DUNE: Part Two - Main Theme (Piano Version)
    Piano Version by Patrik Pietschmann
Some of you have been asking for it, now you get it! This piano version is based on the tracks "A Time of Quiet Between the Storms", "Beginnings Are Such Delicate Times", "Kiss the Ring", "Only I Will Remain" and "Never Lose Me". Just like with the first DUNE soundtrack, I had my doubts at first whether the original music could translate to piano. The soundtrack is once again very atmospheric, the main theme consists of just eight notes, and it's difficult to identify a clear meter or rhythm. Perhaps, though, that's also why Hans Zimmer has once again managed to create such a unique and emotional soundtrack. Although the new soundtrack also features the familiar musical themes from Part One, I focused solely on the new and prominently used main melody in Part Two. More specifically, this is a love theme that reflects the relationship of the two main characters, Paul and Chani. Fun Fact: The theme was already briefly and inconspicuously heard in the bagpipe scene in the first film. The corresponding track "House Atreides" can be found in Hans Zimmer's "The Dune Sketchbook" from 2021 and already contains the entire melody in a long and similar form to that heard in the second film.
Here is my piano version of the first DUNE soundtrack: • DUNE - Main Theme (Pia...

I love how this theme first appeared in “The Dune Sketchbook” album as a part of the House Atreides theme. It becoming the leitmotif of Part 2 and being played on wind instruments instead of vocals perfectly merges Paul’s legacy as an Atreides and his newly gained Fremen mentality.
I couldn’t imagine that this theme could be arranged for a piano so perfectly. Astounding job 👍

Hey Patrik; I know you probably won't even see this but i want to thank you so much for your hard work in these videos. The hours of practice it takes to play pieces like these helped inspire me to pick up the keyboard. When I was 13, one of my friends showed me your Force Theme from Star Wars and i was amazed by how fluent the piano transcription was. I practiced every day, 2-6 hours for over 4 years. Now i can play your pieces like i always wanted to.
Now a new page in my music life is approaching and i am starting to produce original compositions. Your originals really inspire me to keep making music and give me ideas on how to use instruments. So one more time, thank you so much for giving me that inspiration! Can't wait to see what you do next!

    Hey Patrik,
    LG, Lasse

Mayflies from Our Planet! LaLa Land! Super Smash Bros Ultimate! Legend of Zelda 1&2! 1917! Fawkes Theme from Harry Potter Chamber of Secrets! The Hobbit medley (Lake Town, Mirkwood elves, Tauriel and Kill, Smaug)! Back to the future! Jurassic World (As the Jurassic World Turns)! Kung Fu Panda 2! How to Train your Dragon 3! Evergreen by TSFH! Fantastic Beasts! Avatar the way of water (Leaving Home)! Unbreakable by TSFH! HAHAHA So there are a FEW of my top choices for you to consider if by some magical reason you see this comment! There's so much more amazing music out there! Thankyou for sharing your gift with us!

Hello mr.Pietshmann, I have been listening to your interpretations for quite some time, always more beautiful and more surprising, which launched me on this magnificent path that is music and especially the piano. Every time I sit down at my piano, I tell myself that maybe one day, I will know how to play one of your so many interpretations... I wanted to thank you because you really made me discover a new passion . thank you again and may God bless you.

Wow!

Awesome job as always, Patrik! You capture the beauty of the piano in unique way. I love your style of arranging, and look forward to each new song❤ Hans Zimmer's music is incredible, but I think I like your piano version of this score better than the original😊 Your playing is truly amazing!

If I remember correctly in an interview, Hans Zimmer wanted to compose this theme to convey a sense of longing, and man, I can say that how you sir have arranged it has captured that sense well vividly in the piano. Bravo to you sir!

    Boah!

1:36 Patrik: Hold my sheet music.
But seriously; absolutely gorgeous piece that does the original justice. Bravo Mr. Pietschmann.

Just wanted to say that ever since I discovered your channel back in 2020, I have always gone back to your videos. Every piece you play has real practice and thought put into it, and I hope you continue your amazing work. You've been so much of an inspiration to me, and helped me get through the tough time of my life that was high school.
