I just started playing New World myself after a friend from RS3 convinced me to give it a try. Just hit level 60 last night, but been taking my time leveling and enjoying skilling + expeditions. Really loving it so far
man ive been looking for a video like this but havent been able to find one. every new world beginner video on youtube is so esoteric and meant more for returning players than actual new ones. this vid might have convinced me to give it a shot
Yeah I agree. After 7 years I'm finally getting my new pc soon, and was considering retail WoW again but was curious on New World but was unsure of the changes how significant etc.
I absolutely love storage system and you do not have to travel to get items from another sheds as you said in video, just open storage in one of the villages and it is centrelized you can open another storages from any village and pick any item you want and to make it easy to remember just put armors on top, then gathering materials after and in bottom put gems etc and it will be so simple to find everything 👍🏽

Couple of corrections that i noticed... Storage from any settlement can be accessed from any other settlements storage to deposit or withdraw. However, when crafting or refining, it only pulls from your inventory or current location's storage. Regarding faction missions, you can do as many as you want. The first 3 give increased rep, but they're not the only 3 you can access. All in all, I recently came back a few weeks ago after not playing since launch. The game has changed drastically. Gone are the days of spamming mission boards to reach level cap. You can hit cap doing MSQ and the side quests within the same area. There's significantly more fast travel points and you dont have to spend 100+ azoth per fast travel. The highest ive seen is 20 azoth. In general, it's significantly more streamlined and smoother with a lot more QoL.
Oh thanks for the heads up, i figured i might be doing something slightly wrong with the storage system. And as for the faction missions, you are correct. the first 3 give increased rep and while levelling increased experience but you can do more if you want to.
@@Waydots I believe it's in the top left corner of the storage settlement menu (so like top middle of the total screen) there's a drop down menu with that settlements name. You can click that then select and settlement you've previously visited and you can move items from there to your inventory and vice versa. Still clunky, but that's a QoL they've added since launch. It used to be painful having to walk 3 days to the west to get an item from your storage or pay a quarter of your azoth to go there and back
At the bare minimum I wish we could assign icons/logos to storage. So open up within a town, top right you have a drop down and can select whatever storage there is and you'll have access to all the gear. I just wish I could go...herbs Windsward, fishing Monarchs, shards/orbs/resources EbonScale, potions Mourningdale...and to have a visual representation for all of this, as once you've unlocked all storage you could have items scattered all across the place
As a veteran New World player, it's nice to hear an honest review from a fresh perspective. 5khrs in and I still love the game and the friends I've made in the community

This video is goated, I’m glad that you experienced what we all experienced at launch when it comes to movement. Walking from town to town was the biggest drag, so for this video to include the fact that you walked/ran from town to town until lvl50 - makes me feel like you have experienced everything that new world is
As a New World fan who had about 500 hours and then stopped for a year and is back now for Angry Earth I totally agree with your positives. If I could add on to your negatives though and maybe clarify. 1. Absolutely diversify mobs. New enemies are just reskinned old enemies 100%. My biggest complaint. 2. Swimming. I would like to be able to swim but they have water in the game almost as a deterrent to certain areas. If you look at the map the shaded water areas are crossable on foot. Non shaded can’t be crossed on foot, so they are aware of what they did. The only way I could see it working is if swimming used stamina maybe? So you could swim short distances but not around the whole map. 3. The stunlock issue. I don’t think this needs to be fixed at all. The stunlock is there for a reason. It forces players to block attacks or tank with 300 CON. With max con you will have grit on every attack. If you always had grit that would take out an integral portion of combat and also be too easy for DPS builds. As a DPS I can’t just pull a million mobs and have to be methodical about pulling enemies one at a time which I like anyway. Just my thoughts but love the review! It might get some of my friends to play it now!
