- Today we are using the Flex Hone ball honer to deglaze the cylinder walls of the junkyard D16Y8. Also we are gapping the Hasting piston rings and connecting the rods and pistons. I did 20 and 22 and the oil.rings landed from.the box between 21 and 24 I ran them the way they came and it runs great
Hey I want to clean my cylinder wall on my b18. I want to keep it stick bore. What size flex hone do I need?
what’s the link to those piston rings? like a part number? the ones i have are way out of spec, that’s how they came
I used this honing method and it made the diameter way out of spec.

I just searched p2p0 d series on ebay. I think speed factory is back in stock though.

which master rebuild kit did you order?
The P2P0 rod and piston kit. It came with hasting piston rings. I ordered the ACL bearings on amazon.
On a stock engine do you need to gap them
If you're referring to the ring gap, not at all. Follow the service manual specs.
I didn’t see you lube the hone / cylinders. Were you told not to or was that maybe done earlier?
