I'm having a lot of fun playing this on PS5, runs super smooth - easy to play and being able to just chill on the couch while playing is a level of comfort I didn't know I would enjoy so much.
More tips! - there are certain items like armor scraps or strange resins/ore, stuff like that can help level your refining and crafting lvl. - level your music to at least lvl 25. You then can use spare music sheets that you cant salvage and use it to lvl your music lvl. - even if you dont pvp, grab a faction and do your faction quests. Theres usually 6 altogether, 3 pve based and 3 pvp. Just keep doing the pve stuff and this will allow you to gain good stuff from the faction stores.
I was totally going to skip this game, but the more I learn about the game, the more I want to play. I’m going to give it a try. I’m a console player and we don’t have many MMO’s to choose from.
I gave up on New World after about 300 hours of playtime because it took me too much effort to get good gear for the various dungeon versions. I couldn't relax and play at my own time, but had to make appointments with fixed groups to have a chance of getting good loot in the dungeons. In the long run, this became too much deadline work for me instead of relaxed gameplay. Now I've thought about returning and giving the game another chance, only to find out that, for getting top level gear, you either have to play PvP, which I hate, or you have to run the 10-man raid, for which you have to arrange to meet up with a coordinated group again in order to complete it successfully. Again, the game is made maximally hostile to players who don't want to commit to specific play times and specific play groups. This makes me lose all desire to return. I want to play when I feel like it and not be tied to the times and preferences of other players. It doesn't do me any good if the leveling has been made more single player friendly if you are ultimately forced back into organized group play in the endgame.
@@seankarl8414 I like MMOs a lot. I played a lot of MMORPGs, like WoW, GW, GW2, FFXIV, Dofus, LoTRO, LostArk, RIFT, SW:TOR and mainly The Elder Scrolls Online, where I've got way over 1000 of hours playtime. However, I prefer to play mainly in spontaneous groups that are automatically put together by the game or that come together by chance, rather than in groups for which you have to make an appointment with certain players in advance and commit to certain playing times. But unfortunately in New World you are forced to get together in organized groups, because random grouping doesn't work in the endgame.
@@seankarl8414 Oh, and no: In ESO you can get a lot of great sets for PvE just by crafting and running dungeons with random groups. PvP isn't needed at all and Raids only if you want the absolute top of the top BIS gear, while one can enjoy the very majority of the content with overland sets as well and you can get EVERY set to top level. In Aeternum one has to play PvP or Raids to get any top level gear. Even dungeons aren't enough. That's just ridiculous.
@@blutinted4739 No it has not. Even in New World it wasn't that way, at least last year in May it wasn't so. Back then you could get BIS from 4-player dungeons. And in TESO you can upgrade every set you want to top level if you want. So no. You're wrong. This is not the endgame of ALL MMOs. And apart from that, you can't compare the complexity of WoW raids with that of New World. To make it clear. I've got no problem that the best sets with the best set perks can only be get in the raid. But that you can't get max gear level outside of the raid or PvP is simply blunt to the disadvantage of casual players. Sure you can do that, but that will kill the game again on the long run.
That was never a game issue and always card manufacturer defect that would have happened with any game that pushed the card to its limit. Particularly to one brand and batch number.
My server is pretty dead mobs take forever to spawn, few if any people running the same quests or in samebarea.. under lvl 30.making the game pretty boring
Decided to check out the updates in Aeternum. I log in and my character name was updated to have a _ in front of it, and I have to choose a new name. Someone already took the name I had. The developers decided to screw over the original playerbase in favor of the new ones, by giving away everyones names, lol. Guess I won't be checking it out.
tip for new players the community is pretty chill if u see someone running the same quest as u inv them they will probs join and make lvling way more fun and easy
amazon just DESTRYOED the last hope for new world, adding things like auto fking aim and removing some important things like fking ammo, the game is way too easy now plus if you dont buy the DLC then is completely useless to even look at the game

I was skeptical. But having an mmo with this depth on ps5 while chilling on the couch has got me hooked.
This.

So far it's pretty fun. I'm on ps5 and having a good time. The world chat is moderately toxic tho.
@@AngelXterror I'd just turn it off. Once you get in to a good guild you'll be chatting there most of the time anyways.
It's so good.
For the cost of a pizza, you’ll get 100+ hours game time
@@AngelXterrormoderately? Lol
Fantastic refresher for someone who hasn't played since the original launch
Game is good on the console so far. I would definetely recommend
So if i have base game i only need to buy dlc? And can i still use my old character or start over for this update?
Regarding the mount, is the quest at lvl 20 for everyone or you have to buy the expansion?
You NEED the DLC, if you don't have the DLC, you don't have mounts.

Sounds like you just don't enjoy MMO's dude, to get the best gear in any MMO you have to Raid or PVP. Whomp whomp.

Is there a discord y'all have I need people to play with
So...did they fix the issue where playing this causes certain graphics cards to self destruct?
That's been fixed since like week 2
That was never a game issue and always card manufacturer defect that would have happened with any game that pushed the card to its limit. Particularly to one brand and batch number.
Was never a game issue, just a symptom of badly/defective GPUs.
Very good game,i was playing TeL but i tried NW now i cant go back
