The one i always crack up about it is when a movie is coming out , suddenly older figures related to the movie that no one gave a fuck about is suddenly highly prized
I'm genuinely interested in what the community has to say and like to support content creators by watching all sorts...but then they make a 45 to 120 minute video on a single topic like a simple figure announcement...I'm not gonna support said content creator by watching it because I know they're talking a bunch of stupid shit. Thanks for keeping your content in a digestible format Ryan!
I also love when collectors talk casually that they're gonna "go ahead and pick it up" about either EVERY figure and even those that person hums & haws over - like its shopping at Dollar Tree. Must be bunch of millionaires in the community...
Right? To be honest I’ve noticed many stopped advertising what they are buying and don’t even mention it. I think for the simple fact that don’t want egg on their face when they decide to tap dance out of a figure.

One you missed ..the guy who brags that they backed 10 crowdfunds with zero proof that they actually did . Not that i care what you spend on your plastic addiction .
I watched a video a couple months ago where they spent the first 45 mins complaining about people complaining. WHAT? So these people were doing the same thing that they claim to hate. I'm too busy to care about the neg things people say or think, especially about toys, content creators, etc. I'm not talking about someone talking about a fig isnt screen accurate, quality control, delays, etc. I dont need to hear for 20 mins how much someone hates a fig, content creator, company, etc. I want to hear what you do like & why. The other thing I find ridiculous, in the middle of a 2 hr video is when people start talking about race. I buy the figs, statues, etc that I like & it has nothing to do w/the color of anyone's skin. I enjoy your channel. Keep up the hard work.
The super chat thing is whatever, I'm not gonna tell people how to spend their money (not that i would do it, i dont disagree with you). The preorder flex screenshots and and screenshots of their spot in line on a drop is also insane. Flexing a number in line 😂
Man I was guilty of the screen shot for the Wonder Woman 100🙋🏻♂️ felt like an olimpic relay after waiting in that queue😎. The one that gets to me is the "ISO for a good price" yes not everyone is made of $ but you pay some $350 for a figure that stays in that range and people ask to get it for $175 because it a fair deal......for you!!!! Not happening.🦇🦇🍻
I'm not into hot toys but my favorite stupid comments were specifically when the spirit of vengeance was coming out for haslab and people were bitching about the price (justifiably) and saying "screw Hasbro I'm switching to McFarlane!" and I'm like "but McFarlane doesn't marvel legends!" Or when McFarlane started selling out pre-orders and those same idiots would say "screw McFarlane I'm switching to playmates!" and I'm sitting there saying "but playmates doesn't make dc multiverse!" That shit just doesn't make sense to me, like are you buying toys just to buy toys or what because my interests are dc, star wars, some transformers and power rangers and if I was to boycott McFarlane I wouldn't get my main interest "haslab can keep their dodge charger I'm getting the batmobile instead" just plain stupid! Now I understand and acknowledge late tax but for me I always run into pre-orders selling out in seconds and missing that window especially with exclusives, it's not charity when the company doesn't make enough product for the demand and we're forced to pay ridiculous aftermarket eBay prices when a company consistently doesn't put out enough product with the only reason conceivable is to artificially create the demand only for an ego boost for the creator... that's bullshit!
Aw man, you had me until the super chat hate. You can’t be like “no one GAF about how you spend your money!” and then judge people who willingly support content creators with super chats 😂. No one is pointing a gun at people to support channels or give super chats 🤷🏻♂️. But yeah all the other stupid 💩 you mentioned is right on point. The “reasonable price” one and screenshotting pre-orders are the worst…
Haha good point, I only say because its not hard to see those who are selling stuff because they "need money" and then they go and spend money on superchats and memberships like crazy thats all.
Thanks for commenting! You keep shit real as real can be. Appreciate watching for sure! Need to Collab on a video sometime I feel we got alot in common
Just speaking the truth that I feel like a lot of people don’t have the ability or the platform to do and I’ve had these conversations with many before and so it’s something that needed to be said.
@@mr.momcollectibles well said bro we need more people like yaself speaking the truth. I’d rather someone telling me the truth about figures helps people like my self to learn more about this hobby. Keep them coming
Thanks so much man for the feedback! Just doing my part the best I can. I try not to speak outside of what I know. I hate preachers, I rather only speak from what I know and try and help collectors not make mistakes
Thanks so much! I didn’t preorder it as I was working on other stuff but I have a few sites I have my eye on if they have an opening I might sloop in and get it to go with my OG blank panther
The screenshot order pic really irritates me. It’s like they need validation from other collectors because they feel the need to be accepted by their peers and crave the attention. Plenty of those collectors post the item for sale immediately after they receive it because they really didn’t want it or it doesn’t fit their collection. They just gave into the hype.
I will give you a fiver for Darth Vader over your shoulder because my cat had a bungee jumping accident and now i have to take a hobby vacation soooo back to ole Darth back there if I like, comment and subscribe????
3:43 ok I like say something about that. These things you mention , I haven’t done so far . But it made me realize in this community there are people far worse with budgeting even than I am ,and honestly that’s something I have not seen anywhere else 😅. But , a lot of those things can also be explained with the need of people for attention , which is something quite human ,obviously some crave it more than others . But be it a story in a BTS post , be it “ I am quitting “ post and so on . They need the emotional investment of others . The only thing I don’t quite agree with is looking for “ reasonable “ prices as an issue . Because , I don’t think people should be in the hobby to make money out of it ,and I absolutely hate scalpers . What I think though in the hobby is “ stupid “ and wasn’t mentioned here is the herd mentality , overhyping or overbashing a figure and the masses following instead of having opinion as individuals .

@@mr.momcollectibles You’re braver than I am. 😂 I don’t keep boxes for any of the Hasbro stuff, but generally anything that’s an import or a statue or 1/6 figure I keep the packaging. And I’ve got the tiniest closets in the world. So, it’s detrimental to keep them downstairs. Only downside to putting them in my massive attic is everything melts up there like Palpatine’s face after he tried to fry a lightsaber.

Racism seems to get brought into the equation by some streamers also, I fail to see what racism has to do with figure collecting! lol
