Do you think UND helped get a airline job after college because sometimes I feel all colleges that have pathway programs are sometimes not that real I hope I’m wrong
I have no personal experience. None. With that out of the way, the first I heard about UND's program was in the comments section of this VASAviation video ruclips.net/video/pTpcctMNMYg/видео.html . It's a comment section on the internet, so who knows who is giving opinions and why, but it sounded like they may rush students through. I think I'd want to talk to some pilots, at length, and try to get opinions from folks who went through a program, folks who work with people who went through a program, etc. I've always heard pilots like talking about flying and calling your local airport FBO might be a good start. Before the pandemic, airlines were coming to the flight schools to recruit, it was hard not to find someone to work for after 1500hrs TT. UND should hire you as an instructor when you’re done with training. If not, there are hundreds of flight schools who will hire you. If you don’t want to instruct, if you look hard enough you can find pipeline, survey, ferry and maybe even right seat in someones business jet/turboprop if you know someone. After 500hrs TT even more doors open. At 1500hrs TT right now cargo is hiring with low minimums in jets like 767/777 like Southern and ATI. A lot of charter/private are hiring right too.

It takes a fast brain and a lot of skill and you have to have it mastered before you get your ATPL license.
Hope this helps.
Hi from Paris Swayne, thanks you for sharing life of a pilot. My father and grandpa worked for Air France....planes are in my life for a moment 😁 I love the ERJ and I think that AA livery is one of the most beautiful !!!! Happy New year 2021 !
Haven’t watched it yet, but Ik it’ll be amazing!
Very true. It can be challenging to be away from family. The best is to have a partner that is independent with their own interests. That way you’re not their main focus 100% of the time.
Was waiting for a vid
Sorry it took so long!
@@SwayneMartinPilot no l understand how busy I are
Swayne.... this video is amazing!! That shoot of the camera going from the right side of the pit to the front facing the pilots was beautiful. So glad this video got recommended to me!
Future air traffic control here! Can’t wait to follow my journey
Thank you Swayne for your videos. They helped make 2020 just more enjoyable. And I learned quite a few things in the process. Best to you in your career. Happiness and peace be yours in 2021. Love also.
When you go to Birmingham Alabama you should try out topgolf and rojo
ah yes, Top Golf. Thats definitely a local must-see
Another great video Swayne. Thanks for posting it. Always enjoy watching them. Happy New Year!
It’s my dream to fly for an airline. Thank u so much
You'll love it
Great videos! Watching your layovers in the Midwest makes me feel so relieved that I moved to a warm climate. I hate that cold damp frigid weather. I don't know how you can stand it.
How overnights work: you go to a hotel and sleep. Wow
Yay, I'm glad you were able to enjoy some time in Michigan (my home state)! We've got SO MUCH more than Traverse City; maybe after this whole pandemic blows over you would be able to take a proper vacation here (anywhere in the UP is brilliant.) My hat's off to you, your fellow pilots, and flight attendants; God speed to all of you, I can only imagine what this year has been like.
Traverse is my home town. Nice to hear your favorable comments. It is indeed a special place in the Midwest. Thanks for the informative videos. Very interesting for a non-aviator.
This is so awesome! You are amazing and your friends! Keep up the great work! I am enjoying these videos a lot!
Another great video! We met once at COU and I did some TDY in FSD. Beautiful city.
That sunrise was beautiful.
Great video as always! I just got my PPL and your content has kept me motivated pursuing my airline dreams. Keep up the good work!
Thanks Austin
Swayne, I absolutely love the production quality, thoughtfulness, and insights. Thank you!
Great video! I just passed my Operational Color Vision Test and Medical Flight Test to remove the color vision restriction from my first class medical, and now I can start pursuing an airline career, so this is so exciting for me to watch!
Great video Swayne! I live in the Detroit Michigan area and its super cool that you fly to Michigan, getting my PPL this year thanks for the inspiration
Thanks for your videos Swayne! They really help me prepare myself for what to expect! You keep answering all my questions! Working on my CFI now so I’m getting closer!
Awesome! That's the goal
Great Video Swayne!
Appreciate it!
Luxury to have such a late departure on your second day. My former lots departures were all between 06:00 and 6:45 local wherever the aircraft nightstoped.
Northern MI is absolutely beautiful! Male sure you visit torch lake. Also... watching your videos have really helped keep me motivated. I'm almost finished with my instrument and will be moving right into my commercial! Getting closer and closer to that ATP!
i just started flying lessons and love your videos, keep it up!
I’m glad you uploaded another video. They make my day better when I’m feeling down so thanks ❤️
Thank you for the upload Swayne, have a great 2021!
Edit: saw that little life hack with the clothes hanger in the curtains, very nice!
I love that you chose the town I live in to do a video! I recommend checking it out in the summer! Hope to see you on a flight out to Chicago sometime!
Video is very thorough and good quality. Well done, keep it up! It really gives an insight on working for an airline.
Par excellence! Always a great day when I see a new video from you pop up. Happy new year and thank you for all your effort. Much appreciation.
Your content is impeccably professional. It will be interesting to see if your career stays as airline pilot or shifts into media generator. I can definitely see you as an "aviation contributor" for one of the major networks some day. You explain things so well.
It is always brighter when a video like this comes out. Great Job!
Glad you enjoy it!
Awesome Video. Thank you for taking the time to make it and share it with us all. :-)
Really nice to see you again. I hope you are getting some time on the flight deck. The intervals between videos has me concerned. Thanks for sharing this beautiful video.
