I think its unfair saying splatoon 3 launch weapon wise is better than splatoon 1 not having every class at the beginning of the game because, well, what other classes was there in its predecessor? splatoon 1 was THE beginning of this franchise, a kind of rushed game that went though messy development, needing to be released asap to put games on a failing console. S2 had no excuse however. the game could have waited a month or two to make sure brella's and the 3 missing splatoon 1 weapons (bamboo, range blaster and hydra splatting) were in the game.
also worth noting, brushes were not their own weapon class when added to S1, and never became officially labelled as its own class until S3
