The plant that you couldn’t recall the name is Anthurium - it’s one of my faves at home. I absolutely love it. Your home is too beautiful. Haven’t finished this video but can’t wait to hear more PhD/post doc updates and hope you’ll be sharing more news soon ❤️
Learnt to disinfect and break down stains on surfaces too during the pandemic using bleach. The smell of bleach though can leave your home smelling like a hospital!! A drop or 2 of essential oil (stay away from citrusy ones) will help with the smell of the bleach. Also using a spray bottle might be a little easier than a bowl? Lol
Perhaps disinfecting your house is good in a pandemic but in normal circumstances it's bad for environment because it just means the bacteria evolve to be better at fighting against disinfectants and in terms of health it's better for us to build immunity by being around a few different types of bacteria.. bringing up a child in a anti septic environment is bad for his health...
When I first traveled to Nairobi(8yrs ago) they had so many advertisements for antibacterial soap I was confused. Regular soap & hot water is plenty. Or clean with vinegar & hot water. I grew up using Clorox, I don't use it now as an adult.
Really I thought you were not coming back soon. Welcome am happy to see a video from you

Good tip. Thanks!
Haifa, Ijeoma, you returned? I didn't make it to come there post lockouts and what have you. Still here in AtL
Welcome back to kenya
Disinfectant is the new norm now. Covid-19 has taught us to be more cautious and to take more sanitary practices more seriously.
Love Clorox but I am tired of ordering them off Amazon! Are they being sold in Kenyan stores now?
Yeah the bottle looks different but Clorox is also sold in Nairobi!
@@IjeomaKolaYT I meant Clorox wipes not the bleach. Of course the bleach is in stores. The wipes was my question…my bad
Ahh nope those my parents brought with them when they visited in December
Did they ship them ? Because I am planning of coming home and I want to bring stuff with me but if they have them there I don't need to do so.
Yes at carrafeourr
Loved the video girl. How long are you planning to stay in Nairobi for?
Just a few weeks 😭 but I’ll be back during schools breaks

@Ijeoma, is this your dala home or Nairobi home?
Dala? This is my Nairobi apartment!
Chorlox is definitely a oldie yet goodie cleaning product. Just be mindful of toxins. Tfs