I was one of the people who absolutely no-lifed New World when it came out. One thing not highlighted here that absolutely wrecked the community was the number of bugs and exploits that came about in the first month or so of the games life. They had to disable trading for multiple days (over a week at one point i believe) due to an exploit. Their inability to put out fixes without breaking other things was just tragic. I'm glad to see the game still doing okay given how much AGS really shot themselves in the foot over and over the first few months. Maybe someday i'll give it another go (after osrs leagues maybe lol). Awesome video though! It really is a beautiful game
I felt in love with this game since day 1, 6 months ago. The story and the combat feel just so good and entertaining. I used to be a huge WoW vet and honestly, I don’t think I’ll be able to go back to a tab targeting mmo again. I agree with all of your cons points tho. Fortunately, the game is getting better and better after each season. It has so much potential to be one of the best mmo on the market in a couple of years.
As a fan of Runescape I *really* love this game. I get the same dopamine hits of crafting in gathering from New World as I do from OSRS and RS3. I love watching numbers go up lol. Now I just gotta get a PC that can run it better and I'll be golden
for the storage system, you can actually access all of your settlement storages from 1 storage unit. its a pretty neat design which allows me to have certain storages for certain types of items
A small clarification on storage, you can take objects that are in another storage in another city, and put them in your inventory and then in the storage of the city you are in, it is no longer necessary to go storage by storage in person. In S4 there will be many more changes to the storage, and it will be improved even more.
As a new player the game is awesomely fun. If it came out as it is today in the first place i think it would be the number 1 mmo played right now. Its still not perfect but they are open to making major changes to improve it. Its one of the few mmorpgs ive played in the last 20 years that is actually fun to fight, kill, gather, explore, quest.
2200+ hour veteran here. For the most part you got the whole picture. Things are alittle cut and paste, the devs know this and are slowly getting that taken care of. They are going to redo some more towns like they did with monarchs bluff, and they have already changed some map areas. The mobs are indeed repetitive in fact it was way worse when The game came out. The storage though is centralized they are just in different ‘tabs’ if you will, for me it makes it easier to store things. For example i store all my cloth making resourses in weavers fen, hides in ebonscale, ores and bars in windsward, and wood in brightwood. In late game you will have enough of the stuff to take up more than a single towns storage. As for the constant stun locking i’ll be honest i’ve never had a problem with that. I usually dodge into a crowd and use a skill with grit (like shockwave on a warhammer) to cc the mob pile so that i can then take them out easier. But over all a good review. I love that the game is still getting new people. And i believe that in the future it will be an even better game.
15:24 Yes Please! One of the things that NW stand out is map veritcality. There are some serious mountains you can walk on and then jump off. I always wanted a way to utilize those(tbh there is some weapons skills that sends your flying from the ledges, sword leap strike for example). We need AT LEAST gliding mounts, and flying can be next!
Please no flying, it kills the pvp in every game it's implemented and makes everything easy mode....oh do I need to go to that location let me jump pop in my flying mount and Skipp every danger...nah
It's true the foundation of this game is actually amazing, I have 54 hrs so far and I completely agree with getting stun locked by mobs is annoying but I think an easy fix for Amazon!! Honestly it is a great game don't understand hate for the game it's got some issues but honestly solid MMORPG in my opinion!!
For stunlocks : Grit through strength, blocking more helps a bunch. You're being punished for being too offensive and not paying enough attention to enemy actions :)
I've played New World since launch off and on. your review is spot on. When it launched it was much more difficult think vanilla WoW than it is now. My biggest issue in the beginning was I got bored as the story was nonexistent and was too repetitive as it felt everything was cut and pasted the towns are the exact same only flipped in some areas I've never got a character to max level as I either quit then came back and started a new one. The expansion was great mounts are a game changer also there are more fast travel shrines now than at launch. Travel was much more daunting at launch and costed much more Azoth to travel. I give credit to Amazon's development team as they have addressed almost all of the issues. Lack of swimming is one of the top issues that everyone mentions. I'm currently working on getting to max level now.
Thanks man, I'm having a ton of fun making them and trying new games, especially once I'm through a lot of the more mainstream or popular ones its going to be fun delving into much more obscure and lesser known titles.
I remember playing NW in CBT and I was so happy to see wolfs having their own attack pattern. Wish all mobs had it in MMO's. NW like many other MMO's had so much potential.
