the gt86 is really well made, and designed for moders. they are far easier to take apart then people think. Toyota deserve props for the disassembly!

During install mine had a rubber boot over the end link that I accidentally tore… but there wasn't one on in your video. Do I need to buy a replacement?

Has anyone installed this, that also has an aluminum/carbon driveshaft?
couple questions: 1. does the kit come with a packet of grease for the shutter? 2. Does the reverse lockout fit with other shift knobs or do you have to buy Billetworks? Thank you.
We do not include grease. Any type of all-purpose or white lithium grease will work well. We design our Reverse Lockout to have similar dimensions to the stock 13-21 BRZ/FR-S reverse lockout, meaning you can use any shift knob for a 13-21 BRZ/FR-S. Let us know if you have any other questions!
Does this have an improved reverse lockout mechanism? My stock shifter rattles like crazy because of the cable inside the reverse lockout.
We designed our reverse lockout system differently than factory, which eliminates the cable. The reverse lockout has a very snug fit on the shifter rod to eliminate any rattle. Let us know if you have any other questions!
Oh man we just installed the short shifter and it still rattles. Same rpm range, but at least now it has a different tone... At this point I'll just accept it I think
Is it possible to use other aftermarket reverse lockouts with this shifter?
Hi there! Other aftermarket reverse lockouts will not fit our short shifter. Due to the complexity of the shifter, we had to redesign to use our own lockouts. Either way, we have plenty lockout colors to choose from!
Does the rear bushing needs to be replace as well or just optional?
You do not need to replace the rear bushing! Let us know if you have any other questions!
Question…. In the website its say’s doesn’t fit on 2013-17 vehicles?

All of my Shift knobs including stock dont fit????? ..1.25mm are you only supposed to use Billetworkz shift knobs????
Our Short Shifters use the same threads as the stock shifter - 12x1.25mm. Please email us with pictures if you have any issues, thanks!

Absolutely love the shifter on my 2019 Toyota 86. However, even after tightening the lockout pins (hex screws), it still rattles at about 5500 rpms. I know others have reported the same thing. Any fixes for this yet?
