I remember my grandparents renting this movie for me and she was shocked to hear the bad language in this movie and when it got to the barbie part of the the movie she turned it off I never got to finish it until 20 years later lol
This is one of my all time favorite Joe Dante movies. While you may not have really enjoyed the movie, your review was much better than the Nostalgia Critic's . :)
As much of a guilty pleasure this movie is to me, I agree that there are missed opportunities (especially making Archer and the Gorgonites become stronger fighters over the course of the movie). Hate to sound PC, but since the Commando Elite & Gorgonites are based off G.I. Joe & Masters of the Universe toys, I'm surprised that there are no female figures in either line (those Gwendy dolls don't count). Like say the "tolken" female toy betrays one team & joins the other, in this case the female character on the Commando Elite is the "traitor" and joins the Gorgonites at the end.
No offense but I don't think this was Phil Hartman's last film Some say it was either Buster & Chauncey's Silent Night or Kiki's Delivery Service that was Phil's last film
Phil Hartman could've been the villain with his SNL pal Chris Farley as the title character in the still unmade and supposedly "cursed" film adaptation of *Atuk,* had they both not passed away; along with the other contenders for the role of Atuk throughout the years: John Belushi, Sam Kinison, and John Candy.
this is probably the third review I've seen about this movie in this style. And nobody's mentioned yet about the Barbies that how can they possibly walk and move without the electronical components?
They used the leftover chip from Nick Nitro, and those sick horny Commandos put wires inside them (as well at shaved off their hair & painted those skimpy fetish outfits on them).
Yes Phil Hartman. You might remember him from such movies and tv shows as Pee Wee's Big Adventure, Pee Wee's Playhouse, Jingle All The Way, The Simpsons, and Animaniacs.
I can understand why he is in a Joe Dante film: he is a great actor despite his most famous role being a hologram on the 3rd worst incarnation of Star Trek.
You should do a review of the two dr who movies that were made in amercia and you should if you wish to also do teh 50 anversy movie of Dr who that explains what happen 50 years ago.
I love this movie no matter what people say.
Same!

I actually quite like The Commando Elite, They have become one of my favorite movie villains!
Great review, I liked this movie in spite of it's flaws.

All I remember about this movie is seeing the little eyeball alien (I think his name's Ocula?) and thinking "That one is cute, I want it!"
“Don’t say calm down! Calm was *KILLING* me!” I LOVED this film as a kid! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Finally someone acknowledge how anti-climatic the final showdown was between Chip and Archer.
No offense but I don't think this was Phil Hartman's last film
Some say it was either Buster & Chauncey's Silent Night or Kiki's Delivery Service that was Phil's last film
Joshua Orro this was the last film released after his death though, it came out about six months after Phil died.

Believe it or not but this was the first PG 13 film to have child actors.
For Nick dying to be fair his legs were disposed of in the machine! It chopped them into fragments.
& that the sink could have been covered in water right
I rented small soldiers VHS at blockbuster when I was a kid.
Right when the credits rolled, I saluted you, Media Hunter.
agreed, the barbies coming to life scared me as a kid
My cousins and I loved this movie when we were kids.
Me too! I watch that movie when I was little.

Trystane gonzales yeah like with the turtles but even darker😍

Signer John I loved this movie as a kid
Chip Hazard could also be like Varian Wynn before he realized "Now, Stop! Hatin' is bad!".
this film is what happens if the guy who made full metal jacket directed toy story
This is like a live-action version of Toy Story.
Yes
26:57 Oh come on, that's the TURBO megazord formation before it tilts upward.
this review already won for me just for the zexal reference kjgkjfk
6:53 One of my favorite parts. *Ten hut!* Major Chip Hazard, reporting for duty, sir.
I always wondered how it would be if they had R Lee Ermey do the voice of Chip Hazzard.
I actually loved watching this movie review.
this is probably the third review I've seen about this movie in this style. And nobody's mentioned yet about the Barbies that how can they possibly walk and move without the electronical components?
they use nick nitros chip to bring them to life
They used the leftover chip from Nick Nitro, and those sick horny Commandos put wires inside them (as well at shaved off their hair & painted those skimpy fetish outfits on them).
The commando elite rebuilt them, thats what the frankenstein montage was to communicate.
This was a awesome film. I would've loved to see it get a sequel
0:52 You mentioned it in your "The Howling" review while listing off some of Joe Dante's other movies.
Nostalgia critic is a hack - this guy actually has skill. His reviews could stand to be shorter, though.
What about Linkara? I'm pretty sure both he and I were more strongly inspired by Linkara when making our review shows.
26:00 Nostalgia Critic Easter egg.
Commando Elite representative, reporting for duty, *sir!!*
The Globotech/Heartland thing strikes me as more of a reverse Kaibacorp, actually.
Its like the US army commissioning an fps games.

Why does Chip Hazard give me Russel Adler vibes?
Yes Phil Hartman. You might remember him from such movies and tv shows as Pee Wee's Big Adventure, Pee Wee's Playhouse, Jingle All The Way, The Simpsons, and Animaniacs.
Tommy Diaz-Millan What about Blasto?
@@heardofrvb I remember Blasto PS1 game alright
A guilty pleasure
This is on par with the Nostalgia Critic's review
Your Thumbnail reminds me a Gorgonite joins the Commando Elite.
23:07 I believe you have you seen the Nostalgia Critic review of this movie
She got his phone number in the white pages
I haven't seen this movie, but I think that Gil getting off scot-free might have been intended as a sequel hook.
Well there are orcs similar to that in skyrim
Indeed
17:55 Robert Picardo of Star Trek: Voyager? Fancy meeting you here...!
I can understand why he is in a Joe Dante film: he is a great actor despite his most famous role being a hologram on the 3rd worst incarnation of Star Trek.
I always thought that blonde woman who gives them the cards was Linda Hamilton
Or Mary Jane from Spider-Man.
Looking at the Scooter Jump Physics
Cyberman form Doctor Who; Logic what is seams
26:14 *Commandos!!! Attack!!! Go!! Go!!! GO!!!!!*
Toy story in a nutshell
YAAASSS CIVIL WAR BEATCH

This didn't have Animals? Cheater!
7:53-7:55 Uh oh.
Strangers wrath the movie
It reminds me of Gremlins but with toys
You watch Fear thy neighbor too?
It's a fun movie, but more could've been done with it
So this was meant to be darker?
Can you review Furry Vengeance?
The Nostalgia Critic reviewed this movie.
... What does that have to do with anything?
It was on Par with the Critic's review.
so what
So? More than one person can review the same movie, you know.
+Kahran042 I don't think it was indicated that the commenter said it was wrong that NC reviewed it.
I recognise Erwin😆
