It's a bit early to make a statement like this, as I've only played for 11 hours so far, but coming off of Throne and Liberty, this feels SO much more polished. Especially the UI is so much simpler and less convoluted with BS. The combat is very simple. Maybe even a bit too simple but again, it's too early to say. I hate playing on mnk. I own a high end PC but I play 99% of my games on controller and will actively avoid games that force me to use mnk. Just refunded Satisfactory a couple of days ago for that very reason. T&L was do-able on controller, but this game feels WAY more natural, and seeming as it's actually kind of a re-launch (for what I understand, atleast) for an MMO that's been out for years, it means there's much more to do. Once I reached endgame with T&L, I was instantly bored of it. Also hated the gear mechanics in that game. Like, you just had to craft everything and as far as I could tell, there wasn't really solid transmog either. This game seems like it has all of these things. I'm constantly switching out weapons and gear, and it gives me that nice feeling of progression, equipping a weapon that's much better than what I have on. It feels more natural. I hope the endgame is fulfilling and that there's enough variety, not just (open world) dungeons. Already heard there's raids in the game so that's a plus. That will mean I have a solid reason to keep grinding my gear and learn so that I can do stuff like that. So far, this game is what I wanted T&L to be
I agree. The pacing is much more relaxed too. Throne and liberty was a rush and I was so worried about min maxing and getting right gear. With NW I am just enjoying building my skills and exploring as I level up.
@@fleezie7376 Exactly, and that's probably because we realize this is an MMO that's been out for years so no need to get to the endgame quickly as people already have crazy maxed out characters

I have found that Mining is the most painful since Trees are everywhere but Iron Ore is not as easy and with everyone mining it getting that Ore and mining skill up going to take a very long time since you will be struck grinding on boulders for those skill ups. But yes craft those Tools and actually craft some more Iron Tools and put them up for sale. Also hit up the Auction House and buy that Iron Ore and if need be those Tools. Oh and get some gear since the drops/quest rewards will not get you better gear but the Auction House will.
Great video man, just one question is it possible to queue for an expedition and it puts you in it with randoms or do you actually have to have a party before doing it??
There's a party finder you can use, and you can also go to the expedition door and it will show you lobbies for other players doing it so you can join random groups two ways
Good video, but why didn't you mention music?? Personally, I thought that was just some roleplayer bs, but it's VERY useful. And you get that quest quite early. Basically, you just play an instrument and get a buff. At music lvl 2, you get increased gathering speed, and at lvl 5 you get an insanely useful one: increased territory standing bonus. And getting to lvl 5 is done in just a couple of minutes. Btw, you choose the buff when selecting melody/song. If you play perfectly, the buff lasts for 90 mins and you get the best version of the buff (ie +30% territory standing), a little "worse" and it's 60 mins and reduced effect of the buff (ie +20%). But don't worry, it's easy, and just repeat the process when the buff runs out.
tip for new players the community is pretty chill if u see someone running the same quest as u inv them they will probs join and make lvling way more fun and easy
I gave up on New World after about 300 hours of playtime because it took me too much effort to get good gear for the various dungeon versions. I couldn't relax and play at my own time, but had to make appointments with fixed groups to have a chance of getting good loot in the dungeons. In the long run, this became too much deadline work for me instead of relaxed gameplay. Now I've thought about returning and giving the game another chance, only to find out that, for getting top level gear, you either have to play PvP, which I hate, or you have to run the 10-man raid, for which you have to arrange to meet up with a coordinated group again in order to complete it successfully. Again, the game is made maximally hostile to players who don't want to commit to specific play times and specific play groups. This makes me lose all desire to return. I want to play when I feel like it and not be tied to the times and preferences of other players. It doesn't do me any good if the leveling has been made more single player friendly if you are ultimately forced back into organized group play in the endgame.
@@seankarl8414 I like MMOs a lot. I played a lot of MMORPGs, like WoW, GW, GW2, FFXIV, Dofus, LoTRO, LostArk, RIFT, SW:TOR and mainly The Elder Scrolls Online, where I've got way over 1000 of hours playtime. However, I prefer to play mainly in spontaneous groups that are automatically put together by the game or that come together by chance, rather than in groups for which you have to make an appointment with certain players in advance and commit to certain playing times. @@seankarl8414 Oh, and no: In ESO you can get a lot of great sets for PvE just by crafting and running dungeons with random groups. Decided to check out the updates in Aeternum. I log in and my character name was updated to have a _ in front of it, and I have to choose a new name. Someone already took the name I had. The developers decided to screw over the original playerbase in favor of the new ones, by giving away everyones names, lol. Guess I won't be checking it out.
