    Tbh I think devs are going the wrong way, players don’t want classes to be nerfed, they want more enemies for players to go through on survivals per area. Some of the builds were so cool, I don’t mind if a Sam takes out loads of enemies with the fire class and ult combined, I just want the extra enemies on top of that for the rest of the squad to take out.

    Basically they want all classes running Spirit Kunai and Smoke Bomb with Munitions, that's what it boils down to from what I see.

    8 out of 10 nm survival matches I play, we end up 2-3 people. I think this patch helps a lot people like me who mostly play with randoms.

      I get this a lot too. Not sure what happens. I believe folk leave if they don’t see a Ronin (but I’m always ronin). But folk leave after say 2 minutes. And always get a leaver if someone goes down - because yeh like every run has to be perfect, like we are getting a top 10 score. No.

    Guys I’ll say it again. Give samurai MOBILTY and FASTER MELEE!!! Range is EXTREMELY DOMINANT AND BORING TO PLAY ALONGSIDE. If you play range all power to you but 9-10 I will just sit on a zone while they play for me because I literally cannot compete. Samurai needs a free super sprint that allows them to get around faster, faster climbing and just have faster melee attacks. Buff their passives! Health and melee damage should go together and not separate. Instead of 10% damage it should be 20 to 25%. It’s skills need to be reworked to be compelling because no proper legends samurai will use deflect arrows or parry for health. Assassins should have the ability to teleport from rooftop to rooftop and off grappling points and speed up they’re assassinations even faster!!!!!!! Why did they nerf SAMURAI!? Most of my gameplay is running from zone to zone to fight one or two enemies because my ranged teammates have already murdered most of em. DONT NERF the other classes because Samurai suffer. BUFF THEM ALL and increase THE DIFFICULTY. Geez it’s so easy!

    It became samurai game where no one uses sword. Everyone are spamming bombs, ghost weapons and arrows. I have samurai melee build, but it's unusable in groups, because while you actually fight the enemy your team mates just wipe them out with two black powder bombs.

      I got a Samu melee build and actually having fun with it. No bombs, but with gourd and 2 extra resolve for the hachi rage. Melts Onis, and the fire just takes care of the regular ones. Agreed tho, it's tough to play against mates who wipes waves with OP ghost weapons.

      Sounds like a gold survival problem to be honest. Try playing some nightmare if you haven't already. Unless you're some kind of nightmare Jesus I find that people killing entire waves with ranged weapons doesn't happen so easily on nightmare modes...That being said, I noticed this was a huge problem on gold. Especially with a team of great players that should probably be playing nightmare. Imho of course.

    I wish they added some sort of buff for the samurai for people that like to fight with just melee attacks cause ranged weapons dominates legends.

      Yeah it is much needed. Well melee resolve scales with all the characters. I think if only samurai maybe resolve gain that increases with rising tempo?

      @@GooshyG I think buff parry window or make all red attacks silver (not the aoe slams though). Actually push melee combos. I think spamming your ult is still sorta avoiding having to actually fight

      Well the flame shit will be trash soon. Maybe they should nerf the game where everyone just dont want to play anymore. Nerfing limits playstyle to a few boring ones that only cater to a few players.

    I really hope that they did not remove the ability to teleport with the Assassin! That is one of my favorite features in this class, specially in maps with verticality like in the case of "Shores of Vengeance".

      Instead of skipping dart, I'd rather have a blowdart that releases poison gas after killing a poisoned enemy and it spreads to others while you're immune to it.

      @@GooshyG I think they secretly nerfed duelist / support assassins.
      This patch note: Shadow Strike now scales slightly with Stealth Attack Damage + the invisibility. I think assassins ult no longer scales of the melee dmg / melee stagger dmg .
      It's now incredibly hard to stagger in ult form testing with a demon cutter and it barely ever procs.

    3:11 Hahaha thanks for the shoutout Goosh. I'm hoping Deft hands could be the quick assassinations that Jin has in the main story. I guess these nerfs are reasonable. Still am a firm believer in the philosophy of more buffs than nerfs like ArcSys for DBFZ, cause I think that makes games more fun. But either way I'm trusting SP are making good decisions. If they nerf the targeting for the assassin's ult, then soloing raids may be impossible now 😔 but either way I can't wait to see what's in store. Fingers crossed it won't be a disappointing time like pre-Iki Island. Btw love that this whole video is you, me, and Mr Indigo in our 2v1 session 💯😎🌶

