- My best friend came to visit me for my birthday and had the honor of being our first official guest! I had just one day (which turned into two) to put together a basement guest bedroom from scratch, and while it was stressful, I'm happy with what I was able to accomplish with very little prior planning and just a few shopping trips! Make sure you watch to the end where I get my bestie's raw reaction to the space LOL!

Interesting! I was actually quite happy in Kenya and want to move back. I just didn’t know where to buy stuff since I was new and bc of postpartum & COVID didn’t have the time/ability to build out my networks/explore to find easy access to things that bring me joy like decor. I was also renting so couldn’t paint entire walls black and have creative freedom with decor the way I have right now

This is so amazing..simple and so unique. I especially liked the touch of black to mimic the headboard might just try that out for my home.
