    Thanx fr all info.
    1) Fr the last 30 years - China/Japan & South Indians are influenced by western diet, so nowadays the people are obese.
    2) In South India, last 5-7 years, there are options now - no need to eat white/ processed/ polished rice.
    3) Very very traditional rice varieties in red/ brown/ cream & black colours are available. They are grown in Chennai.
    4) These have the full grain intact with the bran. The taste is different - you need to get used to it. Goes well with all gravies & stews like Dal/ Channa/ Rajma/Sambar/ Rasam/ Avial etc.
    5) Soak it overnight - (8) hours. Wash well - Cook it in traditional method - open pan with lid method. No need to remove starch.
    6) Some of the varieties are -
    Karup Kavuni/ Mapillai Chamba/Poongar/ Navara rice/ Rajamudi/ Khichali Chamba/ Thuya Malli rice/ red rice/ Moongil - bamboo rice/ Kullakkar rice/ Kattuyanam rice etc.
    (Pls. Note - Bamboo rice is heat - so eat less often).
    7) They are expensive than white rice but cheaper than your medical bills!
    8) Do try them & check out if it works fr you.
    9) Maybe online order will work.

    Sir bilkul sach kaha aapne...main gujrat se hu aur gujrat me genhu jyada khaye jate hain...maine apni diet s3 genhu ko bilkul out kiya 4 mahine tak aur mera weight jo 76 se 78 rehta tha kam hi nahi ho raha tha sirf genhu chhodke chawal khaya to mera weight 10 kg kam hua ..aur kuchh bhi nahi kiya sir aur ye mera experience sab ke sath shre karti hu jo bhi weight kam karna chahte hain aaj mera weight 66 kg hai...

    Very true. Wheat roti is the biggest culprit for most of the diseases in North India.
    Last few years I am on 1roti whole day more rice and vegetables.
    Sprouts in the morning for Protein I never gain weight 😊 I look younger than my age. I don't say this but people.😜

    Yes Sir, I fully agree with this. Thank you for this video, it cleared my recent confusion regarding choosing the right grain for good health. I love eating rice since childhood, but recent promotion of millets being the best health food had weakened my belief & experience of so many years !

    Sir ji Thank you. In addition what you highlighted is the important point about eating rice with vegetables 🥗 instead of channa rajmah etc. I have always highlighted the fact that khichdi is the best health food 🍲 and yet always overlooked as बीमारों का खाना । अगर वो बीमार को अच्छा कर सकता है तो सेहतमंद को भी खाना चाहिये ।

      Western people and doctors do not consume Pulses/ Daal with Rice/ Chawal. It is not in their custom or food habit to cook and consume Daal with Chawal.

    daal mai imli na add kare per you can add Apple Cider Vinager... home made on You-tube many videos of how to make Acv.... i had Knee and heal pain but after using ,i stop using dahi,lemon and imly ... and when i started use home made Acv in daal dhokla khaman ...it goes good with knee and heel ...even to fermantate pizza dough and naan dough i use Acv ...Acv is pro-biotic....And if you use tomatoes and cucumber remove seeds ...seeds are too acidic ...

    I really don't agree as most rice is generically modified except certain strains like pusa 1979 etc and pesticide full after the green revolution so unpolished rice or hand pounded rice is a better alternative
