I can’t believe they don’t wear there own merch when in parks. Missing out on some serious advertising.
I’m pooping
@@Gmh6477i agree, never see them in tpw shirts its a missed oppertunity 😊
@@Gmh6477probs coz he don’t need too
I think I am almost up to date with all the vlogs so far for this US Road trip. I love the positivity and honest reviews that you both give. Your videos are full of fun and great to watch. Keep the positive vibes going ❤
Thank you so much!
Thank you both. This was the park we’d visit on Baptist day in the late seventies. We got out of school to go. The log flume, the screaming eagle and the mine train appear to be all that’s left. Great video. Screaming eagle was in the Guinness book for a time. Highest, fastest, longest in the world. Wow 😂
Its original theme were the 6 regions of each flag (US, England, Spain, France, Illinois, Missouri). Today, that theme is Warner Brothers. That's fine and all if you like what WB is doing with superhero stuff- ie the DC stuff. It's why before the 90's rides were named for different things (Mine Train, Ninja, etc), while 90's onward were named after WB stuff- Batman, Freeze, etc. Some rides like the Buccaneer and Scrambler have been renamed for WB characters (Joker and Shazam respectively). I still call them by their original names (like Tony Hawk and Evel Knievel).
This park seems to be really stepping up their game despite the staffing shortage. I’m proud of them.
Funny enough I saw a lady here in Maryland with a Six Flags St Louis shirt on yesterday.
We had a good day!
Can't wait for the Holiday World vlog!
It’s now online!
Can't wait to see your Holiday World video! Thats my local park. 😊
Just love how six flags just slaps a DC character name on any old ride with very little thought to the character trait.
Batman’s new name “Stain the Ride” lol 😂 oh and they are not Octopuses 🐙 they are Squids 🦑
They said octopus on the label!
You heard it here first everyone! RMC Boss 2024! I also agree that it would be great keeping a majority of the existing layout intact if/when they convert it since it's a really unique coaster. Screaming Eagle is a hidden gem that doesn't get talked about enough.
It’ll be interesting to see what happens!
I'm glad you guys had an awesome time at my home park. Six flags St. Louis is very underrated
The worst thing about six flags st Louis is that it's a six flags park.
I hope to go soon
For good reason , it’s very average
We had a fun day!
This park actually looks pretty decent. Looks like it may need a little TLC and maybe another stand out coaster but I'm intrigued enough to give it a go.
I found it funny when Charlotte screamed on the ride at 39:22
Love these trips with charlotte. You can tell how much she loves you and how much she wants to be involved in your world and interests.
I think she loves coasters as well, but I agree, Charlotte is a ray of sunshine.
Thank you so much!
Looks a good decent theme park. Love the indoor ride, those type of attractions really appeal to me and all the better that you don't wear 3D Spectacles. Good one.
Clocking up the miles 😎👌👏
Oh yes!
I'm having so much fun...every park has been a delight so far...thank you Shawn and Charlotte!🌈
Thanks for joining us!
Must be so hot I feel sorry for but all the more reasons to get on some water rides.....😅
I rode Ninja in 1986 when it was at Expo '86 in Vancouver. Screamin' Eagle had a speed and drop record of any operating coaster when 1st opened in '76 and The Boss is one of the biggest woodies out there. Reverse Blast looks fantastic too!
I have not ridden The Boss but it seems like an RMC conversion would make sense for this one. It is not an old classic that really makes saving it worthwhile. And with its long length it could make an epic RMC, giving the park the stand out coaster it still needs.
Charlotte described it perfectly although it's not as rough as it used to be.
The clearing around the Boss's queue is from the former Go-Cart track that was recently removed.
Much needed water rides in that heat
St Louis may be one of the hottest cities on earth.
😂....not exactly, but it can get pretty warm there. I use to find summers hot there before I moved to FL over 20 years ago, now most cities don't feel as hot to me as before.
Try Phoenix or Las Vegas
The humidity is nuts.
