There is a sign that says "no screaming profanity on the ride" the first words I hear on the first drop "SHITTTTTTTT!!!" Lol
When I went before, the staff recommended this ride to me and my family as the smoothest ride in the park. He lied.

The smoothest “ride” is the train, but the smoothest “coaster” is probably Batman: The Ride
American Thunder is the smoothest wooden coaster at that park.

Six Flags needs to give this ride the RMC treatment. I think that would make it way more awesome and much smoother.
Riding this ride in the rain is like getting shot with a million needles while at the same time someone is trying to break ur back.

I had a similar experience to that, but it was on the New Texas Giant.
Riding this in the sun is like being lit on fire while being chained to the seat, uncomfortably squeezing your waist, while being beaten with boards and your neck is constantly being thrown from side to side causing terrible whiplash

I rode this in the back row in the dark. I loved the speed and the sudden drops, I loved the air time... but that helix at the end really won my heart, I LOVED it! awesome ride.
One day this was the last ride we rode. Me and my friends heads hurt because of some people screaming. Then everyone was chanting 100 MORE YEARS!!!! in the station. Then I remembered how rough it is and me and my friend decided that this was a terrible idea. Thankfully we lost all feeling in our heads so the end of the day was nice. (Not saying this coaster isn't fun. It's fun but ROUGH!)

This ride hurts
You can literally feel your brain yanking on your brainstem as it gets thrown around inside your skull. And the ride breaks down all the time.
Sit in the last row at night for a mind-blowing experience. 🤯

@evremn they got 3 wheels like any other rollercoaster that is why you see steel on the middle of the wood. Then you have a wooden 'flinch' to the right which is hollow underneath it so there are wheels and on the side. You can see this very well on new woodies cause you see the line between the steel and the extra wood
This coaster is fun, but admittedly like being manhandled by a group of truckers: Its rough, jerks you around, uncomfortably longer than you'd like it to be, doesn't care if it's your first time, and leaves you sore as hell afterward.

When you ride in the back you can feel the car coming off the track

I love the ad for season passes on the lift hill. It really helps remind you it's a Six Flags park.
It's rougher than it looks...Don't fool yourself...And you REALLY wanna thrill, the back row on the 1st drop is AMAZING!

I just went on this today for the first time with a friend and someone was yelling "I'm a boss ass bitch bitch bitch bitch" the whole damn time lol. I'm really scared of roller coasters and I forgot I was riding it I was laughing so hard at that.

Sassygamergal Lol it actually was for a large school trip thing! Our school and a few around us gathered up the B and A honor roll students and took us all to Six Flags. It was amazing!

This is my all-time favorite roller coaster! I don't get why people say it gives them headaches, its pretty smooth for the type of coaster it is...
Yeah this ride just feels like the scene in Avernger Age of Ultron when Iron Man is beating Hulk saying "go to sleep" except you never go to sleep instead you have a headache the rest of the day and cant ride anything else.
Yeah. I love Six Flags STL. It is like a 2nd home to me cause i love all of the rides and it's the only Amusement park i've ever been to. I love it so much.

I remember riding this thing as a kid back in the early 2000s before they removed the helix. Ride was rough as hell. My head ended up slamming the lap bar and I had to be taken to the first aid station.
I don't live in Missouri Anymore but I went to six flags every single day for two summers straight. This ride, the ninjA, screaming eagle and the scooby doo ride were ones to remember. Even tho I have heard that the scooby doo water ride has been shut down. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Unfortunately the late, great Scooby doo has been shut down. I loved that ride dearly, but on the plus side going to that side of the park no longer makes me want to murder screaming five year olds more than a regular six flags outing already does, as the Scooby doo theme is no longer on constsnt loop.
As a pass holder I got to ride its replacement the day it opened, and it really does do its predecessor justice, and is extremely fun as far as game rides go.
+Graverobber This kind of reminds me of Silver Dollar City replacing its hybrid roller coaster/"log ride" called Buzz Saw Falls with the FAR SUPERIOR LIM-launched roller coaster called the Powder Keg!

This ride is fun, and long. It has alot of hills and dips. Unfortunately, it's really jerky and rickety. If you are planning to go on this, hold on tight!
Such an awesome wooden coaster. The biggest wooden coaster CCI ever built. Yes, it hasn't had a perfect track record (like how they cut down part of the ending to avoid valleying) but it's epic and honestly well taken care of. People who say it's rough are from the 2000's on world where they say stuff is smooth that isn't and hate on all classic or older stuff. St. Louis in itself is under-appreciated. Do a "blue hawk" makeover on "Ninja" and get a single rail RMC, kick out the high maintainence flat rides like excalibur, place would be pretty grand
I was there a few weeks ago and multiple people were borfing all over. They barfed in the ride, over the side rails as they exited, on to the go-kart track below, everywhere... It was hot, muggy, sick people all over, and great!
This was really fun to ride. This is why I love living 2 miles aways from six flags. .3.