@@GrimAbstract Yeah, 6 months. And yeah, they announced it. How many games that you are no longer playing, do you actively monitor announcements for? Still pretty scummy.
I'm sure some of the original playerbase continued to follow the game despite no longer playing it, but I would wager the majority of them did not. Those of us that only decided to check out new world again because of the update, will only learn about the name stealing once they log in and see their name is gone. It's scummy. The devs don't care about the original playerbase because they already got our money, so we can go F ourselves. This update must be good if it's already got fanbois on patrol.

What? Nothing is forced in this game, literally one of the most casual mmos on the market. I'd understand if you said this about a game like throne and liberty or lost ark...but this? I don't feel the need to log in, the need to do anything, and I can "choose" to do what I want to do when I log in. The fact that you feel this is like a 2nd job, probably is a you problem and not a game problem, especially not when it's a mostly casual mmo.
@@BoredAndBrowsing I did say "in my opinion". You're right, nothing is forced but I don't feel much is very fun either. I played it for 70+ hours which is not a lot for me for an MMO but it was a lot for how dissatisfied it left me after every session.

@@Fextralife u need a sub in eso for crafting lol
Does it really matter which class you pick in the beginning? Since anyone can use any weapon.
I looked at Professions more then anything.
Proffesions mainly i like soldier you get mining and gear crafting i think it is lvl 50 to start which is nice mining is probably the most profitable
Did the ever add a swimming animation
Whats a good way to find a company?
Its like an mmo for people who dont like MMOs. What could go wrong
I have a question, I hope some one can answer. I’ve finally hit lvl 65 and am trying to upgrade the 700 legs you get for completing the story. To get the chromatic seal needed for that you need to have 20k syndicate tokens, im at 15k now and when I hover over the tokens it says it’s capped at 15.. how will I be able to get the 20k if its maxed out already 😅. + will the armor matrix be tradable / buyable in the AH ?
Anyone having trouble with mouse scrolling off screen on multiple monitors? On PC, driving me crazy. Yes, I'm in Fullscreen mode.
Anyone know the name of the Viking Huscarl helm featured st 7:29 in video. Is this a cash shop item?
You can only get the mount if you have the DLC
This is a New World: Aeternum Guide. If you own New World: Aeternum you have access to the mount.
@@Fextralife rise of the angry earth is what you have to buy in order to unlock the mount and abilities for the flail just getting new world aeternum won’t unlock those. Unless it’s a bug. Right on the d pad is how you summon your mount but every time I click it states you have to purchase rise of the angry earth to Summon a mount. Same thing happens when I try to unlock abilities for the flail
Can magic users do expeditions now? Everything was great axe/war hammer all the time 🙄
I’ve seen ice and fire users yes
What exactly is the bandwidth setting?? It sets default on medium. You need to have good internet connection to set on high??
@@ingloriousgr2437 set that to high first thing. They probably default to medium so you still have bandwidth to shop on Amazon 😂
I like fishing in this game
Can I roll instead of dash
Yes, you’ll have to wear light armor.
Can you go through the game with only one weapon ??
How is this game different from eso eldenring or ff14
Amazon has failed and this game is not for me...
If you enjoy this game...its okay...
But this game sux like hell and I laaauuggghhttt at it :D :D :D
FF XIV: A Realm Reborn supremacy !!!
Azoth is literally the easiest thing to keep..
This game is fun as fuck
So if i have base game i only need to buy dlc? And can i still use my old character or start over for this update?
You can buy the angry earth dlc. Also, yes you can play old character or make new ones.
My server is pretty dead mobs take forever to spawn, few if any people running the same quests or in samebarea.. under lvl 30.making the game pretty boring
I've gone you a new server and it's packed I can't even walk lol
@@MrErick1160 dam I'm on Aquarius, it was packed at the start not sure if everyone hit max that day.. it wouldn't be so bad it mobs would spawn.
@@Crazywhitie It's a weekday and not a holiday. You will get better luck on the weekend.
The good thing with less popular servers is that you build a sense of community.
