    🤯🤯🤯PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS TABLE
    I wish I didn't watch this video. I bought this table as a result. I'm short and it's still not tall enough for standing. Also, the table height needs constant adjustment as it keep slipping down to a lower height. Please look at other options especially if you have strength issues in your had as you will need to do regular tightening.

      I’m sorry this didn’t work for you, but I thank you for sharing your issues with it. If I could afford it, I probably would buy something nicer. To be fair, even though I did use this table as a standing table while working from home during COVID, I usually use it sitting now. It works for me, but I do agree that everyone should do their own research before buying. I pinned your comment to this video so others can see what are some potential issues.

      @@stepheninks I wanted to buy this table but this comment concerned me.. Is it true that it keeps slipping down to a lower height? Did it do that to you?

    • @stepheninks
      @stepheninks  Год назад +1

      @@ZacharopoulosKto be completely honest, I didn’t know about the issue because I prefer the table at the lowest setting. The adjustment knobs are held in place by friction, so it is possible that it would do that, but how I use it, it wouldn’t create that issue for me. For context, I’m 6’1 (186 cm) and can sit comfortably at this table without issues. I have used it every time I draw for this channel for the last 2 years.
      But if you’re concerned about it sliding down, considering the comment above, I might consider spending more money on something nicer. I get nothing from the company that makes this table, and it works for me, but I don’t want to lead anyone astray.

      @@stepheninks Thanks for your reply. I'm 180cm, so maybe it's good for me too. I live in Greece, and honestly I can't find something similar here, and I like it as I see it.

    I went the opposite direction. I used to have a drawing table exactly like you just bought. I switched to a long white table like you just retired. I do also have a big ol' easel, but lately I only use it when my back hurts from leaning over the table too much. I can't work at the table more than about 2 hours.
    I attach the paper to a drawing board, so I can turn it around to the most convenient angle.

      I still do a lot of drawings in my bedroom, sketchbook propped on my knees!
      With how busy I am these days, 2 hours of drawing is an absolute win!

    I was thinking to buy a drawing board that you can put on the desk, but this looks good too. I might buy this kind of table. Thank you for your review! + I love the drawing you made for your dad. It's nice to see the drawing in action :)

    • @stepheninks

      I think it’s all dependent on where you like to create. This desk has made it a lot easier to have better quality videos when I create for my channel. I would probably like the idea of a drawing board if I had a good desk to begin with... but I only had that ugly table... which isn’t even mine. I had to borrow an ugly table just to come as far as I have!

    • @studiomiroa
      @studiomiroa 3 года назад

      @@stepheninks hahah, an ugly table is not very inspiring to make art indeed!
      When you use watercolour, do you use a side table for the water bottle? I guess as the table is angled, it's not possible to keep the bottle on the table.

    • @stepheninks
      @stepheninks  3 года назад

      @@studiomiroa sad to admit that I don’t use watercolor as much as I would like to... but I also use the eldest flat more often than angled, so that issue hasn’t come up yet. I do have a little corner desk in that room, so I could do that too. I suppose it’s the same sort of problem you face when drawing in plein air. Just finding a flatish surface that you’re not going to accidentally kick over.

    Great looking table! I've thought about getting one of these, but because the majority of my illustration work needs to be done digitally, it's hard for me to justify making the space for it. Still - they look so useful!

    • @stepheninks
      @stepheninks  3 года назад +1

      Yeah, I hear ya. I personally didn’t have a desk at all, so this seemed like a decent choice. It has proved to be sturdy for digital things. It holds my entire distance learning setup, including 2 computers, a heavy condenser microphone, 2 notebooks, and an upside down fish tank (long story). Not every artist needs a desk, but if ever one was needed, this one works great.

      Thanks for letting me know about the links. I’m not sure why, but I can’t seem to fix it...
      I’m hoping that my audience will support a wider range of videos on the theme of pen and ink/art. I’ll be hopefully branching out soon!