@@CubaSmileSauce You can still buy and play the base game for $15, but you won’t have access to the expansion content such as mounts and the new areas.
I loved new worlds monetization compared to a lot of other modern games. I can only remember like three times in 700ish hours that they poped a store notification up on me. Compared to most games where going into and being forced to use the stores as part of many games tutorials was like black and white.
The water depth is to prevent shortcutting and to contain players and while wearing 100 lbs of armor, it makes sense that you couldnt swim and ya just sink.
Awesome video! This convinced me to give it a shot it’s on sale right now on Steam, thank you! One thing though I feel like adding swimming wouldn’t be the best idea. I personally hate the fact that you can swim is all of these MMOs. These games are supposed to depict realistic movement you shouldn’t be able to swim while wearing armor.
I think they should add swimming, but only for light armor. It really does make more sense to not be able to swim or float in medium or heavy armor. I know we're used to swimming in plate armor in games, but I actually like the way water breaks up the landscape here. I just do wish I could swim in light armor.
if you wanna get deep into this game, id recommend joining a guild. They're always looking to pass on knowledge to new players, and willing to help out with leveling you up so you can participate with late game pvp.
Honestly I put in about 250 hours when it was released. It was a full game on release, but lacked some of the QoL things that many players feel like they should have: things like mounts and swimming. The PvP was definitely stressful on the servers and there was a lot of freezing especially in large PvP. Combat is good in New World on the whole. It's a beautiful game and provides a lot of content for the price tag.
Funny, I cannot even get the game to launch. Every install on steam, I get an error message and the game crashes. I've tried three separate downloads and then just gave up.
20:44 Oh yeah, there's ways to get around the staggering that the enemies do. Its all in combat style, perks, and weapon with weapon skills your using. Utilizing "Grit," "Fortification," and "Uninterruptible," abilities and perks helps offset and and in most cases completely nullify the stagger issue u were having. Read into the skills and perks to find a way around this issue u were having.
There is no requirement for the interaction with water during the gameplay. That is why you can't swim. As you could circumvent intended exploration/progression if you could swim.
!!curse!! WATER/SWIMING is a lore thing, every body talks about but dont understand, the island is cursed, every one that get is canot get out and canot forever die, thats why you cant swim, if anything try to get off the island will sunk and die and go back to the island
This version of the game is after they already reworked mobs/locations to be more unique :D Imagine how it was at launch. But they could for sure do a lot more on this topic.
i live your vidio ive been slowly leveling up to 30 now game dosent seem that great yet being hopeful tho i havent played a great game sinve final fantasy 11 with the protect the outpost was cool anyway great video gonna keep on going
You can get 3 houses and you forgot the Trophy System so you can craft and upgrade or buy Tropys and put them into your house to get dmg, craft and gather buffs. All and all a very good Video
about swimming, and sorry if I sound silly... but wouldn't having so much heavy armor, weapons, items make it impossible to swim? one might even go extreme and say - hey, all these other MMOs with swimming with all that stuff on you make less sense than the death-walking in NW. I'm ready to be proven wrong.
New World absolutely gets a bad wrap from the overall MMO community man, I've reviewed 7-8 different MMO's since then as a new player and I can still confidently say New World is one of my favorites that I've played.
awsome video bro im also trying new world out for the first time and I'm having a lot of fun despite all the negative things others say . an if it keeps fixing and improving this game should turn out pretty solid , an coming from a dark souls people need to keep that pvp on the game is 100x better especially with friends.
I think the walking under water is intended to be like that. You are no longer human. You are probably closer to undead. Think Davy Jones' crew walking on the sea floor in Pirate of the Caribbean. I don't really think this game needs a swimming system anyway. Also .. regarding the stun lock from multiple enemies. Get grit on your skills (you are uninterruptible). This is also intended to work this way.
they haven't fixed swimming yet because i think they said they want to integrate it into a bigger mechanic, probably make it its own skill and center an update around it, similar to riding and how it was one of the selling points for the most recent expansion.
