Off topic! Had our first visit to Blackpool Pleasure Beach yesterday in 40 years! You were right! Valhallas a soaker!! Despite full length waterproofs we were still drenched somehow 🤣 took your advice and took spare shoes! But WOW what a brilliant ride! Also five walk-ons on Icon, that’s awesome too and pretty much walk on everything else all day! We think it’s a brilliant park and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. Compared to how we remember it, it far exceeded our expectations, and the sit in food places were lovely, far better than AT, can’t wait to go back. 🤩🎢
Vacaville native here! I'm glad you enjoyed the park, it gave me a lot of fond memories while growing up. I wish this park would get more money put into it and get Kong demolished and replaced with a more modern ride, possibly a Raptor. I'm sad I no longer live by this park anymore but I at least live a few minutes away from Dollywood now so at least it was a worthy upgrade lol.
SFDK is notorious for ride closures and Vallejo has some issues. N. Ca land so expensive that chances for a new theme park are slim. Glad you two had a good time there, Joker is an example of RMC making the most of what they had to work with. I really liked Roar but u can do worse than Joker. The local ordinances have strangled that park. There's some outstanding flat rides they should look into and a dark coaster wouldn't hurt. Have fun at Knotts!
Yeah I've never actually been able to time that park right. Every time I've been in the area either the park was closed or the coasters I wanted to ride were closed. I wonder with the merger, if they'll move what they can from CGA to SFDK and make it into mega park since it'll be the only one up there.

Wow- I haven't visited this park in many years. I remember when it was much more of an animal park, we used to visit often when our son was little. V2 was a MONSTER before they changed it to the Flash: Vertical Velocity along with a new less intense launch. But the resistance bricked the ride most time of the year 😂 I’m so glad you got to experience a fraction of the greatness that WAS Six flags Marine World ❤️
Medusa has been untouched since it first launched in 2001 😩 but she runs just as smoothly as day 1! Love her. Kong needs to be TORN DOWN. Hated it since 2004 😂 I can’t believe that shit is still up and running lol

KONG the sound your head makes as it smashes against the harness :) Kong was originally "Hangman" At Opryland in TN it was super smooth there, when they moved it it became really rough.
I loved it as Hangman (my experience in 1995)! Was sad to learn how the coaster has run since it was relocated ☹️. As sad as I was in 1997 when I learned that Opryland closed ☹️!

Done the park a couple a years ago my second six flaggs park went for 2 days. Day one it was all that six flaggs is infamous for, second day fine not saying operations where great that day but they wheren't bad either. Did get to do all the coasters after about half of them where down on the first day. Must say it was a nice looking park for a six flags park.

This park use to be located in redwood shores in 1968 when it was marine word then in the 80s it began to have issues in its location so in 1986 it was moved to Vallejo where it’s currently located
This is my home park, even since I was a kid the flash (V2) has been closed. I’ve been disappointed in the operations this year, they were running 1 train on Labor Day weekend
I visited this park once when it was Marine World Africa USA And I don't really recognize anything about it now. I hope you guys are really enjoying your stay in Northern California, Just make sure you put everything in the trunk of the car when you are in the San Francisco area or it might get stolen.
Medusa is one of my favorite floorless B&Ms. So much fun and the elements are great, smooth and flow so nicely. On a side note, Six Flags really needs to step up their merch game. Their clothing looks so generic and cheap. Hopefully a little of the Cedar Fair merch style will seep into them soon.
Stop by Traintown in Sonoma next time you are in the bay area! It's about a half hour from SFDK. It's super small, but it's really charming! Plus there is a petting zoo with goats and llamas.

Think that Intamin over the entrance plaza used to be an impulse coaster but the park were told to remove it due to it going above height regulations when it was built. So instead they modified it, which is what you see now. Ryan The Ride Mechanic did a bit on it recently. Think he said it's not very reliable and throughput is bad due to it taking an age for the train to roll back into the station from that 'on its side' spike.
Holy expensive beer!! Not even that much at Kings Island. $15.00 is enough!! Hope this isn't what we have to look forward to! WOW!! I hate these parks treat food and beverage like sporting events. I understand they don't want people running around and riding rides drunk but a bit overkill. Next time in the states (Ohio specific) you need to visit the Cincinnati and Columbus Zoo. They are both amazing and rated very high. Wolves are some of my favorites! They are just so beautiful! Believe it or not they are very loyal and gentle when rescued as a pup. We have many rescues people can visit with these beautiful animals and be in with them. If you have special certification you can have as pets but only specialty adoptions. Can't just get one of the street. Illegal!
We were thinking of going to this park this November and after watching a review giving the park a rating of 3 out of 10, we were considering bagging the idea. I think we should give it a shot anyway based on the good time you had. Like you said, you just have to go and and see for yourself. We were thinking 2 days of visits, but it looks like 1 day should be plenty to see everything? Did you get food there and if so, how was it or did you pack a lunch?
The Flash opened as V2 years ago...and was originally built with both spikes going up vertically. The city of Vallejo has a height restriction on all structures and forced Six Flags to change the forward spike to a 45 degree to keep it under their restrictions.

Yeah V2 was originally built against city code. And they hid it for years from the city until it was discovered and they made them alter the second spike to what it is. Or SOMETHING like that.
My one and only visit to the park was many years ago in 2002. Rode roar at the time before the conversion and i cant remember what it was called before flash. I should have suggested going to the Aquariam at Monterey Bay

We went on Labor Day (September 2nd), and the queues were horrible. Wonder Woman was my favourite ride, Batman my least. Despite many ride closures, I thought that the park was presented well, and the animal sections more than made up for the negatives above. Booking well in advance, I paid $39 for my ticket and $45 for Speedy Parking. However, the Speedy Parking price has since dropped to $30, and the Gold Pass (including parking) at $59, would’ve been better value.
Ever thought of using an Apple Watch to record your audio on ride then put it over the park official video . Worked well for an American RUclipsr I watched recently . With so many parks not allowing filming be good to hear your reaction well charlottes lol

It's good to see they got Kong back open. I missed out on that credit when I was there in early June. Boomerang and Flash were also closed then.

Flash had to use that layout because that second spike was too high. The city has a height limit.
