      @@CMAutohaus just a quick question, those 2 dowell pins on the rear of the transmission with the tang on them do they sit inside the shifter cradle the gear selector is attached to, i think you glanced over that bit, thanks in advance

    I’ve been trying to get the trans line up with the bell housing and it just doesn’t want to go in. I know the splines are lined up bc the input shaft doesn’t move while in gear and does when it’s in neutral. I also saw that the dials that line up my transmission aren’t on the transmission itself? One is on the bell housing and one is on the trans… idk if it snapped or if just a new design with the 2017* models. Wish me luck been jacking up the engine and trying to lift the transmission to find the sweet spot but no luck after so many hours. I’m so tired and feel like giving up

    Bro. I hear rattle on idle, below 1k rpm, in neutral. But as soon as clutch pressed in, it goes away. Also goes away in any gear, or over 1k rpm. New clutch, flywheel, picot ball, fork, springs and all seated right.

      Really common is the fork moving side to side and hitting the throw out bearing. Easy way to duplicate the noise is A/C on and at low idle.
      Aftermarket parts like the clutch can make the noise louder. If this is the case, I dont think there is anything to worry about if everything was assembled correctly.

      Should not. But it is good practice. More more of an issue on older vehicles and 1pc driveshafts

      Clutch friction disc may be on backwards or you have a bad ACT clutch out of the box

    Idk if you can help but:
    I have a P0020 check engine light on for the cam sensor for bank 2 sensor A. I’ve tried replacing the sensor and checked all others, Cleared the codes and so on. Check engine light goes away and comes back on. What else could it be?
    Possibly worth noting, the check engine light for this code did not come on until after we replaced the slave cylinder and clutch, is there anything we could have missed, unplugged, or etc that could be causing the issue?

    • @CMAutohaus
      @CMAutohaus  2 года назад

      Cam codes are nightmare on this engine especially for some reason (compared to the other FA engines) Sorry I cannot be of any real help without looking at scan tool data.

    • @CMAutohaus

      @@snowman925675 I wont be able to help sorry. Best advice I can give is to get the FSM and run through the trouble tree for P0020. First check for TSBs and Tech Tip bulletins. This is exactly how a dealer tech should go through diagnosis.
