Plumbing basics in this video....but what would you do???

  • @paulsmith2931

I’ve been self employed now for 20 years and have found out that as much as you look after customers, that time your unavailable, away on holiday and they get someone else you won’t hear from them again, happened a few times now for customers I’d had for years, so now I won’t put off a day out with the family for work.

Always good to have new customers, great work again Mark. As a non plumber you always seem to make it look easy, press fit earned its keep again, with that water passing 👍

  • @juliestreet8688

Got a call from 7 customers in a week all in the same mill conversion where the bungs had been fitted on the inside and once the washers started draining they either tripped out or flooded the flat. Had a full day then of going round about 30 new flats sorting them out 😂😂

"Me and the Mrs were getting ready to go out for a meal and a drink, then the phone rang!" ..... Looks like you were saved by the bell Mark, you workaholic! Great vid mate.

  • @tkthebear984

Another splendid job Mark. That was a strange waste configuration originally, but it looks 100% better now and easier to maintain 🙂👍

  • @rickystephenson518

I prefer bung on the inside. But the dunkoffs I work with would never check . So outside = no call backs, hopefully.

Great video again you certainly are a dedicated Plumber to your customers. They are so grateful to have you that’s what is all about networking. Thanks again.

  • @shaunmcc9861

    Great workmanship Mark as usual....

  • @SteveHit1

Great video and perfect results for your customers.

  • @johnboy2984

Hi Mark. Wow two nice easy jobs for a change. Apart from missing out on your meal. Have a good week mate 👍

  • @mattundercoat

Thanks for that, Mark: a tidy couple of jobs. The weird thing about those hose spigots is that all the manufacturers seem to have gone out of their way to provide a bung that fits equally well inside and outside. I think they just like stirring up trouble!

  • @chrisholt2474

Hi Mark, another great film thank you, yep bung on the outside for me, so it can clearly be seen by all.

  • @UKMadMike

I'm one of those people that have took a waste trap off and emptied it in the sink that I just took the trap off 😂

  • @brianmckenna3440

    Nice one Tiff

  • @andyroberts9562

    Top work as usual

  • @johncford3957

It's interesting that the dishwasher "bung" has an open end, also a trap for each basin is different from the way it's done here in North America. here you cut the end of the "bung" when you are installing the dishwasher.

    Nice little job 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿👍👍👍👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Being a bit of a saddo, I did a little experiment once ie 2 traps vs 1 trap (both mcalpine kits). Customer had complained that smaller sink was draining more slowly after I put 2 traps on. Sure enough it drained 50% quicker when I changed it back to 1 trap. Only reason I could think of was the single overflow hole acts as an airflow inlet/outlet for both sinks. And so doesn't work properly if they both have traps on?
