I love this coaster it is janky but it’s amazing because if it’s roughness like seriously if you just keep your head back, follow the track,, and sit in a non-wheel seat like row 9. Also this was the first coaster I rode with Inversions back in 2007 and this weekend was the first time I went to SFSL since then. I expected to hate Ninja but ended up loving it.
I actually had my most thrilling experience on this coaster. During the pre-ride check, I had pressed down the restraint on my own, and the attendants did the check while I was still holding it. Turns out the safety ratchet didn't catch properly, and I didn't notice until I was going up and saw it catch much quite a bit away from my body. I wasn't able to force it close to me by the time the first loop started. Whee.
New trains with lap bars only would help this one out. I've ridden it almost every year since 1989 and love it but the harnesses will beat you up a bit. Watch yourself on the exit of the sidewinder, and the final helix.

The ninja is one of my personal favorites. I dont know what it is about the rougher coasters at st louis, i tend to like those more than the rest of them.
Ninja should not be removed and Boss should not be RMC’d Boss and Ninja are literally my 2 favorite coasters at SFSL (even though Ninja ranks 6th for me in the park out of 9 coasters it’s one of my favorite coasters there) I went to SFSL this weekend and found Boss and Ninja to both be amazing coasters just the way they are now.
1. Boss 2. Screamin’ Eagle 3. Ninja 4. Boomerang the only one of those coasters that isn’t extremely awesome is Boomerang and even then it has no headbanging if you know how to ride it. Neither does Ninja
Well the ninja gives you a headache, the boss broke down the last time I was on it, the boomerang breaks down all the time, and the screaming eagle is amazing
This ride sucks, how many times do we have to say it Six Flags? Remove the dang ride and use the land for an actual good coaster. Get this deserving Park a hyper, or something like Lightning Run At Kentucky Kingdom, anything would be better than this!
Naw man, don't get rid of this, these Arrow loopers are getting rarer by the year (I know Vekoma finished it.). This is a one of a kind Ron Toomer design and it needs preserved. SFSTL has plenty of unused land and I agree we deserve a new coaster, I also agree that it's a shame that nobody else has installed a Chance/Morgan Hyper GT-X. Chance coasters are the true descendants of Arrow coasters and Lightning Run is awesome.
Scott Mygatt this isn’t an arrow looper. Arrow started the ride, but the majority of it was built by Vekoma. And Vekoma isn’t defunct, so they could just make this park a new looper. The design isn’t all that bad. But the least this park can do is have Vekoma do some track work, and maybe with some new trains, this could be a cool coaster.
Nothing, people just can’t handle how janky it is and don’t know to ride it in a non-wheel seat with their head back against the headrest and follow the track. Ninja is rough but the roughness adds to the experience and makes the ride great. I didn’t think I’d enjoy Ninja at all but it turns out I love it.

if they did the same thing to big apple coaster In Vegas why not with ninja?
They Prob wont put lap bars, but they should but new Vekoma Trains with vest
I just rode this for the first time and found it to actually be a really good ride. The back car is the best to ride in.
It’s like my least favorite child. I love it to death even though I know it is not good.

I swear they slowed this sucker down in the later years. The late 90s ninja was a rollercoaster I'd never ride twice lol

The pain to speed ratio does not make sense. Too much pain and not near enough speed.
