    Mam....unpolished rice when cooked without pressure cooker and drain the starch water......the best way to take fibres rice...

    Cooked rice just contains simple starch. It is converted into resistant starch only after keeping it in refrigerator for 10-12 hours. Otherwise it will not help in weight loss.

    Thank you so much madam for proving to us that Rice is not a ghost.
    you must be knowing how important the rice is for South Indians... especially for Coastal Andhra people those who do not add even a single chapathi or poori for lunch or dinner..
    We eat only rice in lunch and dinner... Telangana people might eat chapathi for lunch or dinner but not people of Andhra Pradesh..
    Till now, I was so sad to know that Rice has to be avoided to be healthy.
    After knowing from you the benefits of rice, now i will eat rice happily..

    I have read that the starch in the rice/potato becomes resistant starch when cooked rice / potatoes kept in the fridge. Resistant starch is good for our gut microbiom. Even after warming up the cold rice / potatoes retain the resistant starch.

      No No . Only intermitted fasting is the best way to lose excess weight ,means 18-20 hours of fasting and 4-6 hours of eating without sweet and carbs . This is the bestest way to lose fat

    Thanks for first time someone said in gms how much rice to be eaten. Raw rice 30g and cooked 100g. Could you say the same for dal, vegetable and curd-- in gms. Katori size differs in each household. Once measured in gms then one figures out the amount and bowl size.