When it comes to concerns about enemy staggering and player mobility. I feel like you were in heavy armor a majority of the time, running light really changes thing's with mobility and even using weapon abilities that have mobility aspects to them helps. Dodging in this game is super important so you do not get staggered and others things like grit for a tank if you have 300 con are super important and you basically become a brick wall that cant be moved. Spend some time doing more high level PVE mutations and this will become more clear to you and make the combat system make more sense and become even more enjoyable.
As someone who played on release, the game itself has very awesome systems. The issue on release was people just didn't put the effort in in the long term and it meant a single faction could take over a whole map and then you felt completely useless if you weren't part of it. Now with a more active, smaller player base on specific worlds, it seems like it could be very good to play and you'll actually be actively able to participate in the world related events and faction war content. If I had people to play with, I would probably give it ago. Also, mounts were 100% needed, its incredible it took an expansion for that to happen.
I returned to the game for The Angry Earth expansion. Before that I played the first month or so after NW initial launch. I do really love the mounts, it made the levelling process much less tedious. But my main gripes with the game is the fact that you can't save more than one weapon tree build. I had certain abilities I liked to use say with the Spear in PvE, but other abilities I preferred in PvP. The fact that you have to respec every time to fit the game mode you're playing just felt totally inconvenient. Also, the crafting as simple as it seems at first, actually doesn't explain how you get to end game items. I was overwhelmed by the sheer amount I had to craft in order to get to late game items, which was the only way I could upgrade my Artifact. And then there's the water/no swimming. And although it doesn't come up often, the times where you do find yourself in water, is just so stupid to me. Having to trudge your way through like your bodyweight just tripled, along the sea/river-bed just seemed like such a lazy thing that ruined immersion. There are hardly any tutorials out there that are up to date with Angry Earth, and the ones that are expect you to have existing knowledge on the base game/end game in the first place. I felt totally lost when I got to max level in the end game. Tried looking up guides but there were no clear-cut beginner guides out there that I found helpful. I just felt left overwhelmed in a world, where everyone else was getting stuck in and grinding end game content.
A lot of this was already there. It's end game that sucked. Issues with imbalance between factions. It always ended with one hugely dominant group dominating the map. Human nature. This needs to be pyshologically addressed. The bugs and experts cheating the system was rampant. Often the same people blatantly cheating were those dominating the server. They'd also dominate chat. It was a toxic system. End game revolved around having to partake and socialise with these toxic loud mouthed people. It was so bad nearly everyone had left only a month after its strong launch. Have they addressed these huge problems? If not it's no no for me.
I played NW at launch, loved it, haven't played it much since since it was in rough state at endgame. I also played GW2 at launch and loved it, also haven't played since. Of the two you tested recently what would you recommend more in their current states?
I just started this week and I am having a blast. I've been (for the most part) enjoying it at my own pace and play style which actually feels good. Taking time to gather, craft, side quest almost "completionist" like. It's crazy how having every aspect of the game being readily available on one character makes taking your time so enjoyable. I get excited to see that "OMG I can finally gain X resource to craft Y item" and then try out that new weapon / armor set. New World so far has let me dictate what kind of action combat role I want to play without completely hamstringing my progress.... Yeah you'll see me out there sniping enemies and when they get close whipping out my boomstick. Not sure how well that'll plan out in the future, but for now it feels fun and not too frustrating. Nice review! almost 100% of the way I feel right now. Subscribed P.S. Wearing armor and swimming seems counter intuitive to me but then again.... So does Magic and Ghosts.
So weird that I was thinking about New world like 10 mins before I saw your video lol. I wanted to try it. Also was already gonna try out guild wars 2, but then saw ur vid and made me try it quicker after haha. I'm having fun on guild wars 2, and gonna buy the expansion soon once I get some money. You should please please try out elder scrolls online.
Hi Waydot, amazing video as always! I couldn't, but notice that your video didn't reach its full potential in editing and I believe it would've made some part a little more entertaining. I was wondering if you were interested in a business inquiry. Have a great day!
ill never understand why people dont want mounts in new world. like dude the game has TELEPORTS. if your against mounts then you should also be against the teleports.
