History: When the River King Mine Train opened it was really two mine train roller coasters set side-by-side. In 1984 stand-up trains were installed and the name was changed to the Rail Blazer. This became one of the first standup roller coasters in the world. Due to problems with the standup trains, they were removed after the 1984 season and the original trains were put back on the track returning it to it's original state as the River King Mine Train. #SharpProductions #ThemePark

This was my first rollercoaster I ever rode, and no one told me about the last drop, so I refused to get on another for 6 years. I'm really glad I got over that hidden drop.

No. When this first opened in 1971 they had two mine trains side by side. They sold one to Dollywood in 1988, which was later sold to Magic Springs where it's operated since 2002.
This was one of my fav rides when I was little and it's still my fav now!!!!!!

It was originally built as a "twin track". The other track was wilder and I think it is now in South America somewhere after going to Dollywood for a while. This track was used with stand up cars in the mid 1980s....and we all know what a huge success those retro-fits were.
I remember my mom telling me that.
It's actually in Arkansas @ Magic Springs Amusement Park. The Twin Track is called Big Bad John
Yeah, the stand up conversion was called Rail Blazer, and a 45 year old woman fell out of her restraints to her death in the first year of operation.
This was my first coaster i ever rode :)

@FUNNY4732 Yeah, and what a drop it is! I rode this coaster six times when I went there. The old coasters are the better ones.

Everyone ride this at night its so creepy but fun the tunnel is litteraly pitch black and theres no lights on the ride also i found a phone

Actually EXT at Worlds of fun was the first stand up coaster back in 1983. The main reason why they got rid of the stand up cars on Rail Blazer was becuz a woman fell out of the car and fell to her death. The mine train that is still at the park was the same track that had the stand up cars on it. just an FYI.
this is the best ride if you don't like giant extreme coasters but still want the thrill, its nice and smooth.
I dont think so because he took a video of american thunder and i went on that and it had a sign that said no cameras or phones but i bet they let him
@FFHpoison The Ninja may look EPIC.... but it's a headache, back popped out of place, ear busting piece of crap. idk why the park ripped out River King Mine Train side B out and replaced it w/ the Ninja.

the boss is so lit one of the best rides in the park
In the tunnel? Not really that big. But its super fast. So you feel extra scared.
@WolfEverstone yep it's a 40 foot drop. and if u sit in the last 2 seats of the last car u will catch a lot of air time.
I they put all the lift hills together and make 1 lifthill from it they could put a large loop in it ^^

This was my first rollercoaster when i was five and i cried the whole time while my dad was cracking up at me and i was so mad at him but now i can get on this ride without screaming. Fun times.