@@floridamaddogg I’m from south central Texas, and yeah Florida is another level of hot and humid.
@@wendelcleghorn7950 yes!! I live on a barrier island on the east/southeast coast of Florida and my brother lives in Chicago. He use to joke saying how it's hotter in Chicago than where I live on a summer day. I said okay, but when you visit me, the 88° by me will be the hottest 88° you have ever felt😂...so he visited and he had to collect himself a few times when he first arrived and couldn't believe it never really cooled off at night too😂😂😂
So glad you guys had such a good day can’t wait to see your next park too im having a blast watching you stay safe & keep having fun ❤ Lisa
Thank you!
Im going to this park tomorrow! Wanted to watch this to see what the rides are like before I go! Awesome video!
Have a great time!
The steam train is down until the new coaster is finished
yay shaun did his micky mouse impression
Catwoman's Whip looks fantastic. I'm glad you got to ride that. If they RMC the Boss, would it become the Evil Boss? The Bad Boss? They could have some fun with the name.
It’s a great ride!
Awesome Video Guys
It only got released 15 mins ago how have you watched all 46 mins 😂😂😂
Great Vlog as always Shawn and Charlotte
The area that is cleared at base of The Boss is where the kther half of the Go Karts track was. One half was removed for Rookie Racer, so the other half went as well, leaving that big clearing.
Thanks for sharing!
It’s freezing cold here In Sydney, having a glass of wine enjoying your vlog. Brings back memories of visiting Six Flags St Louis in 2005.
How cold is freezing in Australia ???
Ha ha it was probably around 8 degrees Celsius. It was cold for us.
Good to see you all had a great day at my home away from home. I couldn’t agree more about Screamin’ Eagle! It is a gem!
It’s a great wooden coaster!
“I’ll be able to get that stain out at home with some vanish” made me laugh 😂 another fab vlog, I’m enjoying this trip so much, it feels like we’re all there with you guys 👍🏼
Thank you!
its not any better in the uk right now either its boiling here
Fun fact, Ninja was actually built by Arrow but they went bankrupt and Vekoma took over the build
So,when you get home, and film your trip summary video,if Charlotte's not wearing an octopus hat we will be very disappointed 🐙
Get a spibelt and if it doesn’t fit in the pouch leave it in the car. Travel light then you won’t need a locker. 😂
When filming vlogs we need to take our camera equipment with us!
@@ThemeParkWorldwide yea that makes sense.
They should do the Gravity Group retract to the Boss. You will see, it’s made Grizzly at Kings Dominion so much better. I liked Grizzly before, but the 2/3rds that have been done feel great.
That would be great!
Nice!
You started with my 2 favorite rides in th park.
Lol that 5,4,3,2,1 was the most unenthusiastic countdown ever
Loving the USA tour theme park reviews. Always get excited to watch them😂I hope you are visiting Six Flags Great Adventure for Kingda Ka!!
They are going to Great Adventure but Kingda Ka is SBNO (standing but not operating) so they won't be able to ride it.
Yeah I heard about that just didn't know it would still be closed after 3 weeks nearly. All the big gigacoasters having issues or accidents. Top Thrill Dragster shut down to cus on an accident
Thank you! We are however Kingda Ka is currently closed!
@ThemeParkWorldwide very unfortunate I expected them to have resolved the issue by now
Ninja is a arrow coaster
Pop to a shop and get some washing up liquid for the grease on your clothes! Massage it in and rinse out! Has worked wonders for me before
Me and my bro working tsunami at 41:06
If they do RMC the Boss they should call it Final Boss.
Can’t believe the Batman ride got oil on you😅
Thank you both for the awesome videos!! I’ve been binge watching all your road-trip videos and they are so entertaining! You and Charlotte seem like the nicest people. Take care from your newest subscriber! :)
Thank you!
Fun fact the river king mine train operated as a stand up coaster for 1 year!