I craft then sell them on the Auction House
So...did they fix the issue where playing this causes certain graphics cards to self destruct?
That's been fixed since like week 2
That was never a game issue and always card manufacturer defect that would have happened with any game that pushed the card to its limit. Particularly to one brand and batch number.
Was never a game issue, just a symptom of badly/defective GPUs.
I've got a potato, it's fine for me 😎
Here's a best tip: don't grind again on a fresh server; you'll regret it.
There had to be a certain amount of time you haven't played for that to happen, they announced this. Should have logged in lol.
@@GrimAbstract Yeah, 6 months. And yeah, they announced it. How many games that you are no longer playing, do you actively monitor announcements for? Still pretty scummy.
lol you should have logged in haha
I'm sure some of the original playerbase continued to follow the game despite no longer playing it, but I would wager the majority of them did not. Those of us that only decided to check out new world again because of the update, will only learn about the name stealing once they log in and see their name is gone. It's scummy. The devs don't care about the original playerbase because they already got our money, so we can go F ourselves.
This update must be good if it's already got fanbois on patrol.
Aww too bad.
Best mmo atm!!! Love new world!
I have high hopes
Suprised you didnt talk about the not need to horde azoth you spend most the time at cap
Do i get this or do i wait for dragon age?
They are very different games, difficult choice.
I’d choose this over Dragon Age.
If have to choose one i would get Dragon Age over this. That is a story based rpg. This is an mmo with good atmosphere
I will never return to that dumpster fire of a game after how the release went. Not for me no sirry.
FF14 went through the same thing. Disasterous launch that took 3 yrs to overhaul.
There is no Australian server for this game high lag do not buy sony will not give you a refund.
Azoth
its only been a couple weeks, and the game is dead again LOL. Trade house is dead, LFG takes hours sometimes, the only expeditions are M3s, and Amrine. Too bad, but no surprise.
The most impressive thing is how Jeff Bezos coded the entire game himself
What is up with the anti aliasing on pc game looks horrible
This video makes me not want to buy this game. Thanks.
I have 1600hrs on new world. They said screw the pc players, left us with a broken and shattered game. Bugs, lack of content, bots. Screw amazon games. They took my mmo away from me.
Chill
I mean, FF14 also had a disasterous launch and needed 3 years to overhaul. NW was obviously not ready then and idk why you all never saw through that lol. You were practically guilible guinea pigs for 3yrs so sorry for your loss.
It's aternum no aaaaaaaaaturnum
First? Wtf
Honestly in my experience and in my opinion this game feels like having a second job that you don't get paid for
Never play World of warcraft 😂, I'm a wow player and aetherium feels like holidays.
@@BoredAndBrowsing I did say "in my opinion". You're right, nothing is forced but I don't feel much is very fun either. I played it for 70+ hours which is not a lot for me for an MMO but it was a lot for how dissatisfied it left me after every session.
@@MrErick1160 I like WoW. I think it's easier to have a good time without actually labouring in WoW. Yes the grinding is worse but it's also just more mindless relaxation if you want it to be.
That sounds like a terrible experience. Why do you play if it feels that daunting?
First?
elden ring but worst ok ill pass lol
Nothing like Elden ring at all in any way
Crafting. Fuck I hate that shit. Such a boring thing imo. Gonna pass on this game.
the lock on the enemy has ruined the game for me...
Did you think Maria from Silent Hill 2 Remake looked ugly in the game?
You forgot to tell Xbox players to turn off cross play before launching the game and starting a new character
Why?
Shits DOA. The players are non existent. And I mean player players. Not the rush of thousands of goobers who won’t ever even hit level 30. This ain’t the play. Game had cool ideas, Amazon executed terribly.
I wish I knew AGS WOULD FKING BAN ME FOR SAYING "HAWK TUAH" IN CHAT. WHERE IS MY REFUND.
Wtf. They banned you for that? I am definitely not buying this game. Nope.
We probably get banned for saying I'm a male gamer. 😂
Game is prude af anyways.
Did it stick?? Is there recourse?? I want to know if it’s permanent
@@JoshRC32 that would help. 😅
Why do these videos always start with "Top TEN THINGS TO KNOW" Then the person just drones on about basic/tutorial gameplay? Oh that's right! They can't get enough of their own bs.
Spam video
Why do you sound so bored?
Just how he talks
