I would bag them. I’ve had some ugly clubs in my life. I had Bombtech wedges that were black and an awful green on back but looked nice when addressing ball, black edges and silver on grooves. Worked good. Could you compare a regular vs. senior flex shaft comparison. I’m a senior losing distance.
I’ve been golfing for almost 40 years and I’ve played with dozens of irons/wedges with every variation of style out there since the 70s and the way the club looks behind the ball has never once even entered my thought process, let alone actually impacted the way I play. I get that we want something pleasing to look at, but it kind of boggles my mind how much emphasis you RUclips guys put on the appearance of the clubs you review. The only appearance issue I’ve ever had is with clubs that are too shiny.
100% agree with you guys. I’m 69 years old and just need to break 90. I couldn’t care less what the damn club looks like. I’m just interested in shooting lower scores. It’s about time these RUclipsrs stop that nonsense about looks and all the other rubbish they talk about. They should just remember who their real audience is, and that’s us 50+ guys.
I currently game the Cleveland CBX full face 2 wedges, I agree they do look bigger and can be a little off putting at first, but my goodness they are forgiving. They allow you to get away with a bit of a chunk without getting too penalised.
You look at the back in store , but does how the back looks really come into your mind when you are hitting a shot? I’ve never thought about the looks of something I cannot see.
Bought the CBX 4 54 and 58. The grips came loose on both after a few rounds. They twisted/rotated on the shaft. First time in 50 years this has ever happened. Had to have both re-gripped. Super Store guy said he couldn't believe it.
Great Review alex...Would like to see what you feel putting these CBX4 up against the Mizuno S 23 wedges which I believe are for the same class of golfers..Thanks....
I play the CB Wedges in the Callaway version. It was a tough choice, but I chose callaway. They are both outstanding. IMO you can't go wrong either way for mid to high handicapper. Makes life easier.....lol
Just put the cbx2 54 and 58 in bag to go with p790s findvthem a lot more forgiving from the vokeys and kirkland wedges I had before. I have the 50 degree in p790s
Love it mate, looks like a pretty good wedge. Though I think the new RTX with grooves all the way to the edge I find a little more confidence inspiring than a thick top-line & cavity back. But that’s just me personally. Cudos on the improved camera work by the way. Much better to see how the ball “bites” on the green. As well as the grooves and the head & shape of the club. 👍👍👍
Used the last model they were great but now and again i would hit an absolute flyer for no real reason. It didnt bother me but then chrome started to peal off parts of the head. Got rid after that.
Great review Alex. Are you familiar with the old Cleveland 588 RTX and 588 RTX CB? If so, how would the CBX compare to the older models? I currently have the 588 RTX CB that need changing so trying to figure out whether to go with the CBX4 or the RTX6. Thx.
CBX and RTX are both fully adequate for any level of play. I've played both to the highest of levels around the greens , don't buy into the CBX is only for mid handicaps.. it's a sham for sales , just cleveland trying to gain an edge on certain markets/demographics of golfers.. there is nothing u can't do with the CBX that you can do with RTX.
idk what happened, but the exposure on this video was too much, hard to see the details of the clubs. Good video though, Cleveland is my go to for wedges.
These kinda comments on looks are why good-looking clubs like the Callaway UW gets a remodel into an uglier gen2 version. Its simple. Functional. Clean. If theres anything I hate is branding and tech splashed all over a club. They could honestly get rid of "zipcore" and it would look even better I've been considering these. I play Fourteen RM-21 wedges. And a Callaway mac daddy PM 60. I just dont wanna lose the ability to be delicate with my 56. A easier to hit 52 would be nice
Impossible? No that's sales talk. A bad swing results in a bad shot regardless of the club and a good swing is down to the golfer not some magical club.
*Would you bag this?! Remember you say what we should try NEXT! so comment here what clubs you want me to try next*

No, they aren't shiny enough. Of course you should bag them! If they perform, use them!
If they perform I’d bag them, where does the Cleveland CBX full face 2 wedges fit in? Are they between the RTX and the CBX4?

Agreed. I like golf very much, but I see golf clubs as tools. Nothing more, nothing less.
Agree , I think it’s an age thing , if a person is age 55 plus the looks mean nothing and function is everything, I am 62.

Looks means a lot, especially to good golfers. Long faces and chunky top lines do matter to people.
I play Clevelnad CBX wedges. Love them!
I think both of the Cleveland wedges look fantastic! My first wedges were their 588 series.
The more improvement built into the wedge design the better for us average golfers. Great looking clubs too!
Totally agree
I just got the 58 degree wedge with the graphite shaft and I ❤it!

Hi Alex, I'm an 18.3 handicapper, and I play the Ripcore RTX 6. I LOVE MY 52, 60 wedges.
Love that Colin!!!
I currently game the Cleveland CBX full face 2 wedges, I agree they do look bigger and can be a little off putting at first, but my goodness they are forgiving. They allow you to get away with a bit of a chunk without getting too penalised.
I’ve got the Cleveland full face two wedges and they are the best thing I’ve bought.
You look at the back in store , but does how the back looks really come into your mind when you are hitting a shot? I’ve never thought about the looks of something I cannot see.
I'm going for the CBX 54
I've tried this wedge. It feels really good. If I needed another wedge I'd consider it.

Loved this review as I am looking for wedges right now! I would have liked to have seen a few full shots with the 50 degree you were using?
Yeah good point i will try and do this in another video

Lol we have the same clubs

Totally agree its a a cracker! did you see the spin??!!!
I have the RTX as well, and as a higher handicapper I find them pretty forgiving and way easier to get out of the sand than any other I have tried.
I have Cleveland UHX irons and have been eyeing these CBX wedges.
How do you find the UHX irons? I nearly picked them up at golfcubs for cash.
I will be happy to take the lower score vs how a club looks.
Used the last model they were great but now and again i would hit an absolute flyer for no real reason. It didnt bother me but then chrome started to peal off parts of the head. Got rid after that.

Great idea it would be good to compare them for sure
I'm a 4 handicap golfer and my short game is very weak, I'm very torn between choosing the CBX4's and the RTX's

I was playing the RTX and just recently started using the zipcore in both the 50 and 56 and I hit more pure shots than I ever did with the rtx
What handicap are you?
@@nisch2379 currently around 14. But some of that has to do with how poor my drives are
idk what happened, but the exposure on this video was too much, hard to see the details of the clubs. Good video though, Cleveland is my go to for wedges.
bravo 👏 👏 👏
I just got the 54 and 60 degree on clearance in Australia.
Got both $79 aud each.
Absolute bargain
must be fake

That’s my club, now go wear it out! 😂
sponsored ? 😏
Nope, none of my videos are sponsored 🙌🏼