I can’t even imagine how torturous an Arrow stand-up would have been. At least it had no inversions! River King was originally two separate courses, one of which was moved to Dollywood where it operated for about ten years before being moved to Magic Springs in Arkansas, where it still operates (I think).
@@bizjet as Big bad John.
Was it even a full season? I thought they cloesed it down after the accident.
@@BlueJeanBaby ,you are correct.
I bet that was crazy!
Ninja was built by arrow and finished by Vekoma
Ninja was actually originally built by Arrow, but they went bankrupt during the project so Vekoma finished the coaster for them. I don’t hate this ride, though that sidewinder is an awful element.
Thanks for sharing!
They should’ve given you a free tshirt.
The gerstlauer spinners are low-key the best spinner coasters you can experience. Shame CP didnt go for that style.
And the staff at St Louis in 2023 have been fantastic! Not their decision but wish there was 2 train ops.... but when the trains were being loaded everyone was moving well and was very friendly! One of the friendliest staff Ive ever had at a park as of June 2023
I would vote The Boss gets a full GCI reprofile & GCI millennium flyers.... maybe even bring back the ending double helix? lol
I will say I found screaming eagle a little rough as well but not as much as the boss. But it made me sad that the seat at the entrance has that buzzbar that would let the ride be more comfortable :p
I’d love to see a GCI retrack of Boss!
5.. 4..3 ahahh love when operators are funny and entertaining :)
It’s great fun!
octopus hats 🤣🤣🤣 looks more like a squid 😂
Another awesome vid loving it. 😁😁😄😃😃😄😁
aww shawn that sucks about your shirt, send them the cleaning bill
I love how positive you guys stay no matter what happens! If there is something negative you say, you always come back around with something positive!
My 12yr old son & I love all the park videos!!
Heck of an awesome trip! We are from St.Louis, so that’s our home park, with Silver Dollar City being a close second to us.
Cheers and safe travels!!
Thanks for watching!
Very fitting again since I’m going here today
I'm not sure if this was brought up, but I have a theory that the black tarmac may have been the reason the park was so hot.
Definitely
The anti climax of Colossus being a relaxing ferris wheel 😂
Wait you guys LIKED NINJA?! That's by far and away the WORST roller coaster I've ever ridden. Also fun tidbit, it was an Arrow that after halfway being built was finished by Vekoma since Arrow went bankrupt. Solid park though, I feel it's very underrated!
We enjoyed it!
One of the big empty spots was the former site of the Xcalibur. It was a rare Giant Evolution ride. Its a shame they got rid if it. Nobody knows if its getting relocated or sent to scrap.
I'm putting my money on scrap, since it was the last of its kind and had all sort of maintenance issues the last couple years it was open
Great vlog! I'm glad that you and Charlotte had a really good time then what you did in 2019! And that new roller coaster Rookie Racer will be so much fun to ride!
It was a good fun day!
Another quality upload
Not related to the videos but what are your reactions to king da ka closing and el toro opening and the europa park fire
We’re looking forward to El Toro and it’s very sad about the EP fire
29:15 Supergirl Skyflyer is a Zamperla Endeavour which is the modern day version of a Huss Enterprise.
Boss actually opened with Gerstlauer trains. The park does take care of it but i think it would be better with ptcs. I agree with Sean i hope it stays wooden. Ghostrider treatment or Gravity Group retrack is the awnser
I haven’t been to Six Flags St. Louis since 2004 and wanted to see how the park is doing so I’m extra happy I found your vlog! 😊 Might have to go there this summer 😍
We ride Ninja last thing before leaving for the day because we always get power slammed in our spine and neck and without fail EVERY TIME the seat behind us will be a 12 year old girl screaming "I hate this part" at the top of her lungs the entire ride.
Black top through out??? OMG I know not to visit this park.... asphalt is the cheap way to go....and it can actually melt your shoes...
Launch sequence activated arms down head back and hold on is my best part before the launch but it was fun
The Screaming Eagle is last original PTC.
