Yes I did! In 1986 I rode this icon at Vancouver Expo 86
Use to work on this ride. I loved getting to drive this. Wonderful memories of working there for 9 years in the early 90s.
It was the first loop I ever looped
I rode it last week
I like batman more
I remember when riding this and the guy said “your shoe is untied” and I looked down and we launched and I hit my neck against the thing super hard and my neck was hurting for 3 weeks after that
same
very rough ride.
I did the car 5 Row 1 trick and put my head back and found myself loving Ninja. If that trick can make even Ninja an enjoyable ride then I will probably like any Arrow and/or Vekoma looper
Yes, the magical Arrow seat to prevent head banging.
*Cries in Drachen Fire*
Yeah this def isn't the best looper made but can we at least take a second to appreciate the insane head chopper that is the chain return
I got to ride this for the first time last weekend. It actually was pretty smooth surprisingly. There were a few awkward transitions that weren't super comfortable but it was really a lot of fun. I was afraid my friends might not like it but they all wanted to ride it multiple times. lol 😂
Is that shit safe?
I actually really enjoyed this ride. My friends enjoyed it as well and we went on it multiple times during our visit. There are a few weird transitions in the layout, but it was actually smoother than some of the Arrow coasters I've been on. The trains didn't vibrate much and it really wasn't much of a head banger. Bat Man The Ride was more of a head banger than this coaster. lol 😂 This ride gets a pretty bad rap but it's honestly an okay roller coaster.
ye ninja doesn't have good rapping skills
@@normalnoah6729 😂
This ride was absolutely awful in my opinion. Your head bangs from side to side every second, and the elements are really rough. Terrible ride.

I rode this icon in 1986 at Vancouver Expo 86 when I was 13. I am glad this ride is still able give the thrills it gave back then now. I am glad you people were able to enjoy it as much as I did when I was a child
At Expo 86, it was called the Scream Machine.
@@bluemountain555 yes it was
Picture this: You are playing Rollercoaster Tycoon, and you are so close to reaching your number of guests goal to beat the scenario, but you don't have much money or space left. You look at what you can build. You see the corkscrew coaster in the build menu and click on it. After like 30 minutes, you come out with this. The end of the month passes, but the month passes and you are $1,000 in debt, but the new ride brought in enough guests, and kept your pack rating high enough that you win. Very familiar to me. These old Arrows (or in this case part Arrow and part Vekoma) look like they were designed in Rollercoaster Tycoon. 1, 2, or 3.
I can't afford Corkscrew Coaster 1.
But did this ride satisfy VIP Clint Bushton? 😅
I remember riding this 4-5x in a row as a kid with one of my best friends because no one was in line for it. I may have started thinking coasters were cool before this (at Kings Island), but I got my love of rollercoasters coming to this park every year from '99-'01.
The amount of times I banged my head on this💀
I love the Ninja! This was the first ride I ever rode at Six Flags and me and my Best Friend rode it together for the first time, so this ride has a special place in my heart.
They should replace this ride with a new RMC Raptor dubbed:
*Twisted Ninja!!!*
Or Iron Ninja
My favorite part is that part at 1:43 where it looks like you’re going to be decapitated by the hanging lift hill chain as you pass under it. Lol
I’ve been on this ride a lot but it always thrashes your head side to side constantly especially at all the corkscrew loops
It was one of the best ride I’ve ever bee; on though
Been.
Rode this coaster when it was at Expo 86 in Vancouver, BC when it was called the Scream Machine!
Rode it in Vancouver in 1986.. fun ride then. ..looks rougher than I remember
Oh trust me it is! This is by far one of the shakiest coasters ever. It has an insane Vekoma rattle, you can feel the bumpy ness. And it’s really jerky. Especially the side wider.
It was called the Scream Machine when it was in Vancouver as part of Expo 86.
This ride looks so brutal I think I’d enjoy Minderaser at Six Flags America more
This definitely needs the Blue Hawk treatment by giving new trains that has vest restraints
The coaster is a little rough but this may have been the best arrow looper coaster ive ever been on!
This is my favorite ride at this park! I always ride it when I go!
You a masochist?