Riding this in the rain is like hell it feels like rubber bands popping your face, and on top of that a bug got stuck in my eye...I was praying to the father, the son, and the holy spirit for that ride to be over.
I went there last weekend for the first time and it was THE BEST TRIP EVER it was so worth the 4 hours to get to the hotel and 20 min to get there from the hotel😄😄😄

oddly enough this is like my dream coaster. i really want to ride it. and i love woodies that beat u up so i wouldnt mind the roughness. looks intense! one day i will ride it =/ almost did last summer

I didn’t get to ride this as it was “too cold to run” which it was only about 38-43F that day and cloudy with no rain!
i literally just rode it twice in a row yesterday. it is one of the best rides at six flags and its my favorite! it is worth riding
CCI, how I love your helices, your random drops, and your intense lateral Gs. And how can I not love your grinding brakes that sound like somebody rubbing their car against mine? Oh CCI, how I love thee.

The Boss sits on prime land which would be an awesome location to build a great roller coaster.

i remember when i came to this exact ride... and now i have a new phone ! my phone still could be out there in the grss some where.that and my 50 bucks and wallet that i loss on this ride. i still love the ride tho realy bumpy and this film makes it look smooth i love yo work.you just earned a subscriber with the thousands of others.

I rode this three times in a row. I had my eye closed for the whole ride. My husband loves it.
If you can hold a good plank for 90 seconds then you will thoroughly enjoy this ride. Tighten your core from the first drop to the last turn. Unfortunately I could not hold a 90 second plank back to back so 10 minutes later it threw out my back.
I went on a school trip here on April 27, 2019 and this was one of the best (and roughest) rides at the park. On the 7hr bus ride home, everyone had a major migraine and we were all pretty fucked up.
the lines always take a long time due to the length of the ride but well worth it

I went to six flags the third time in late may 2014 with my school 8th grade school year and I decided to get on this not knowing it was going to be a painfull ride and so when I rode it with some random person and over the hill we dive down and I started banging everywhere at 65 mph. after I got off both of my sides were hurting.
This coaster will definitely give you a headache
First thing to know about Six Flags STL: Ride the Boss and/or Ninja last, and have more fun on the other rides XD

This was the second roller coster I had ever rode. Even though it scared the crap out of me it was fun and I wanted to ride it again.
I live in STL and go here often...and 66 MPH:) It's a great ride! If you go to six flags stl u won't be disapointed trust me.

Thanks for sharing all your videos. This looks like a smaller version of the now reconfigured Mean Streak at Cedar Point. Said another way, this looks a good ride.

This is the best coaster at the park. It's the longest and, I believe, the fastest there.
I'd love to have Rocky Mountain Coasters do an "Iron Horse" style rehab to this. I can think of so many insane over banks and steep drops and inversions this could have built into it...:)
Ian Cowhig If they do RMC it, I'm thinking it can be called The Big Boss or Iron Boss, I am going to SF St. Louis in August and This might be the first and last time I ride Boss until RMC re does it.

I get the feeling that "Boss", even though it has no inversions (unlike Outlaw Run at Silver Dollar City), would STILL beat the pants off of Outlaw Run; because this ride looks like it's shaky like most existing wooden roller coasters, whereas Outlaw Run is a VERY SMOOTH ride, even though it, too, is a wooden coaster. This roller coaster ride also lasts a good deal LONGER than Outlaw Run -- and that's NOT EVEN including the lift hill, either!
I've ridden both. Outlaw Run is fun; Boss just beats the crap out of you.

I think this coaster should be the next to get the RMC treatment as far as coasters Six Flags parks go.
I'd give a recommendation on this ride and don't ride too close to the front or back. Stay in the middle, it's a little smoother there, the front or back will jerk you around WAY more.
THAT'S EXACTLY WHY I RIDE IN THE BACK ON ANY AND ALL WOODIES. =P
People always say one of two things when they look back... "I wish I had" or "I'm glad I did" Just do it, you won't regret having given it a go
@rollercoasterfan97 Wildcat just makes your brain hurt from massive pressure. The Boss is slightly different in that it throws your entire body around for the majority of the ride, in addition to the pressure.
this ride is extremely rough I've visited over 4 Six Flags across the country and this one takes the cake. only one word describes this, violence

Sometimes I swear that on some coasters it looks as if some of the hills are higher than the initial hill -- which of course is physically impossible. But that's what it looks like.

***** Yes.It looks rough, but nothing compared to the first season's Son of Beast at King's Island. That ride left battle scars! It has since been torn down (rightfully so). The Boss looks excellent and seems to have a nice, long running time. This is a unique and well-designed coaster. I will definitely check it out if I'm at 6 Flags STL.
This was my second rollercoaster. My friends lied to me to get me on it.... I'm glad they did. I hate and love my friends at the same time... I went up saying I hate you guys soooo much..