      @@Carts45 never usually the type to respond to comments, but honestly it irks me when people think I don't understand the context of how things are intended to be played by developers. I know Legends is meant to be played alongside other people. Raid, survival, rivals, story, all of the content is meant to be played with someone else or a group. Everyone understands that, but everyone who's played it knows how everything goes. I've played all the content countless times with multiple different people and it's the same thing over and over, and honestly it's all cake walk. Soloing each and every piece of content isn't what the devs intended, but that in itself is an even harder challenge compared to playing alongside other people.
      I play super smash bros melee, and I'm from NorCal. Sounds irrelevant to ghost of tsushima, but the thing is melee has a booming scene not just in Northern California but worldwide for over 20 years because of a scene that developed outside of the intentions of the developer Sakurai. Melee was intended to be a party game, but has survived as a competitive esports game that thrived on tech the developers had no idea that was in their game besides wavedashing. And if you ask me, Nintendo is the selfish one and wants melee completely out of the picture, probably off the face of the earth. So idk who's more selfish there, the players or Nintendo? Melee still matches the viewership, sometimes even surpasses the viewership of the new Smash Ultimate.
      Yeah melee is unrelated to ghost, but seeing as I play both games, one at a high level the other at an above average level with a mid-tier character, all I'm saying is that I know how games are meant to be played, but going outside the intended design just spices things up and you play a whole different game entirely. I've already played the game the intended way, just showcasing what you can do. All power to Sucker Punch really, they can do as they please, and I'll do as I please in how I play. I respect what they do seriously 💯 but if you don't like the fact that something can be soloed, I can't change your mind on that. I don't have a problem with people playing things the intended way, just here to say lots of people have been there and done that already

    I've always repped the samurai no matter what as it's my favourite class and I understand raging flame was OP but they nerfed it too hard, it should have kept its duration at 20 secs, 11 plus almost a minute CD is a bit much ESPECIALLY when the hunter with SSB and bottle of courage is STILL broken! I'm happy assassin got buffed but they nerfed my boy a bit too hard 😧

    Raging Flame nerf is so excessive. They could’ve left the duration alone. SP should’ve never created Liquid courage if they were going to make it completely useless in the end. Overall lots of good stuff but the nerfs will eventually be the death of the game

    This plays right into my hands. Been playing only assassination assassin in rivals and nightmare survival very effectively with min-maxed gear to stealth damage. If the order change of perks doesn't take anything crucial away then I'm golden 🙌 and since epic Gourd doesn't seem to drop for assassins in rivals (yes, I've accumulated about 200 legendaries and no Gourd) this is another step up

    I think they should add a new oni enemy type. I know they added new enemies from that were from the dlc but it would interesting if they made an oni version of the shaman. Maybe new stronger variations of the current oni too with new abilities or attacks.

      Shoguns fortitude is a really good under used charm. You don’t have to worry about any of the blinding or poisonous bodies during boss waves in survival and you can just face tank everything while everyone else is running away

    I noticed in single player they added more stealth kill animations which I was pleased to see. It seems to be more situational now. Great news to me cause watching Jin do that neck jab for the 100th time got old and made stealth not quite as enjoyable.

    The nerf to Bottle of Liquid Courage should not have been related to the top amount of resolve you could get, but rather a sliding probability scale for how much resolve you could get. High probability of getting 1 resolve, medium probability of getting 2, low probability of getting 3...

    Seems like they are focused on improving the fight over improving what you can do to avoid the fight....when you can throw 12 bombs plus 2 BPBs at enemies as soon as they spawn, you don't need to focus on your build or technique...just load up on bombs everybody and throw at the spawns...so now it seems like you won't be able to catch them as they spawn all bunched up together. You have to actually fight now. Which is good because my sword play is second to none

    One thing I noticed was when purifying cursed gear, black powder bombs would help for ghost weapon kills, but if the curse involved using the weapon, you didn't get affected. For example, a kunai would cause lightning to strike you, but throwing a black powder bomb wouldn't. Kinda funky (but also happy for it lol). I wonder if they discovered this and fixed it.

    The bug where the enemy doesn’t attack is when one would just stand at the spawn for no reason, and you’d have no idea where this “last guy is”

    In my opinion the raids needed adjusted more than what actually got adjusted, mainly the second one. It is way to long, for the rewards you get. It should probably be split up into two or three raids. An option to replace people that leave in a raid would have been nice too since a player leaving at the end means you can't even finish it. This is not a games as service game, unless they release actually new content the average player will get bored and be done with legends in a few months since the only thing that you and 4 friends can do casually together is Survival.
    I don't understand the constant nerfs these companies do in general, if you want to balance, they should buff stuff that needs it and leave the things people are enjoying alone. The burning blade buff is dumb because spread of it never seemed equivalent to a bomb pack or god forbid the hunter explosive arrow radius stat.

    I don’t understand all the nerfs, it’s co-op multiplayer ffs. How about these only apply to Rivals, the only competitive mode. My favorite part of legends is creating builds that are as over-powered as possible and this kind of takes away from that.

