Haven't watched the whole video but I run a similar build for mutation 10 laz. With pugs I run 150int/300foc/65con, and with any teams I know / company members I typically run 200int/265focus/50con These second attributes are a direct copy of a speedrunning group I watch, and work brilliantly. On the Void Gauntlet, I originally specifically only went for Blessed/Refreshing Move, but have since crafted a Blessed/Refreshing Move/Nullifying Oblivion roll. The 1st mentioned roll is still great if you wanted to try a similar build, but the clump fights typically go like this: tank taunts > I stick sacred on him > followed by beacon > followed by orb > followed by sticking down oblivion, putrefy scream and then start swinging. If it is a long team fight I can generally get 3 oblivions down. Insane backline support for the team :D (I can explain more if necessary just kinda tired rn) Have fun if you decide to try this way!
I love MEDIUM! So many bennies. I also detest mass-META builds, so great alternative here. Can't wait until the new FOCUS based weapon drops. Mace? (Maybe + Shield?) Spellbook with Arcane damage? Celestial Gauntlet? OR I would love a FOCUS based buff/healing 2-handed FLAIL (Think Witch King's huge mace thingie from ROTK battle). Merry Christmas, also.
Was playing with almost this exact build when I started this game a month or so ago, then ran into a few elitist players that just could not tolerate me trying to be in the clump or heal with medium armor, pretty much ruined it for me to heal in this game until recently. Mileage may vary but it seems trying non meta or different things is best done with friends or like you said DPS groups that don’t need constant help to survive
Hey Billford, love the off-meta stuff. Keep it coming. What about a Focus VG with Blessed, Diminishing Orb and Refreshing Move? There's one up on TP, but it's 100K. Yikes. Worth?... Medium? Heresy!! You shall be thrown into a pit of torture.
Hey dude! I'm not so sure I'm crazy about diminishing orb in PvE - I've thought about it, but I'm just not sure about what kind of buffs these mutated mobs activate and if they're worth cutting down, and on top of that, if they even can be; many buffs / debuffs that mobs in dungeons have can't be removed or reduced, on themselves or on enemies. The render that the last boss in Barnacles & Blackpowder comes to mind. It can't be cleansed off with splash of light. Lots of mechanics like that to make the fight harder. I wouldn't pay 100k for it, personally.
Ive been running hammer+ life staff on light armor and with brutal grasping vines. applying 30% rend and 30% weaken for 8 seconds and with the hammer i hit for 5-7.5k damage while stun locking enemies. the stunning helps with dps not dying from enemies, granted mutators can complicate things such as void or the nature cloud. also i love splash of life, i have the glowing life crystal staff for divine embrace but im thinking of switching that with something for beacon, i still want to keep splash of life because its a really good safety net incase the whole party gets hit with something hard, if everyones at 1/4 hp, all dps get healed basically to full, tank gets 3-4k back and you as the healer usually get the least for some reason 0.0
I think that’s a great idea. What stats are on your WH? A bane + enchanted + sundering shockwave sounds like a great hammer for each bane type. Enchanted because crit chance is low on WH especially when you’re putting more stats into healing.
@@billfordbreezy all the ones you listed are ideal, but I have several hammers 1 for each mob type, and as for stats, with food I usually peak at 100 strength, 300 focus, and 115 con.
ive been running this build in light armor with baleful tether instead of scream. It is kinda psycho to play it that way but with how many hours I have in the game I know when to engage and not engage with the build. I also run splash of light with the final perk in the left tree. its an insane build and maybe you will enjoy tether more than you suspect?
Funnny you should mention that because I used to have quite the romance with baleful tether. Probably least talked about ability in the entire game. I like the slow in it and is fun with void blade. I ran that when arenas first came out. It would be fun to try it again! Interested way you run, thank you for sharing!
I'm pretty new, lvl 51, and I am trying to use greatsword/void gauntlet. Strength and some focus. I'm using greatsword for main dps and self-sustain and void gauntlet for healing. Fun so far but idk if it will be viable
I have thought about and tried to make a build like that work - however, it’s pretty impossible to do without some major sacrifice to damage. The void gauntlet is at its peak when you mix both int and focus together. So bringing in a 3rd offensive stat (str or sex for gs) makes you scrape your attributes too thin. I’m sure you could build a solo build around it for running chests or solo pveing/ farming, but you’ll never be able to do a dungeon with a build like that based on the way builds work currently. In PvP you never see vg and greatsword. The only way you could make it work is if you completely ignore using any int or focus at all, and just use a vg with 30 constitution and go all strength or dex, and just use your gauntlet for oblivion buffs and the cc / heal dampening from putrefying scream while using your greatsword 90% of the time
@Billford Breezy I am planning on going full strength and a little focus for vg healing but idk. I want to make a build with greatsword main and magic secondary
@@robnewman19 I don’t play new world anymore, but despite not being max medium you still get the damage reduction bonus of being in medium not to mention the armor.
Forgot to post attributes! I was mostly messing around with 110 con w/ 40 con food for 150 total constitution, 50 int, and 300 focus.

Looking forward to the new weapon as well. Lots of conjecture, but cleric or dark mage would be cool.

People policing the way the game is played by others is very very very very annoying and happens constantly. : /

A repulsing clear out perk sounds sweet to run as well. This sounds like a fun healing spec tbh!!!