I road it once back in the late 80s. Still get a headache thinking about it lol
You're really brave and tough probably props to you
@@staringcorgi6475 nah it’s an east coaster GP
I do have to admit it's pretty rough, but I still love it!!! 😎
I remember when they built this. The corkscrew section of this was a big deal back then.
It’s really jerky now and I don’t think it’s that fun anymore
This is so jerky and it hurts my neck. Feels like ninjas beating me up.
i went with my friends during summer n when we went on the ride it wasn’t very smooth n all of our necks hurt super bad after but it’s still a good ride
that ride killed my back and yet i rode it agian on the same day for some reason
This was my first roller coaster ever
Definitely a good sign when you hear riders screaming "Ow! Ow!" throughout the entire ride
I Love it so much
still the best.
I remember when I went on this for the first time and ppl told me to keep my head back and glued to the seat if I don’t want to get neck/head injuries
I rode this ride multiple times in 1986 when it was featured at Vancouver's Expo 86 as "The Scream Machine". But it was red.
It was red in St. Louis too for most of its life. Got painted black around ten years ago.
Pound for pound. The best of the best for myself.
This ride gave me a huge migraine lol I remember throwing up all night
To this day, i still look for the flash from the camera on that last turn, even though I'm pretty sure it was removed 20 years ago, lol
I wonder if this roller coaster will ever get a re track like Loch Ness at Bush Gardens. Would be great if it did and with new trains.
its called the ninja because it expertly snaps your neck
i welcome you to whiplash city if you ride this
Very similar to the viper at Six Flags Darien Lake
Bruh, this is basically The Demon at Six Flags Great America it’s also a painful ride, but at least we have a bit more options at our park, but imma be coming to Six Flags SL to visit my brother and come to this park.
Those corkscrews are so painful
It's been 20 plus years since I've been here didn't the track use to red
May I use clips from your POV to illustrate a video project about Vekoma loopers? I will give credit and put a link to your channel in my video description.
Best,
Philippe
is a ninja like a pirate?
Should change the name to ghost ship with that cable hanging low
this was my first upside down roller coaster and i put my arms through the middle not knowing what i was suppose to do. my mom very quickly corrected me and then left a bruise on my thigh because she was holding onto me so tight 🤭
no got rained out riht as i was about to get on ;-;
And the lines were pretty short and some were long but moved fast
is a ninja a enemy?
This is the only ride that actually beat up my neck. I see we it’s called Ninja 🫥
I went here July 4th and I hate how it Bobbles your head
I've rode this at least 30 times. It gets a bad rap, but early arrows were ruff. Right of passage. Head chopper lift chain out of the sidewinder element is a high lite. If you pin your head and commit to the corckscrews. It's OK. Low helix at end is a pro.
i’ve never seen this one
Corkscrew coaster 2 looks to rough for me!
This made my day.
I rode the ninja and I was scared
Seem similar to demon at six flags great America
I’m so sad that I chickened out of this ride
I went on this
ninja.
I enjoyed the ride but lowkey it will give you whiplash and neck/ chin injury
I rode it yesterday. It slammed something fierce on the uphill, it was super rattley, and we heard a huge 'clang' when we went through the same part, which, now that I replayed it, you can hear the same 'clanging' sound at 1:42-1:46. the entire train reacted to that part with a look of 'oh god this is where I die' and the instructor at the end said 'heyyy welcome back guys how was the ride' to which absolutely nobody said anything good about, he then said "ohhh kayyy let's settle down.. it wasn't THAT bad you guys". everyone in my group rode almost everything in the park twice, except this one. horrifying and the only time I genuinely couldn't chock my fears up to plain-old anxiety. I will never ride this coaster again.
The demon's twin
Fun but gives me whiplash
Coaster earrape
I can’t like this video because all I hear is freaking wind
Coaster Studios has a rival!
I did ride this and I hated it!
looks slow & super shaky. yikes
they need dig this ride up and burn it. its tired !! the chains don't want to pull it any more. its a eye sore...
Ride sucks it’s way to jerky
Jesus crist this ride is so bad it made the company run bankrupt!
I vomited watching this
