This is a good video. Explained good also! I’m in the middle of rebuilding my motor right now and I didn’t want to take it all the way apart but this video makes me want to do it now. Thanks your awesome
Thank you. Glad this video helped. The only good thing about re doing the motor is that you’ll know everything will be good afterwards. Peace of mind when your out in the trails.
Thanks for the video! Really appreciate the time and explanations on what you have learned doing this rebuild. You must have a twin brother that I know; sound and look just like him.
I used Kawasaki brand for all with the exception of 1 or 2 things they did not have available. I just didn't want to risk it and get something that wasn't up to the Kawasaki standards. I figured that if i go with all kawasaki products that they should work just fine since it was designed for them specifically.
Hey sir I really have 2008 Kawasaki KVF750 Brute Force 4x4i and all it need is the rebuild kit top and bottom and I really wanna get in contact with you I live in West Point Mississippi and ik it’s like 3 hours way but I we’ll drive is long I get it fixed sir hope you reply to me
Hey Max. What happened to your Brute force that you need it rebuild? Im happy to help in any way but im sure you could find someone local that's good and is reliable. Parts are very hard to get now day. This was done a while a go and i believe i spent around $1000 or close to it in parts. Im sure prices have gone up since then. If you like we can talk. send me your email address or number and ill reach out. Sometimes is not the big stuff that gets you but all the small stuff like bearings, gaskets and other little random stuff that you don't think you will need.
how far is you from west point MS i really got the same problem i order the parts and everthing i just cant fined anyone who can do it in a good price and i well drive 3 houres i really need it fix
Sorry I've been crazy busy and I'm just now catching up with all of my messages. My GPS shows 9 hrs and 5 minutes. I'm sure you could do it yourself if you have the tools and a manual but ill help with what I can.
Great video series on this! Just three comments: 1. I noticed you had dog hair on your gloves when you were into the insides and touching those needle bearings. Hopefully you clean everything out real well before sealing it up? Dog hair is murder on some of those bearings. 2. These bikes call for jaso ma oil whether you choose to run dino or syn, even on break-in oil. I think that stuff you used had friction modifiers in it. 3. The slight delay in time between throttle and when the tires moved was due to a fairly loose belt. I would tighten it up a bit. Again, great video and nice work!
Thanks for watching and for the comments. I always welcome new tips and tricks. I did clean everything up good before bolting up everything. A lot of times I end up having to re film things because I forget to hit the record button so sometimes I just run through things quickly. Thanks for the belt tip i eventually got all those little things figured out it just took a little while. Im not to familiar with these Kawasaki's.
I dont remember sorry it was a while ago. the first thing i always do is google a free one and print the pages i need. if that doesn't work i ask a fried on a facebook group. If not i just buy one from ebay
Hello, been watching your tech for a while. TksQuestion: It will not start: with wrong oil filter - it poured out oil from gasket. I replace w/factory , filled oil and it will not start???2003 650 Prairie , 200 hrs. It sparks, trys to start one cylinder when gas in carb, No noises, a compression check w/ weak battery measured 35psi ft & 45psi rear.Suspect front chain tensioner?? if front, any special way install or check or can just R&R. Please let me know thoughts, any ideas Tks, mark / georgetown ca. 7/30/24
I would do a compression test with a fully charged battery that way you know its giving you an accurate reading. If i remember correctly the 650 should be between 47-80 PSI or something like that. I think it not staring is low compression. I would also check your timing.
I found one just by googleing "Brute Force 750 Service Manual" or you can buy one printed here www.ebay.com/itm/Kawasaki-service-manual-2008-2009-BRUTE-FORCE-750-4-4i-KVF750-4-4/264584950847?epid=1132362133&hash=item3d9a7df43f:g:MoEAAOSwDNdVtTkI
Are you referring to the engine case? If so from my understanding both have to be bought together since they are machined as a set. If you use two different cases it could be problematic.
@@awences1 I think they said it’s called the crankcase, the problem I got on my 2015 brute force is that the bolts that hold the belt cover got stuck in the thread only the heads came out a shop was only able to get 5 out the 8
You have to compress the tensioner all the way then you slide a small wire to hold it in place. Once you do that install the tensioner and remove that wire. Once the wire is removed the tensioner will automatically adjust. Hope that answers it for you.
@@awences1 yeah sorry. shortly after making my previous question. I had realized the cylindars were accidentally switched around. I have the motor back together now. however the exhaust valves had gotten stuck in the front head. so that will be another week of waiting
Not sure why that happen. A lot of action cameras are pretty bad with sound and it doesn't help that mine is an older model. So it could have been that.

Thanks for the video, I can use any rebuild kit?? or just kawasaki brand.

You must have one great memory my friend. Excellent job. You seem like a very meticulous mechanic. Again great job. We're are you located.
Thanks, I try and get to it right away instead of letting it sit for a few days or weeks. That way its fresh on my mind.
Where did you source the manual from? I just bought a brute in a million pieces as a winter project.
I found 1 on google for free. downloaded it to my phone then printed what i needed
What is the clutch side called I need to buy one and need to know how much it cost?

how did you put the bottom chain tensioner on the front head? the slide on my 750 will not move, so I can not put the tensioner in.
