      the video is an ad for American Airlines--not that there is anything wrong with that. but they definitely help edit the videos. RUclips even includes a disclaimer "Paid promotion included" in the beginning of the vids. Still really interesting content though, I love the channel!

      step Good point, Envoy Air’s name does get mentioned a lot in these videos. I’m sure a lot of companies wouldn’t be crazy about their employees making videos while doing their job. Unless those videos somehow promote the company

    As a business traveler who’s flown about 3 million miles, we have the same habits. When I get to a city with a new coworker, one of the first questions you ask each other is if they have favorite places to eat in that city or area of town. Often it’s the same old great places but every once in a while you learn of something new and it’s a great discovery. Once it was a great Chinese place in Paris...if it hadn’t been for my coworker I’d never have had one of the best meals of my life. As a payback, I took a colleague to a hole in the wall BBQ joint in Texas. It was life changing he said. Travel is one of the best parts of life....and food makes it even better. I am so over COVID and not traveling.

      @setharnold9764 3 года назад +2

      I have no personal experience. None.
      With that out of the way, the first I heard about UND's program was in the comments section of this VASAviation video ruclips.net/video/pTpcctMNMYg/видео.html . It's a comment section on the internet, so who knows who is giving opinions and why, but it sounded like they may rush students through. I think I'd want to talk to some pilots, at length, and try to get opinions from folks who went through a program, folks who work with people who went through a program, etc.
      I've always heard pilots like talking about flying and calling your local airport FBO might be a good start.
      It's a lot of money and a huge commitment, it's worth researching.

    • @idontgotnothin
      @idontgotnothin 3 года назад +2

      Before the pandemic, airlines were coming to the flight schools to recruit, it was hard not to find someone to work for after 1500hrs TT. UND should hire you as an instructor when you’re done with training. If not, there are hundreds of flight schools who will hire you. If you don’t want to instruct, if you look hard enough you can find pipeline, survey, ferry and maybe even right seat in someones business jet/turboprop if you know someone. After 500hrs TT even more doors open. At 1500hrs TT right now cargo is hiring with low minimums in jets like 767/777 like Southern and ATI. A lot of charter/private are hiring right too.

    I’ve been a fan of your channel for a while. It was so neat seeing you show up to the gate in Memphis. This was several months ago, but I still think about it. My partner and I were going to visit family in Milwaukee. We had a layover at O’Hare. You were one of the pilots that flew us the leg from Memphis to Chicago. I thought you looked familiar when I saw you, but when the captain said your first name over the PA that confirmed it. Being a fan, I never thought you’d be flying me; so that was super cool. Wish we had more time where I could have just said hello. If our paths meet again, I’ll say hi.

      @@SwayneMartinPilot Most definitely, pal. I was “star struck” lol but also had a connecting fight to get to. You also weren’t wasting any time getting out of the plane. Probably ready to get to the house. But yeah. I fly a few times a year and if you’re ever flying me again, I’ll definitely stop you if just to introduce myself and say hi.

    Can you make a video talking about the math skills you need to fly commercially, as well as real life examples, I'm in high school and i want to know how much math pilots use in the airlines.

    • @avia3455
      @avia3455 3 года назад

      He usually only covers experiences you'll encounter as an airline pilot, and I don't think he's done much of the technical side. All I know is that it's a lot of calculus and math you need to know to be an airline pilot, or a pilot in general. It takes a fast brain and a lot of skill and you have to have it mastered before you get your ATPL license.
      Hope this helps.

    Very true. It can be challenging to be away from family. The best is to have a partner that is independent with their own interests. That way you’re not their main focus 100% of the time.

We've got SO MUCH more than Traverse City; maybe after this whole pandemic blows over you would be able to take a proper vacation here (anywhere in the UP is brilliant.)
