Hello @TomMancini out of curiosity which software do you use to arrange your music sheets please ? Also how do you get the dark background and nice looking visuals ? Is it Synthesia ?
@@nicholasarmstrong8994 Hi 👋 I use Logic Pro to record, then use XML file to import to Sibelius and finish the sheet music on there. For the visuals I combine SeeMusic with Final Cut Pro, but you can use any editing software, the SeeMusic software does most of the work for visuals, and you just need to import MIDI.
Hans Zimmer seems to have taken a lot of inspiration from the Dune II video game music, it also has that heavy and slow modulation in it. For 1993, with the limited audio technology at the time it was the most beautiful music you could get out of a computer, and still is aged beautifully today.
That’s interesting. I’ve never heard (or known) about a Dune video game but Hans does seem to take inspiration from previous works quite often (especially his own works😅). Like in interstellar when he imitated chords from previous space movies like 2001: A Space Odyssey and even Star Wars. I agree though his spacing and chordal harmony is amazing in this one!
@@tom.m.manciniThe Dune games are what got me into the franchise. They're real time strategy games made by West Wood, the studio behind the classic Command and Conquer games.
nearly didn't click the video thinking it was just one more cover of A Time of Quiet Between the Storms. OOOH BOI WAS I WRONG! So glad I'm listening to this beauty now

'Dune II The Building of a Dynasty - For Those Fallen' is one of the tunes that stuck to me the most.
I remember. I bought 16bit soundblaster, especially for that game. It was and is still awesome!
