    14 of the Twins’ next 17 games are against teams below .500. They are 9 games behind the Guardians in the loss column. They better make hay against the DBacks, Tigers, Astros and White Sox because after the All Star break the schedule gets real.

    • @benjames4502
      @benjames4502 3 месяца назад

      @@christianaugustine9490 honestly, after the last couple of years in bad trades the Twins don't have much for substance in trade bait for difference makers without hurting the future. The team should punt on this year and put up Kepler, kirilloff and Ober on the trade block at the trade deadline, then put up Julien for trade this winter if he improves and eat Vasquez's contract for prospects. Then the organization should move Martin back to second and train Lee for first base which would cement the infield for '25, next year we have more prospects coming up which would mean our biggest holes would be left field and bench players. The Twins would be a better team next year, also replenishing the farm system.

    They have won 2 games all season against a top 8 team in both leagues overall. One against the Brewers and one against the Dodgers. Total they are 2-18. I’ll buy in to the long shot that they might make and win a playoff series if and when they win even 1 of the remaining series against Milwaukee, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Atlanta, Cleveland or Baltimore.

      Fair take, but I will say his fastball had best life on it that’s it’s had all season. And it’s a more or less daily show, so recency bias is pretty forgivable. I’m ok getting excited about Pablo improving from here, and to your point, we shall see what happens…

    The focus on Pablo's sweeper makes sense. Visually he still presents as a premier starter in the league in terms of movement, location, and command... but he's gotten hit hard until yesterday's start. In other words, I believe that if he figures out the sweeper, he will beat any team and not just Oakland.