My pc ran solo open world at around 25-30fps but any dungeon world pvp with more than 4 players would drop my frames to 10-15 with no hope of doing wars or invasions so I had to quit new world is one of the most captivating mmorpgs for me I love the city aspects the world pvp and pvp quest were always fun but sadly maybe 10 days into launch most players had either been tired of being flagged or realized it was better xp to just run between every city turning in work orders which meant being unflagged despite all it's flaws its a mmorpg I hope to return to if I ever get the equipment to run it smooth
obviously this is a very old video but your bit about staggering I'm pretty sure most if not a lot of weapons have a GRIT effect that allows you to ignore staggering for example I remember the 2h mace having grit on heavy attack
Yeah, the stun locking. I stopped after launch due to this. I found this video to see a recent review and its still there lol. I will check back in 2 years, see if anything changes, thx o/.
Good video... fair criticism from a new player. Welcome to Covenant Isabella!! I would say the combat with the staggers and body blocking and stuff is just part of the design. Your loadout was far from optimized for the way you were playing. Blocking is rarely the way to go unless you're using a shield. You should try dropping the shield and change your loadout to take advantage of the better dodges on lower weight builds. In general with combat, you need to pick your fights carefully, change your fighting style to match your armor loadout and weapons, and take advantage of skills that both cc the enemy and prevent the CC on you. The shield does nothing but add weight unless you are using a weapon that uses the shield, and you want to avoid being blocked in by mobs and the terrain.. when I fight corrupted (what you died to in the clip of getting body blocked in) I often use a spear and run light armor...they take more damage to "thrust" or piercing damage, the spear rewards a high mobility playstyle, big attacks and cooldown decreases on dodges so it plays together to be agile. Skewer, Perforate, and Sweep are my go-to abilities on spear... I usually run Greataxe mostly in group content to help group up mobs together for the team to dps them down in clumps. If you wanna just facetank all the damage, you need to look for things that provide grit, while you have grit you won't be staggered so much. My typical role when playing with my friends in dungeons (Mutations) is the tank. I always run 300 con as the tank so all my light/heavy attacks provide grit. Then if I'm getting some level of heals, I can just spam my attacks and I rarely get knocked back because the only time I don't have grit are very limited spaces right in between attacks... when I solo I usually don't run heavy.. only for tanking. Also, if you want some ranged and a greataxe... give the throwing hatchet a try, it's a lot of fun right now imo. The new tier of gear "artifacts" are not just a new tier. They are basically like Destiny Exotic items (unique items with a special unique trait). The whole game is kind of like a fantasy based destiny game. I'm surprised more people don't see the comparison. Destiny has several different races with a certain number of varieties of mobs and new world also has several different mob types with certain varieties (Lost, Angry Earth, Ancient, Corrupted, Beast). I think New World has done a good job of adding quite a bit more mob variety within the 2 years its been out compared to Destiny, which has barely added any new mob types and only one new race in nearly a decade.
7:00 you probably just miss spoke there, but no need to travel to a specific city to get the stuff. However you would still need to remember where you left the stuff to open the correct storage from the system. So yes, it really should be centralized see everything from one screen system. They still can keep the part of needing to visit new spots to open more storage, but yeah storage still isn't great. The faction system seems bit pointless right now and hence you can accidentally join one without realizing the system. You can change the faction if you wish, so not that big of a problem in that sense. Also there is no daily limit to the faction missions, but there is 3 daily you get a bonus from. The game also has some other things on daily limits and what not which is controversial. Its a great game since many played a lot of it, but they also made so much wrong and taken a long time to fix things, that may have not still been a proper fix. They could have done much more with same effort (like different skins for the mobs in different areas etc). So yes it is a hate love relation to NW. There is still hope (and copium), but right now I don't trust the devs to take the game in the right way. So that is why I didn't get the expansion.
oh boi :D bodyblocks are good thing in pvp. if u wana mobility - u can try light load not hvy )) about stulocking from mobs : theres always window for shift. so once u surrounded do shift + grit skill \ heavy attack )
Just returned after 1000+ hrs at launch. I think they are doing a good job with cleaning things up. The game you are playing now is how it should have launched maybe less a couple of dungeons to be fair. The ONE THING that kills me about this game is the lack of meaningful open world pvp. Keep OPR and 3v3's thats fine and all but, make open world something meaningful and meaty :-) The faction races are cool and all but not enough by a long shot.