    Suckerpunch should adapt warframe survival mission. To see how far up the chain level a team can push. Assassin should initiate the first stealth kill then open up the window to teleport chain assassinate 5x. Once again, nerfing means goodbye ghost of tsushimi

    The epic gourd would only give you the first resolve though. Liquid courage would fill any resolve meter, and still have a chance to fill two

    Hear me out, SP should add legendary cursed items. Once purify a cursed items player could unlock the cursed item true power. For example one of the cursed item whenever player use ghost weapons the user get hit by lightning but once the cursed item is purify. The player still get hit by lightning on use ghost weapons but 5 near by enemies also get hit with the lightning too.

    Yeah the cool down nerf for raging flame killed it. And liquid courage should have been changed to only be able to be used when missing health. As you said, the change they went with made this legendary useless.

      @𓁹 I literally have a friend who said that he couldn't believe he could wipe out a wave by himself on gold. Despite not being good at the game since he's more casual than I am.
      Example, the duration of it was insane. Why does it have 20 sec when spirit pull and explosive blade only has 11?
      That's an obvious sign that the skill was overtuned.

    I don't like it when a game makes you weaker so it's fair to the enemies.
    But I love it when it throws more and tougher enemies while still letting you be a badass.

    This game has been out over a year. Why the extreme nerfs and changes now. Shouldn't they be working on Ghost of Tsushima 2? I was out-killing hunters with the Assassin. This is over kill.

    Nice, nerf Samurai so everyone goes back to Ronin and still delete everyrhing with bombs, thanks Sucker Punch, you accomplished nothing. I would have been fine with taking Forbidden Medicine from Samurai if they had left Raging Flame alone. Assassin needed a buff, just slightly tho. I mainly use Forbidden Medicine for heals, Liquid Courage was gonna get nerfed, I saw that one coming for sure. Eventhough you can equip it to any class, and you can double ult on certain classes without having Liquid Courage equipped.

      Hunters and samurais were used to be on par, now hunters are outperforming samurais on a great scale from what ive seen on my multiple NMS matches.

    Wow. Suckerpunch going way too hard with nerfs. I was using liquid courage exclusively for keeping my ammo stocked on Sugaru's sight, since it's extremely ammo intensive, with there also being far less ammo offerings on survival maps too, my entire build is no longer really viable. With also having painful nerfs to the samurai, my second favourite class, this might just kill the game for me. I don't want to be grinding out another several thousand honour and loot drop rng just to try and cobble together something as viable.

      @@GooshyG i mean... yeah... but the black powder bombs are really useful only on the ronin, due to the ability that increase ghost weapon damage... for the samurai and the assassin was more of a concussion need to build resolve and now it's no more since you've only 6... i don't think black powder bombs are that effective on the other classes except the ronin... this is a really big patch in my opinion for the samurai and the assassin, but almost useless for the ronin and the hunter... but i'm a noob, so it can be the stupidiest opinion in the world :D

      @@archiebeach9153 i have it on the samurai but they're too few and not as effective to build resolve... they do some damage but it's like a one-shot thing, expecially for non-ronin classes... i find them more useful for glithes and skip-levels than anything else hahaha

      @@giuseppepaolini6754 really not true. Like in the slightest. Black powder bombs (even without gwd buffs) give double the resolve of concussion bombs per hit, at around 15%.
      They are literally the best way to build resolve. Max radius increase, max damage increase and they’ll nuke a wave and give you the majority of resolve for your ult.
      That’s the facts right there. 15% of a resolve bar per hit, get in a group of enemies and throw 2 and you’ll have almost 3 resolve easy, if not 3 outright.

    I like that they nerfed "Liquid of Courage". Once again goes back to people wanting to "make the game easier" and are straying away from playing with strategy by simply clicking L1 + R1 together for majority of the game. It loses the essence and art of it being a samurai game, regardless of the "special abilities". I think this patch is honestly awesome. Folks need to start enjoying being CHALLENGED for once in their life lol.

      i mean with the iki island changes: increased ki and 2nd perks, enemies weren't tuned to match OUR buffs. i'd rather have better enemies than limited choices in gear

    They should add a penalty system for quitting. An increasing hold on play (that refreshes every day) starting at 30 minutes for 2 quits within a 20 minute period or 2 consecutive quits. Or a simple you quit 10 times in a day you are done for the day.

    @Gooshy: They nerf and buff to balance the game, so when u think why they buff something that people never use BEFORE, they actually do it to encourage ppl to use that AFTER this. And u will see various builds from now on, they're changing the game literally dude, we're just the players.

    They get rid of gate skips but not moon master cancel? Using MMC is an exploit just like emotes and gates. It gives an unfair advantage but is kept in the game. Why? Is it because the top of the leaderboards is filled with people doing MMC and SP don't want to p*** them off?
    I'd love your thoughts on this. Great vid as always.

