Great video and the product too. The only difficulty I crossed was getting the push pin out. Did not knew what size I needed, bought a set online and was able to get it out with a 3/32 in. roll pin push.
When I was installing it my reverse wire fell out. I know, easy install, how did I do it.. but.. I found a pretty easy way to get that wire back up. Just take a thin stainless wire and bend a super small 90° angle into the end of it. Small enough that you can insert it from the top of the shifter. Insert the wire down into the shifter and you should have just enough room to grab onto the reverse wire and pull it up. Took me a couple tires to get it, but it was a lot easier than I thought it would be. Hope this helps someone!
I'm assuming the Allen key must be a 1mm or something. I have plenty of Allen key sets but none with an Allen that small. Got the car ripped apart and then found out I didnt have the proper size. Maybe include the Allen key for installation in the kits?
Can you not do this with 2022 WRX??? I can not find any lockouts for the wrx
Added the same one on my 04
Hey guys I just finish the installation in my car but for some reason when I put it in reverse the lockout stays in that position. I used some lube but still is the same. Any suggestions? thanks
Anyone know what size Allen wrench this takes? Can’t find one small enough
Would this be the same process for a 2020 BRZ?
Can’t put it the reverse lockout back
Will this fit wrx?
Dude my lockout doesnt even have the hole
This dude has the personality of the hammer he used
Man I regret buying the stupid Perrin reverse lock out. Uses the stupid OEM pin which is difficult to insert.
