k miles? Last Ford I had transmission blew up. Started having transmission issues within 30k miles. Dealership said it was fine. Once warranty was out suddenly it needed to be replaced according to dealership. Ford also new they had issues with cam phasers and wouldn’t cover those being replaced either. Poor customer service. Tried to get help from cooperate but didn’t get much help. Went to service manager wife got yelled at. Went to General manager who was professional but response I got was “people make mistakes”. I appreciated the apology from the general manager however will most likely not own a FORD again.
That 8 speed has been around for years. Plenty to go look at with over 100k on them.
Price as tested $37,000…stop right there, end of video
I wouldn’t pay more than 25k for this