      MMC is different for a few reasons.
      1. It requires far more skill to pull off than using an emote to slip past gates.
      2. They didn’t change the auto aim exploit, why would they change MMC?
      3. They can’t get rid of MMC without changing how the whole melee system works. It works based upon the principle of being able to cancel heavy attacks so as to not get hit by attacks already in motion. In order to get rid of MMC, they’d need to rework the whole swordplay system: first, you’d need to remove the ability to cancel heavy attacks so as to avoid damage. Therefore, you’d need to change the game’s enemy AI as a whole, too-otherwise, they’ll just punish you for something you used to be able to avoid, which you now can’t due to the change in the system.
      These two changes together would completely trivialise swordplay in both Legends, and base Ghost. Boring, and not worth it. Therefore, MMC has to stay it would seem.

While I get they're different issues, they're still exploits that unbalance the game. Raging flame is strong, but pales in comparison to how strong mmc is but that gets a nerf?

      @@bramblejazz5940 I won’t lie to you. Raging Flame was most definitely better than MMC. Like it isn’t even a contest.
      Raging Flame still didn’t deserve nearly as much of a nerf as it got, but it’s definitely stronger than MMC, which can be blocked and attacked through.
      I also don’t think you understand the magnitude of the shit they’d have to rework to get rid of MMC. They’d have to change the entire melee combat system-one of the biggest and most complex parts of the game-in order to get rid of MMC. It wouldn’t even feel like the same game with the amount of mechanics they’d have to change. So no, it will not be going any time soon.
      It’s the same for the auto aim exploit. What are you gonna do, stop people using auto aim from aiming up? What if they wanted to track onto a different target? “Too bad”?
      You can fix a glitch. You can balance an intended change. You can’t fix an exploit without reworking game mechanics. Way too much work to get rid of two things that require a lot of skill to use and pull off, when people could just accept that they’re not even the end all be all of the game.
      Hell, MMC doesn’t even synergise properly with Raging Flame! It doesn’t count as a full heavy attack, so the fire doesn’t spread to nearby enemies.
      You gotta stop complaining about it. It’s not gonna be fixed because it can’t really be fixed. It also requires skill to the point where it may as well be an actual technique. You can still die on this hill of course-it’s just completely pointless to.

      @@archiebeach9153 I'm no game developer but pretty sure you could just double tap to roll out of an attack to cancel it, if you want to avoid being hit. So maybe not as much work?
      How about making it a technique then to make it more balanced? That way you have yo pick between perks.

      Anyways I guess I rely on the raging flame with blessed strikes and liquid courage to much better experiment with a different build, it’s helped a lot with survival mode tho taking a whole wave on nightmare while my team defending the other places

    well Kunai builds will return now.
    The better the payoffs in class abilities the better is -10 seconds.
    Liquid Courage is not dead. You get resolve added. 2 resolves are more than enough to keep constant ults.
    With resolve gain perk you recharge so quickly you pnly might notice a difference when running builds with 5 resolve.

    If you’re actually good at the game, these nerfs shouldn’t affect you. Most people complaining about these nerfs, did not play the OG days when nightmare survival actually meant something and was more difficult at 25 waves. Those survival games took about 45 mins to an hr average. The goal of this game is to learn how to combat and perfect parry. Im all for these nerfs since it will make the game more difficult and more strategy based. Sam and Assasi bomb spamming was annoying. Even before this nerf, I never used bombs for those two classes. Liquid courage isn’t that bad of a nerf. Use it along with ranged resolve gain and injured resolve gain and BAAM, it’s like nothing happened.
    This update will show who’s good at the game and who’s not and I’m all up for it

    This is the greatest game to ever be released (in my opinion) It would be great if Sucker Punch just kept adding DLC chapter's to this beautiful Japanese game. But! That stupid yellow bird needs to go. The amount of times that bird has run straight into walls, house's, fences, tree's, cliff's. I'm surprised it's still alive. I watched it fly around in a circle for about 5 minutes one day. If nothing else, that bird has great stamin.

      Some things need nerfing. This muliplayer doesn't need a bunch of op stuff. You can beat nightmare with a good team without much problems. If your struggling you should
      1-Get better builds
      2-Know how to play all classes
      3-Pay attention to what bases are being attacked
      4-Improve your offense & defense
      5-Don't always rush in,especially at low health

    Nah. This is alright. The only thing that pisses me off is trash randoms who dont have near the skill or level for nms. They expect you to carry them. They should only let ppl with 120 ki into. Nightmare. Ik ki doesnt equate skill but if a player has taken the time to lvl up to 120 then they must have some decent knowledge of the game.
