    Fun fact. This particular model was built for the world's Fair Expo 86 in Vancouver BC.It was called the Scream Machine and after it was dismantled, Rogers Arena was built in its spot, where the Vancouver Canucks play in the NHL. It was sold to Six Flags after the fair.

    This is the one that originally made me a roller coaster enthusiast, when I reluctantly got on it in August of 1994 at the age of 17. I've been able to ride it at least once during each of my 3 subsequent visits (2004, 2010 & 1013). Though it didn't seem quite as intense this last time, I still enjoyed the ride.

    A little factoid, this Coaster was built in Vancouver BC on the old Expo lands for Expo 86 a Worlds Fair to celebrate Vancouver's 100th Birthday!
    When the fair was over after almost 6 months, the assets were disposed of at auction including this ride which was called The Scream Machine at that time.
    High priced condos are what is on the Expo lands now & the arena which was called GM Place & is now Rogers Place where the Vancouver Canucks play is where the Scream Machine AKA Ninja at Six Flags St Louis use to be.
    I went on it!

  • @TheRealSuperStubbs
    @TheRealSuperStubbs 7 лет назад

    The most jarring part of this ride has gotta be the entrance into the helix. There's a section right at the beginning there where the train does a little back-and-forth shimmy, rocking your head side to side, and slamming your ears into the shoulder restraints in the process.

    Fears of coaster hobbyists may be getting closer to realization, the transformation of wood coasters to steel coasters. Tx. Giant, Rattler, Boss. I know these coasters had major problems due to high upkeep cost to remain ride-able. My fear is that wooden greats with otherwise-correctable/less major problems will get Iron Horse Track just to be more cost-effective in the long run. Shivering Timbers, Ghostrider, Hades, who's the next woodie to get "horsed around with" because it's not aging well?

This was one of the few CCI woodies I had left to ride, which stinks because it's not terribly far from my Waco, TX. home (relatively). Damn! CCI coasters are some of the most thrilling in the world, but don't seem to age well without more extensive & costly maintenance/upkeep than other woodies. I know Tx. Giant is a wonderful ride with Iron Horse, but I won't favor a woodie transforming into a steelie, unless it'll be destroyed.

      It bangs your ears? That's why it's called the Ninja! Lol. I love this ride but, my favorite one was the Orient Express at World's of Fun in Kansas City which was built in 1980 and torn down in 2003.

      I hate it too. You shouldn't be beat up on a ride that's supposed to be fun. Ninja name or not.

    I've been on this ride. That bar at 1:09 is still there. 4 years and they haven't gotten rid of it. It literally looks like it can decapitate you.

    What are the smoothest, and roughest Arrow rides in your opinion? And do you think this is more rough than Vortex at King's Island?

    • @jasonhook3884
      @jasonhook3884 4 года назад

      I know you're not asking me, but this is the easiest question ever. The roughest Arrow I've ridden is by far Carolina Cyclone, and the smoothest one is Tennessee Tornado, which is almost B&M levels of smooth. Plus it was designed by Alan Schilke.

    I love Arrow coasters, but they could be a little smoother