Brilliant ride
It looks like your trip is matching up to the low attendance this year at many of the Six Flags parks. Six Flags America (my home park), on the other hand, has just been the opposite. It's been the busiest I've ever seen for a non-holiday days. In fact, this past Saturday, was out of control. Normally, during a hot day you can count on Hurricane Harbor being busy, but not the dry park. Well, you can throw that rule out the window. The dry park was equally as busy!
Thanks for sharing!
These videos are so entertaining glad you two are enjoying yourselves
Thank you!
I wish I was there when you guys were. I was at a different park
We're planning on going to get the credits tomorrow. Mr Freeze will be my 80th coaster!
They r squid head hats, not octopus. U can tell by the pointed head with fins on the side. An octopus doesn't have that 😂
Elmo n the spice girls 😂😂 classic shawn
Love it!
You sound like the fc24 commentators (that’s a compliment)
Shaun when you can’t get a pov on ride please try to add in available povs...I really liked that added extra in the recent videos
Unfortunately the official POV’s for here were very poor quality
Good morning have fun u guys
Me and My bestfriend will be going here soon so were getting hyped
You caught me out then when talking about what PTC stands for. Philadelphia Toboggan Comp… Coasters? 😲
I had to do some research? It was Philadelphia Toboggan Company until 2007 when Tom Rebbie became sole owner and changed the name to Philadelphia Toboggan Coasters, Inc (PTCI). Thought it was the Mandela Effect or I was going mad 😅
what happened with the editing here, either way great vlog so far :) 35:11
Haven't gone to this park in several years at this point, so it was interesting to see how much things have changed. Aw, too bad the rapids ride is down! I got majorly SOAKED last time I was on it. There was a really LONG section (at least it felt long, haha) where the raft wouldn't spin, and guess who got every. Single. WAVE! lol. Then not too long after that there were waterfalls, which totally helped (NOT!). So yeah, you lucked out with this one, Charlotte! lol
Excellent video Shawn and Charlotte from Six Flags St. Louis in Missouri, the 14th theme park of our USA Road Trip! In this vlog, we experience all 9 roller coasters at the park including Mr. Freeze Reverse Blast, The Boss, and many more awesome rides. We also experience some of the other fantastic rides on offer at the park, along with checking out the construction taking place on Rookie Racer, a new family roller coaster opening at the park later this year! keep the good videos coming on the channel, I can't write to see the next video on the channel, Shawn and Charlotte. 😀👍👍
They are Squid hats not Octopus hats.
Your day at SFSL makes me think it could be worth a visit, but, as we can only travel in August, the other comments suggest it wouldn’t be the best choice. Do love the look of Mr Freeze though.
Boss seems like a coaster that some people love but I just don't get it. I find it to be incredibly boring. We rode it several times throughout the day and it was boring pretty much every time. It wasn't rough or unpleasant, it just reminds me of a smaller Mean Streak before it got RMC'ed.
That's my old stomping grounds! I've not been there in some thirty years now, though. A lot of changes. But it does me heart good to see it again, and you did a lovely job showing the new stuff!
I wish Six Flags cloned Mr. Freeze Reverse Blast like they did with Batman (without the oil stains oh course!) ....😅
The black hole 🕳️ 35:11 - 35:14
I went on the Boomerang ride it was really fun.
I’m confused. I heard from all over the internet that Ninja was majorly hated by pretty much anyone so to see that you guys enjoyed it confused me. Did it have some type of re-track that I don’t know about? Can’t wait for tomorrow’s vlog but to answer your question, no, I would not go on a ferris wheel for more than 70 hours.
I remember the Ninja always jerking your neck on its final stunted turn back into the station. Maybe they finally fixed that?
It started running well in 2021, I think the track just somehow warped itself into being a pretty decent ride.
We enjoyed it!
You should come down for our fright fest some time
Is it not worrying about patronage seems very low if people don’t turn out could be death of parks☹️
It was a weekday, so it’s probably much busier on weekends!
Black and Red are my favorite colors