Both are great choices, bdo is a bit more pay to win with more of an asian style to it, however its crafting and "lifeskill" system is second to none, ill be making a video on bdo in the future as well!
I've been playing since 2 months after release... amd let me tell you, your experience was much better than ours. At that time, you couldn't even trade between storages, meaning you had to travel... and traveling was ass. There was only 2 fast travel shrines per territory... and it used to cost up to 500 azoth. I can say that NW definitely should've definitely released at $70 now with all the content and QoL updates and it would've done way better than releasing a $40 beta
I'm not even able to get my heart rune due to the quest not showing up. This is a known bug. Imagine not even being able to have such an imperative aspect of a build.
ive got 800~ ish hours in the game and although i love it theres nothing really there at the end end game unless you want to farm millions of gold for pvp sets

Definitely worth another shot man!
I came back too after that launch. Love the game most days now. You won’t regret it.
Eso was balls at the start too , same with ffxiv. This will be dope I bet ya
The games amazing right now.
You need to come back. None of those things are a thing anymore. The game has changed in all the right ways.
They added swimming
for the storage system, you can actually access all of your settlement storages from 1 storage unit. its a pretty neat design which allows me to have certain storages for certain types of items
As someone who has 4.5k hours in New world this was really nice to watch. My first 500 hours was the great so addicting.
4.5k wtf 😂
Glad you had fun for at least 500 hrs
😂😂😂😂@@lobtron
Really well done video! Subbed
@@Bisclas Thats why it should be limited. Not permament flying of course.
I've been playing this over the last month. Really enjoying my stay.
I'm having so much fun playing this game
It's true the foundation of this game is actually amazing, I have 54 hrs so far and I completely agree with getting stun locked by mobs is annoying but I think an easy fix for Amazon!! Honestly it is a great game don't understand hate for the game it's got some issues but honestly solid MMORPG in my opinion!!
Great video, i played it for about 500h and i think u nailed it with ur opinion!
For stunlocks : Grit through strength, blocking more helps a bunch. You're being punished for being too offensive and not paying enough attention to enemy actions :)
Definitely a game I can eventually give a try.
Never actually heard of it before this point.
If the devs made expeditions scale with players and soloable, that would make it better instantly.
Great video, I enjoyed how you described your experience and I hope the devs watch this as well.
Thanks man!
Recently-added Transmog system makes New World a contender, as "ENDGAME = Fashion" for any MMO, eh? Nice summary. SUBBED
love these first impression videos could watch a whole series on games ive never even heard before
Thanks man, I'm having a ton of fun making them and trying new games, especially once I'm through a lot of the more mainstream or popular ones its going to be fun delving into much more obscure and lesser known titles.
I remember playing NW in CBT and I was so happy to see wolfs having their own attack pattern. Wish all mobs had it in MMO's. NW like many other MMO's had so much potential.
It's on sale with the expansion for $45 on Steam starting from today for a week! Now is as good a time as ever for me to pick this up.
is the expansion mandatory in order to play highest difficulty content with friends?
@@CubaSmileSauce You can still buy and play the base game for $15, but you won’t have access to the expansion content such as mounts and the new areas.
I wasn't sure about this game but after this video you've sold me on trying it haha, cheers for a the great video.
I loved new worlds monetization compared to a lot of other modern games. I can only remember like three times in 700ish hours that they poped a store notification up on me. Compared to most games where going into and being forced to use the stores as part of many games tutorials was like black and white.
On point review of the game. I honestly backed in and out of it multiple times but man do I enjoy it lately!!!
The water depth is to prevent shortcutting and to contain players and while wearing 100 lbs of armor, it makes sense that you couldnt swim and ya just sink.
Yes but you can't swim with clothes also.
love your work waydot
I’m really thinking about getting this
Awesome video!
The devs said they’re adding swimming lol
Probably my favorite game I've ever gathered Wc, Mining, Skinning in so satisfying sounds n all.
Dude you're going to go a long way. You've earned a subscriber. Quality content and wishing you all the best.
Thanks very much man I appreciate that :)
!!curse!! WATER/SWIMING is a lore thing, every body talks about but dont understand, the island is cursed, every one that get is canot get out and canot forever die, thats why you cant swim, if anything try to get off the island will sunk and die and go back to the island
i needed this video thank you for your work
This version of the game is after they already reworked mobs/locations to be more unique :D Imagine how it was at launch.
I got selected for the test, i’m so hyped
I was curious if I am bothered to give it a go and this vid answered all my questions. Cheers bro
Wait at the first place can you really swim when you're heavily plated with metal around you're body
I have an on and off relationship with new world, but for the mean time l, i like her a lot.
about swimming, and sorry if I sound silly... but wouldn't having so much heavy armor, weapons, items make it impossible to swim?
one might even go extreme and say - hey, all these other MMOs with swimming with all that stuff on you make less sense than the death-walking in NW.
I'm ready to be proven wrong.
Great to see some positivity. Good video
JUST BOUGHT IT ... its on sale so if yall watching this today!!!!! GO GO GO buy it! Sale ends March 21
This is also intended to work this way.
they haven't fixed swimming yet because i think they said they want to integrate it into a bigger mechanic, probably make it its own skill and center an update around it, similar to riding and how it was one of the selling points for the most recent expansion.
gotcha, still you would think within 2 years that would be something they would adress considering how frequently you run into water in the game.
Had no idea you played, I started about a month ago and loving it so far. Which server you on?
NW feels completely different from the launch. The devs have really done a great job to fix the bugs, adding content, and huge QoL improvements.
Spend some time doing more high level PVE mutations and this will become more clear to you and make the combat system make more sense and become even more enjoyable.
yeahh this is huge. didn't see much in the gameplay trying to use I-frames, blocking is a pretty situational tactic in NW.
Can not wait for next video, you must try chest runs and portal raids
Hey they added Swimming in the beta for Aeternum!
I'm going to give a try soon too. Still can't believe they haven't added swimming though. What is this 2001?
Try not to filter the shop by tier but by price and search for the specific item. This might save you some money. You spent a lot on them potions :D
I was hoping no one would notice that part LOL
@@Waydots lol Lets hope they dont find this comment. nice video
Very good video, you captured most of the thing good and bad in NW.
Subscribed
One thing new world did well for new players was if you think something works in a certain way. It probably does.
I haven't played since way back when the devs said they were never going to add mounts. If I can get it running on Linux I am going to buy that DLC!
I been trying to force myself out of my guild wars 2 addction and this is the only other MMO I can sit and play for hours
Nice vid bro keep it up
Great video
So that is why I didn't get the expansion.
yoo new game lets goo
What's funny is that they have been re designing some of the towns already 😂
oh boi :D bodyblocks are good thing in pvp. if u wana mobility - u can try light load not hvy )) about stulocking from mobs : theres always window for shift. so once u surrounded do shift + grit skill \ heavy attack )
Glad you came back after 1000+ hrs
Oh man pvp at launch was soooo fun. I miss it :(
Between this and Black Desert, which one would people go for? Can only get one of them, and they both have discounts on starting packages.
Both are great choices, bdo is a bit more pay to win with more of an asian style to it, however its crafting and "lifeskill" system is second to none, ill be making a video on bdo in the future as well!
@@Waydots nice one, looking forward to it.
I agree, I’m at 600 hours and have put the game down till next expansion I guess, end game gets boring real quick
I don't know if there's anything left after 800 hrs of anything
@@lobtron ?? do you even play other mmos or games lmao
Very good and fair assessment.
